guys, I own a new XR6Turbo and all I can say is WOW. Ford detuned the T because they made a lot more power than the XR8, but to avoid loosing sales, they detuned the T to 240kw. The new series 2 is rumored to be around 260kw. There are several stock cars pulling 215RWKW on shoot6 dynos. The have also not cracked the ECU in these cars yet, as soon as this happens we will be able to move the redline above 5800rpm as this is the biggest limit these cars have. This will then allow people to do a lot more with these engines. To compare these engines with a RB26 is not right. The RB26 is I believe the best motor ever built, the Barra 240T is a goos engine with a hell of a lot of potential. Did you guys see the Torque figures people are getting with mods ? APS Phase 2 engines are 650nm and 330fwkw :wassup: I will be getting the APS phase 2 kit in the next 6 months and this will give me a 12 second car. The cost is $7600 for this upgrade and it gives you fuelpump, injectors, ecu, exhaust, valve springs and intercooler. I am not doing these mods for drag racing, but for Dutton rally next year. I am also doing a Whiteline full kit. This will make the slug handle. Its just a pitty the car weighs over 1700kg

Guys, On the Fordxr6turbo forum they arranged a run between the LS1's(holden v8) and the XR6turbo crews as WSID last weekend. There was an option for a private staging lane for a group booking. This may be a good way to see the level of commitment we have. The only catch is you must prepay ($45) for each person in the group. I can get a few people from XR6 as they seem to prefer this form of racing. I would also like to give it a so as I have never run the 1/4 on the track. As I have not run the 1/4 before, so I do not know what a private staging lane is, but it sounded better than the normal way. Thoughts ?

People, I have been working hard on sorting out the video from the Fatz driftday 2 (1/5)and Wakefield Carlo day (17/5). As there is so much footage of the Driftday (nearly 2hrs) and not much from Wakefield (36mins) I thought I would do a combined disk with both events. I have not done much editing and have not done any music, they are raw driving, I just cut out all the bad footage and crap, so do not expect a professional production. I am happy for people to rework the video if they want, I just do not have time and I know you all want to see it. I will only be doing DVD's and the can be picked up from the dinner on Thursday at Had to Happen. I do not have the time to burn 100's of copies, nor will I be offering to post out copies to people as this can be a big pain. I am not offering this as a general release, as I would only want people who attended these 2 event to get a copy. Dan, I will send you a copy and your origional DV tape. If you know someone who is going to the dinner, put in your order. Again I am only charging $5 per copy to cover the costs. If anyone also wants a copy of Fatz Driftday 1 let me know and I will make a copy as I now have it (thanks Jeff) Put your orders in. Mal

I have ripped the drift vid to the hdd, but I have not even started to edit it. There is soooooo much footage, almost 2 hours!!! It is all good, the bridge video is awsome. I will have some time over the weekend, but I am going to adelaide next week, so I think the drifto one may be a bit longer. The wakefield one is only 36mins of footage, so it may be best combined with the drift one. I will see how i go.

i am now confirmed for the dinner as i am in adelaide on monday and tuesday.

Carlo, Can you post up the link for the Motorsport guy that took the digital pice, I can find his card. I will be working on the video on the weekend as I am too busy with Rigby training and other stuff. It will be ready for the dinner. I will put up a new thread in NSW section for people who want one. The car was delayed due to the release of the Territory and the Luxury pack. Options: Lightning Strike, MANUAL, Luxury Pack, SatNav, Sports Leather, F/R Mudspats, XR Scufplates, XR Mats, Boot liner, Pollen filter, dark tint & Tow Pack. It is a beast :wassup: It was funny I ran into Tosh and Richard at the servo in Richards new MR2. Small world:cheers:

Guys, I am a possible maybe as I could be in Adelaide. I pick up the car tomorrow.:wassup: I have been to Hadtohappen and it is great food, Parking is fine during the week and depending where you park you can see your cars. The little road that Metropolis is on is the best for a visual on your car.

SamC, Being a member of both xr6turbo and this forum, I was a bit ashamed by the way your inital post was treated. There are some people who are very defensive, but the way your post was treated was uncalled for. Each car has its merrits and I know that if I could have found a 4 door GTR, I would own one over a xr6t anyday.:headspin: Ford has done a great job with this car giving us a aussie straight 6 turbo. I also know that you people respect this car and will not give me grief when I come out on criuzes or Driftdays.. ..If Ford ever deliver the f...ing thing...10 weeks wait so far, be quicker getting RAWS and importing a R34 GTR:spcartman

nah, The dealer has promised delivery tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath. I will let you know. The dealer did not have the car when I went there on saturday, and mate at ford said they have not even built the car yet. I am not happy with this dealer:Bang:
