  1. Golf wins it for me out of those 3. Also the best DSG gearbox on the market and the only small car I'd get in an auto.
  2. Sorry to be OT but who is your insurer Cobey? Shannons wouldn't insure mine for anywhere near replacement value.
  3. Good in theory, unfortunately doesn't work in practice unless the inside of the cover/lense is as flat as the outside. Spray tint tends to collect in the valleys of the lenses making the coat darker in spots and giving an uneven finish. Spray tint on the outside with a good 2 pak clear to make it glossy FTW.
  4. Yeah, although he was bagging the 350z I think. Like you I didn't agree with him either. 12 of us all family on 6 week hols in Europe. Nearly over now tho, will be home by Friday. I really wish I had the V over here tho. Soooo many nice "drivers" roads over here particularly on the Italian coastline. You just can't appreciate how nice in a gutless Ford Mondeo Diesel. Beggers can't be choosers LOL
  5. You can also try Alberts Cannington. They have done a few skylines including mine and are forum sponsors on MEA (Mobile Electronics Aus).
  6. Spotted a Silver V35 coupe on the M35 heading toward Gatwick Airport. This is the ONLY 35 I have seen here in the UK after doing over 2000 miles on the road thru UK Wales & Ireland.
  7. Car bra's must be available as i've seen a couple of 35's with them. As to where to get them i'm not sure, maybe easier to get ex USA.
  8. Hire/Borrow/buy a car-bra or stay a loooooong way back from road trains
  9. I saw someone on here or on G35driver with 10" rims all round, not sure if they had Brembo tho. Have you searched the V series Gallery? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/233300-v-series-gallery/page__st__600 ..................post 618 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/233300-v-series-gallery/page__st__480...................post 487 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/233300-v-series-gallery/page__st__480...................post 498
  10. talk about taken out of context, read my post again before you start labeling. That was constructive advice, if you can't take it you don't belong on a forum, period.
  11. LOL that's not an indication of quality. If you'd compared them to a $900-$1500 set of speakers then you'd have reason to claim they are good. I've seen and removed the factroy speakers and I don't rate them highly, but to most who really don't care that much about quality audio OR who have not actually experienced a really good sound system then the stock speakers may be quite adequate. Some of the more frugal Doof Doof crowd fit into this catagory as well, more emphasis on bass and less need for quality up front means the factory speakers may be fine.
  12. Depends on how serious you are about your sound, It won't sound anything like the systems in your previous vehicles. You could keep the head unit so it looks factory but if you did I would consider an aftermarket processor like the Audison bit1/Rockford 3sixty/Alpine PXA-H800/JBL-MS8 to get a clean signal to your amp/amps if you go down that path. Do some research on Mobile Electronics Australia, You'll get plenty of local advice on car audio. Alternatively have a look on DIYMA in the US where there are plenty of instals in the G35
  13. I DIY as I have a mate who has a workshop and hoist. If you don't want to DIY, Search for Kermit on these forums. He has a workshop in Welshpool and he specialises in stainless and custom fab.
  14. quote me correctly and the context makes more sense: Notice I refered to the performance as a "possible" gain. The last quote is therefore stating the single systems can't compare for sound as referenced first in the statement. It may have been clearer if I'd put the bracket before "possibly". So I stand by my post, The dual systems I refered to above to me sound better (deeper) than a single system. It would be worth noting that the true dual systems from Fast Intentions, Motordyne and Stillen have a crossover section, as Scathing mentioned, which technically does not make them true dual like the HKS, Injen & Invidia. The manufactureres still call then True dual tho Wiki is in on the act: http://www.350z-tech...tems_(True_Dual)
  15. Another thing that most people don't consider when choosing...............CLEANING THEM. If you don't want to spend 3hrs just cleaning your wheels avoid multi-spoke wheels with lots of recesses and hard to get to areas where brake dust & grime is difficult to get out.
  16. Work wheels full stop, Light weight and excellent quality.
  17. Ahhh forgot about the Motordyne. What an awesome sound. Note to OP, there is absolutely no beating the sound and possibly performance (albeit minimal) of a true dual system. The Y pipe single systems just can't compare.
  18. This is subjective, personal taste will come into play with just about every answer BUT I've listened to many sound clips and can tell you there are two typical sounds. Jap & Euro. Just about every system out of Japan is going to sound ricer with few exceptions (HKS is one) The best system I have ever heard is the Fast Intentions http://www.fastintentions.com/index.php?cPath=41_50&osCsid=b6e574850bb3411c5fe6f04c1639c5f3 This is one system that will get you closer to that Euro sports sound, deep and grunty without all the drone & rasp.
  19. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/349367-cloudy-headlight-lenses/page__p__5613035#entry5613035 This has been covered
  20. If you had gone to these guys http://www.blackcatcustom.ca/custom%20design.htm You could have deleted the MPH altogether. Other than that obvious detail, they look pretty good
  21. yeah you can: www.performanceplustire.com
  22. yeah you can: http://www.performanceplustire.com/
  23. If you're going to turn it into a track car then by all means go all out with true coilovers on the rear. For engineering of the mounting points I suggest researching G35 Driver as well as googling but yes it involves welding. For quality shocks from the USA http://performanceshock.com/service-repairs-rebuilds/koni-drag-race-shock-repairs-and-rebuilds Also have a chat to Sydneykid on these forums, he is very knowledgeable with suspension requirements & setup.
