  1. I agree with Chris, having replaced both I think $90p/h for a qualified person to do it is fair. Someone experienced with this car should take much less than an hour per door. Example of this is the Video I linked above, length 20m:10s
  2. http://infinitihelp.com/diy/gcoupe/projects/infiniti_g35_window_motor_replacement_procedure.htm this is a good instructional vid on window motor removal. As for cleaning I wouldn't bother given the poor success rate. I replaced and reset both window motors on the weekend
  3. Is that a grammatical error Chris? Honestly everyone here bar one person gets it !!!! Some people just can't take good advice.
  4. The chances of finding JDM projectors is slim and they're expensive, so RHD specific retrofit parts are the next best option. Having said that, I wouldn't have purchased USDM lights in the first place as we've already stated they are not suitable. In the case of claiming in an accident, the Insurance company will try to get out of a claim any legal way they can. You're car will be thoroughly investigated for any unspecified modifications & customising to use as an excuse not to pay out. Here Awais, do some homework on how to retrofit the projectors. You might go that step further and look at a Quad setup. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to separate fact from fiction http://g35driver.com/forums/lighting-177/ - lighting secion http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/ - HID forums http://store.theretrofitsource.com/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=153&osCsid=e4f32fb9dec0508940f6a2d5685f3015 - parts supplier http://www.auto-electronic.net/INFINITI-FX35-Bi-xenon-Projectors.htm - another parts supplier Blanket statement which is not entirely correct, any modification to your headlights not meeting ADR or NCOP can still result in a defect notice. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/vehicle_regulation/bulletin/vsb_ncop.aspx Genuine Nissan USA still doesn't make them original AU fitment when you're talking LHD v's RHD headlights. Yes you can adjust the projectors left/right & up/down to a minimal degree, but how do you "twist" the projector so the beam cutoff is angled the correct way?. If it was so do-able as you say then all LHD & RHD cars models would share the same projector unit.
  5. You can get a 3M protector film which would be less expensive & less maintenance
  6. sorry Iain, I need glasses
  7. http://www.meguiarsd...tail/MEG+G12310 This has been discussed before but thought I'd give it another plug. This stuff is the shizznit. It really works and converted my cloudy dull lenses to new. Sorry didn't take before and after pics. p.s. mask the bodywork around the lense, it states on the bottle to avoid contact with paintwork
  8. Exactly, Thanks Lain. Yes Awais, you may think you can adjust out the camber on the beam but even if you could you will not get correct aim and you will be rendering your headlights useless. You should research the mechanics of the projector lights before you make comment, it makes you look noob . Besides, why risk voiding insurance. If you have a serious accident your insurance WILL NOT honour a claim if any parts on your car do not meet ADR. It will not matter if that part had absolutely nothing to do with the accident.
  9. The projectors themselves are different for left & right hand drives. The housing does not change. Inside the projector unit is a "cutoff" plate which controls high/low beam. This plate is angled in a way to bias the light beam away from oncoming traffic. No adjusting of the US projectors is going to prevent glare and using US spec headlights will void insurance and likely earn you a defect notice. As for colour, you look like you have a Black on black scheme goin on. I'd go black bezel with chrome shrouds on the projectors.
  10. I'd like top run mine on E85 if it was as easily obtainable over here as it is over east (and as cheap). Chris do our Jap cars have teflon fuel lines standard?
  11. Interested in interior door trim left & right? PM me a cost if you have them.
  12. I wish the same could be said for the 35. I see the idiots comin from waaaaay back in traffic (not always commodores). They're bustin' it to catch me up and either "have a go" or pull in front of me when there was a 4 car length space behind me. Everyone needs to get in front of the skyline FFS !!!!!! end rant/
  13. reported over here usually means it's Stolen hence the referance. For a car like that to be abandoned after a crash it can be one of only two things, stolen and abandoned or the owner was over the limit and has done a runner.
  14. Useless fact but it's also one of the desert run cars in the 2009 Fast & Furious.
  15. Like this Vic: http://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspens...-wallpaper.html
  16. I just picked up 2 BNIB OEM motors for $90ea ex USA. As Chris said, You'll be pulling them out again in a few months, this has been proven on G35 Driver. Might as well buy new and save the agro.
  17. swap for what, Stock Brembo?
  18. used your link to visit the fabcar website Vic. 18 months ago he would have easily been the most expensive dealer in Oz. Good to see he's pulled his head in and is selling vehicles at prices reletive to the market.
  19. as for who to do it, I have no idea. You'd have to ring around but as mentioned before try alliance rim repairs in malaga, they may point you in the right direction. check out this thread for some examples of all types: http://board.accordtuner.com/showthread.ph...l-Finish-Thread
  20. Why not get them anodized pink. Then they'll look silky smoooooooth
  21. nice work
  22. yeah mx5 club had one pan, we had the other. Case of head office not passing down the booking to the venue and therefore no instructors on site for the event. It was sorted by Paul and by the time briefing was finished two instructors had arrived.
  23. yup started off on the wrong foot but turned out a gr8 day in the end. Thanks to Paul & co for organising this one.
