  1. Automatic Transmission Fluid = ATF, any quality brand will do it, castrol, shell, motul, BP, etc
  2. Why would changing your plenum upset the tune on your pfc any more than on a std ecu?? I'd be going back to the pfc and getting a proper tune.
  3. definitely bore or rings, and one cylinder only - when the others are so even and OK - broken ring or gudgeon pin scraping.
  4. Apologies for slightly OT - Ignoring the initial set up costs say $1K, and the fact that you have to carry a bottle of Methanol with you on holidays, what are the down sides of having a water meth injection system? Say for instance, if you left your car for a fortnight, would the bores rust? Leakage into the sump? Anyone know? It seems a cheap way of getting more power without having to look for an E85 bowser in downtown Tennant Creek/Bourke etc
  5. You, like me need someone to use a Gizzmo k-mon or some such......do a search on the gizzmo and have a read.
  6. Lots of work, you need to take the cam covers off, the timing belt and most of the front [CAS, cam wheels, belt, etc], the inlet and the exhaust manifolds...........if you don't know, then take it to a mechanic. Attcahed is a jpeg screen shot of the manual, that should give you some idea for a R33. GL
  7. But first you have to find out if it is knock or noise??? [i'm going through this atm]
  8. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...R_700382_12.htm And most if not all the numbers for the real 3076 talked about in the thread are still there. Just drag out the numbers you want and build the turbo your after. Simple really...................lol
  9. Usually can get a tune done inside 1-2 hours = $400-600 give or take. If you get other work done [plugs, oil, cams etc] it will cost more. 2/3
  10. As the title says, I want a set of front GTS2.5t SII Skyline mats. They must be as new, no stains, no burns, no cracks, no scuff marks etc etc I want the starling egg, speckled ones. Detailed photo's are a must, unless you live in SE NSW. I had a set lined up, but the trail has gone cold. PM me with details.
  11. No they missed............
  12. I'd look at all the small things first before spending any more $$$, wiring, fuses, earth straps, coil loom, fuel pump wiring and fuel pressure, 0.8mm spark plug gap, clean AFM, O2 sensor, injector clean etc etc etc These things can drive you bats finding them. Also try this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/St...er-t233110.html
  13. I'ts my right as a human being [well close] to read this thread. Are you trying to deny me my rights, that is a Human Rights violation. You can't tell me what to do, I'll read this thread if I want to!!!!! I sh*t on your laws and rules, I listen to no one, I have read this thread and it made me feel liberated. BTW this thread suks man........
  14. UUUmmm, they strapped mine down hard, then actually checked and retightened the straps because of what they thought was wheel spin - 280rwkw, Yohohama AVs102's 255x 40's on 17" with good tread. So if they hadn't strapped it down it would have gotten bigger numbers? I might have cracked 281..... I assumed they new what they were talking about. What does wheel spin look like on a run anyway - not uncontrolled spin, but partial/light spin? Not really bothered by it, the tune is the important thing.
  15. The Einstein Factor and your special subject is 'Oil Changes for Nissan Skylines' and your time starts now......... 'How much oil is used in an RB25de/det service?' Ummm,,,,can I ask a forum?
  16. Doesn't really matter, but leave it for 5 minutes after driving it to let the oil drain back into the sump first. Some of it gets splashed around in the engine, it needs to settle.
  17. My advice, take your money out, all of it, fan it out in your hand, hold it with the fan facing down..............now get a cigarette lighter and set it all alight........... If you want to waste $$$$ at least this way you will get something out of it!!! The T04 is way too big, the 1.00 rear is light switch stuff at 7,000 rpm if at all, aim lower, a 60/70 something or around.
  18. bomb insurance is the way to go, less skylines get stolen now because they aren't worth anything, why waste your time stealing a sub $20K skyline when you can do a +$50K SS/FPV/BMW etc etc. And if you have full insurance with mods, it costs too much, you could buy another skyline in 5 years with the insurance premiums alone!!! If you have HP then you can't get out of it unfortunately. That is a good price for the car, esp. with that turbo and forgies.
  19. Gauge is not mounted to fuel pump, from memory on a 33 the wire for the gauge run off to the passenger side of the tank, you have to push them aside when you reinstall your pump.
  20. Never noticed, had it in my head he had a 33, sorry, yeah, so entry via the boot and under the rear parcel tray.
  21. Sssoooo depressed, poor, underachiever, hate, frustration, outpourings of jealousy, my life sucks, I'm going to take it out on the cat...............
  22. You can get your pump checked for pressure, most mechanics can do it costs say $20. They just hook up in the engine bay and take a reading.
