  1. What are you, 16 years old? Do yourself and ourselves a favour and stick to your VL. Imports already have enough of a bad reputation
  2. Just met Dion on the tourist road, had a bit of a chat and drive. See you around mate
  3. Pettet is an ace cop, been done twice by him on legitimate problems. I would rather be pulled over by Pettet rather than an officer i don't know.
  4. I know what you are saying but i disagree. The point is putting a stop to people misbehaving on the roads (Regardless of industrial areas or not). Let's hypothetically imagine that the commodore driver that killed the kid was caught 1 month prior 'drifting' in an industrial area. It is quite possible that being caught in that situation may have adjusted his behaviour enough to stop him from being silly on the streets. Similarly by setting a precedent that all silly behaviour is unacceptable, people are less likely to offend. As the old saying goes 'Once bitten, twice shy' That's my thought anyway
  5. Confucious say: Man who buy import will feel long dick of law!
  6. Thanks Graeme, appreciate the response. I would hate to imagine what you have to deal with on a daily basis. My brother is a SAPOL recruit and has already experienced all sorts of disrespect especially from youth. Kids these days are definately different in a bad bad way.
  7. 80kph can you confirm if police take a driver's previous history into account when issuing defects? Are you more likely to be lenient if a driver has a clean record and vice versa?
  8. Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately there are too many stupid drivers that give our cars a bad name. The two times i have been pulled over, i showed respect had a chat with the officer and was dealt with in an exceptional manner. Bottom line - Legal car, don't be stupid on the road, show respect and you will be fine. Thank you 80kph for explaining your thought process
  9. Does his situation remind anyone of the 1997 movie "runaway car" After visiting the mechanic, the car mysteriously and intermittently goes full throttle. To cut a long story short the movie is similar to speed. Some epic moments too including a guys bright idea to crawl out of the car and remove spark plugs! Highly entertaining (Alcohol recommended whilst viewing) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120041/
  10. Lol yer watching a mate play. Didn't see you. Saw someone in a white GTT at exiting Stud park as i was entering. Gave you the obligatory thumbs up and wave, you did so back. I love the skyline community :-)
  11. A little part of me would die if i saw an NA skyline with one of these bad boys. Please don't ruin our reputation. Ricer mods belong on shit cars, not skylines. I guarantee that 95% of people will laugh at you if you go ahead with this. I fail to understand why you believe a turbocharged car is un-necessary. I love my car to bits and jumping back into an NA car just isn't the same. It's so much nicer to have a car with decent mid-range, 90% of my driving is between 2-3k rpm.
  12. Gotta love brainless commodore drivers :-) Plenty of skylines at the RE Customs dyno night tonight. Very impressed by the 260rwkw Sleeper R31 wagon
  13. I'm keen to test some yellow jackets on my GT-T. Are you still looking for testers? PM me if you are interested I have recent dyno results on factory coils which i could compare with your product
  14. No i believe it stands for: "Reduce All Import Drivers"
  15. Lol, was your 34 parked at maccas? I didn't see it :-(
  16. Did anyone see Adam Pettett in the knox paper today? They are testing a 'Stalker' radar system on knox tmu cars. The radar is mounted on the side of the car and can report speeds of cars in front of the police vehicle. Pretty cool stuff.
  17. That's awesome! $750 is a steal for everything + initial tune.
  18. Just looking through the forums and it seems a few people with autos have installed nistune with a high degree of success. I would make 100% that it is safe, you don't want to put unnecessary load on your auto. The fact that you have a bigger turbo and are planning on a few mods suggests that the nistune option is a winner provided you won't have issues with your auto
  19. Not sure how nistune copes with autos (Someone please confirm) Definately takes the power fc out of the question As i said: -If you plan on keeping your car relatively stock (Boost, exhaust, intake) the SAFC is good cheap upgrade -If you are chasing more performance (Upgrade turbo, etc.) Then the nistune will give you the best gains and future flexibility
  20. A manual transmission has no electronic control. AT have there own independant system. Power FC's are designed for manual transmission cars as there is a bit of trickery involved with the way an AT cars ecu behaves during shifts The Power FC is a drop in replacement and retains factory functionality. As other people have mentioned- nistune is a good way to go. Cheaper than power FC and uses the standard ECU with a p1ggyback board (Programmable EEPROM) to change fuel maps and ignition timing. Beware that when you start considering something like nistune or power fc, tuning is expensive ~$600+ If you plan on keeping your neo relatively stock ~190rwkw go the SAFC, otherwise nistune it
  21. No Power FC replaces the factory ecu. If you don't plan on upgrading your turbo or other significant modifications, the SAFC will suit you fine. Tuning is cheap too.
  22. The guy may have had a point. I mean lets compare a commodore to a skyline: -Skylines are way too common compared to commodores -A commodore is a sports car -Commodores look better -Commodores handle better -Commodores are faster -Commodores are built better Yes i am being sarcastic!
  23. All i know is both times i have been pulled over i was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Guess a bunch of imports is too much to handle
  24. So many skylines in one place! TMU wet dream!
