  1. i've got my entry in for 2012, about to put my engine in and start testing the car. After this year, we know that we need more than two weeks between completing the car and the event. What rear ends did FB's have from the factory?
  2. The GT-R loved shooting flames on every gear change and lift. You can fit alot of fuel out of 100mm lol. I'd like to think Ben got his good time just to pass me
  3. Should run twin td05's Roy. Seems sit was all the rage back in the day
  4. either way i'm sure it will be cool
  5. Just looking at the high country entry list. Seems YT has converted his car back to the super duper spigetti version
  6. Maybee he could borrow the rear steer of those groub rx7's to turn his understeer of fail into oversteer of win
  7. don't encorage him Stu
  8. ok then.... i recomend a hr31, they are really cool. i feel dirty now
  9. run a DR30 and redesign the rear. would be a good thing till broadbent got a sandy v. do you think a 400r needs more power? Pretty sure ayres think would be over 700hp
  10. 102 Ron elf vs 110+ Ron e85. I would have thought they'd stay e85. But I'll take your can of coke bet (high stakes here)
  11. Looks like benson wanted to make his rental more compdeditive I thought the 102 would be for the na cars that don't get a power gain from e85 (lambos), I recon the rx8 will still run e85, and still be unreliable
  12. So twin turbo guys can run an awsome turbo, but single turbo guys have to stick with a shitty highflow. That's a bit gay
  13. Keyte has has his GT-R and Evo on and off my105 for 3-4 years now. I see the simpson BMW that had the big hit on Mt Black is up for sale did your old evo have problems during Targa west blaise? I thought I saw it stopped on the side of the road in the doco
  14. where is the web adderss?
  15. Getting the correct tyre pressure, and alignment can have a huge effect on tyre life. The D03's should be run at 30psi hot, when you get to 32+ you will start chewing the centres out of them. M's are too soft for a GT-R, as Woo said, you should run R's. Were your tyes wearing evenly?
  16. I remeber Kermit landing on Ray Larges coona. Didn't do any damage at all, was pulled off and completed the rest of the event.
  17. Kimi wants a full payed drive in WRC, I think he'll be back to F1 soon.
  18. plenty of people to help you out roy, and lack of tallent has never stopped anyone before.
  19. Brad Sherriff did the work on Coopers Torana, I don't know if that was who Benson was talking about. I'm still toying with how to make a good DR30, but the rear end will cost too much to be as good as my R32. The rest of the car could be cobled together from newer nissans. The R32 is still a cheap classic car...if they didn't get kicked out. I wasn't quick in mine, but I still would have finished in 4th Classic
  20. I've had a good look over (and under) Coopers Torana. I can see why they keep the changes under wraps, as they pay a fortune to get it designed, they arn't keen to hand it over for free. Basicly the suspension has to keep it's type (live axel, semi trailing, strut, double wishbone...etc), and then you go crazy. Most live axel rears are copies of V8 supercar rear ends, with quick roll centre adjusters, pickup points moved well forward and up, watts linkage..etc. You can imagine what they do to wishpone front ends to fix bump steer and dynamic camber. I'd hate to think what the Porsche guys do to their semi trailing arms. Without visiting a suspention guru, I doubt you'll find much help from other compeditors.
  21. They key is getting the old suspension geomitys up to standard. the front running classics would have suspention setups far surperior to 90% of the modern cars. Thats where all the money goes, paying boffins to calculate pickup points, roll centers....etc. only the 911's run huge wheels, and a lot of them struggle with aquiplaing in the wet. I'd love to see some more z's though, siddens is the only one having a real crack in one
  22. Also weeks might not be the most popular guy, but he can still steer
  23. You can only run abs if it was a factory option now. Most of the classic cars run with it 'turned off'. No Datto has come close to the vw ever since classic stopped using handicap for outright. And unless someone unloads 250000+ on one they won't. The Torana of coopers is the closest thing to them at the moment, and it's pretty much a v8 super car, but with more carbon fibre
  24. Any details on what happened to the just jap car? Rallyfast said it blew a engine at the end of the last stage
  25. There is only 62 cars! Would have been worth going over just to get a trophy
