  1. ya should get t01-100's ap racing calipers http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=185497 there ken huge.
  2. done and done.
  3. It'd be good to meet some skyliners from the mainland , I'd be up for the tracks days Make sure you drive Cethana, and the Sidling. They are 2 must drive roads down here. Also make sure your brakes are in good service, Symmonds is the hardest track in Aus on brakes (according to the V8 Supercars).
  4. haha just wanted to know out of interest. One of the guys in the Tas Super Series with a 350rwkw gts-t has double adjustible sweedish ohlins, and i wondered if they were the same. But I think his are the same as giants, cause he said they were "upsidedown", i can see what he means comparing the 2 diferent shocks.
  5. Are they Japanise or Sweedish Ohlins?
  6. seems good if you already have a compatible nokia, but if you have to go out and buy one, wouldn't you be better spending a little extra and getting a performance box? (drift box without drift angles)
  7. what gear you in at the end of the straight guesty? your assalting that rev limiter for a long time
  8. remember to represent here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...p;#entry3352562 we need to have more than 2 people on the Symmonds list
  9. Well it looks like i'll be getting this for my gtr later this week. Can't wait to have a good diff
  10. Better tyres (Dunlop D02 Semi's), bigger balls/stupidity under brakes. I got down to a 1:01.64 today, I'll be interested to see what I can do when i have the diff repaired.
  11. well i have learnt that my diff is fubar. I spent all day painting black number 1's everywhere. But I did improve my time down to a 1:01.64 only 1 tenth behind dad in the Targa car. If I thought we were going to get that many runs I would have brought more fuel. Guesty's missus told me he got into the 1:06's, so well done to him.
  12. Well i changed my diff oil. Did SFA . I could count the amout of laps i did, cause i layed a black stripe every lap from the hairpin. One thing I did find though was that if I took the first corner in 3rd instead of 2nd I was quicker, cause for some reason the AWD kicked in realy fast and pulled me through the corner with next to no wheelspin, but 3rd isn't ideal for the first corner at all. It seems to me that ATTESSA dosn't like help at quite high rpm (~7000+), but is very eager to help you in the low to mid-range. Looks like i'll be getting a Nismo clutch pack thing (from the driveline forum), and rebuilding the diff.
  13. looks like there could be liquid horsepower on the weekend
  14. From what i understand from those stores it that McLaren have had all their constructers points stripped, but the drivers keep their points, and can continue to get points.
  15. file extention exe says no. just waiting for it to download
  16. Reason for the bigger master cylinder is that after the new calipars the pedal is too long, it's alright round town, but on the track where you get the added joy of knock off, you constantly have the tap the pedal at the end of straights to make sure you have brakes, and to get the pad's as close the rotors as possible.
  17. yep the dz semi's. The semi's made a huge diference to the braking, still pitches, but as it's got grip now so it dosn't squrm round everywhere under braking. And according to the flag marshal at the Symmonds hairpin i was the latest on the brakes all day, so the pitching can't be hurting it too much. The porka brakes are awsome, no fade after a session (5L, sessions are about 45 mins and less apart) and the rotors are bright blue when i get back to the pits. I still need a bigger master cylinder, currently tossing up between a 1" R33 one, and a 1&1/16" Partrol one.
  18. last track day i stopped trying to feather the throttle and just planted it. and i found that when i do that i get revs rising going no where, then i see the tourqe gauge move, revs drop, and off you go. But by the time the R32 ecu pick's up wheel-spin, and decides to transfur the tourqe i've lost a fair wack of time (well it seems like it when a similar car is screaming away from you). So i'm thinking the trasfure case might be alright, had crossed my mind though. Just seems odd that out of right handers the car is awsome. I assume the diff oil was changed at import time (10,000k ago), but i'm gunna see if i can get some oil and change it before the track day this sunday. BB: the 2wd idea had crossed my mind aswell, might try it this weekend.
  19. Thanks for that, thought it was the diff. The suspention forum seems to get more responses than the drivetrain one haha just noticed that there is a nice single from the left rear on the top pic. looks like more money to spend
  20. any idea when the resauls are going to be put up from that last one?
  21. My problem is that when I put my foot down on left hand corners i just get wheel spin, the car dosn't go sidways, i can just hear wheel spin, and the car dosn't power out of the corner very well at all, i've follewed similar powered GT-R's round the track, and I get slaughtered out of left handers, and the car tends to understeer as i can get the back to come round under power. But out of right handers I get awsome power down, and the car will go sideways if I want. I suspect my diff might need some attention, but i'm also wondering how much some proper suspention will fix it. The shocks on my car are some Tenebe stuff (came with it), and some slightly firmer springs (sk calc'd F: ~3.2kg, R: ~2.5), I'm looking at the SK kit with the coil over conversion +bigger spings (from djr's thread), just don't have the $$ at the mom . tyres are Dunlop D02's. I just want to know how to fix it, weather it's the diff, suspetion, or somthing else. Here's some pics of me vs R33 with identicle power and screw type HA Bilsteins (i think they are firmer than the SK ones) coming out the hairpin at Symmonds Plains. and me on the sweeper leading to the start/finish at Symmonds. thanks
  22. there are a few Nismo's in Aus, they made 500 for Group-A homoligation. But as far as i've read it a great unknown whats in them, they have a bigger turbos, but after that non of the info is consistant.
  23. how bad does it lock up? R32 ABS is very dosile, it takes a while (relitivly) to kick in.
  24. If the FIA do find McLaren guilty, I hope they only get a fine. As a fan of the sport (and Ferrari for that matter), i don't want to see a top team denied the right to race. At times i wonder if the FIA even like motorsport, they tried to bugger up WRC, and they constantly change F1.
  25. I got that work stuff
