  1. Got the intercooler piping ready to weld today. Took ages to file all the joins so there wasn't any gaps... welder says it makes his life much easier. I got a surge tank during the week too
  2. Have you rung Hollinger? If you have a box, you are ment to be able to ring them and give them it's serial, and they will tell you everything about it.
  3. I've got a Hella isolation switch in the car, and i just use a pull cord for external access. I've also used a Soleniod with a switch on the outside, but the soleniod needs power to keep the power going to the car. So If you leave it parked without turning the switch off, you'll have a flat battery in a couple of days.
  4. I made the turbo side piping today. it's almost ready to weld up, but the pipe that damo supplied wasn't long enough...apparently this is a normal occerence. Another 50mm or so of pipe should fix it. Got some sensors for the Haltech (oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, exhaust temp) Air box MKII with one of two filters in. pretty much a copy of the GMS one. Need to get some alloy and make it now, and then design the top 1/2.
  5. actully it's better than mine, i just got 0km/40l when i emptied my tank. The fuel was so stale it wouldn't run a lawnmower
  6. Don't be a hater just cause you don't have a 20 . Go to the tip, hand over $500, add 20psi, and you have an engine that lasts forever
  7. pics or she doesn't exsist
  8. you can run a 80mm exhaust in targa, your allowed 15% oversized, and std GT-R is 70mm I think you can still buy a complete 400r engine from the company that made them (reitec or somthing)
  9. how does it handle spare wheels? eg i've got 6 wheels that will be rotated over a event, and at times i might have a spare in the boot
  10. depends on the rev's, and what the pump's optimum speed is. I know N1 water pums are good a high rpm, but can over heat in town cause they don't flow enough at that engine speed.
  11. Top Gear top tip, don't fit lexan. Nissan glass is already light, a local car paid big $$ to replace his glass with lexan...only to find the lexan was heavier.
  12. Ric know's how to build them, and with his mullet powers he can race them too
  13. yeah that's the one. From what i know Power Plus - 85% CSR Ethonal, 15% Power Plus 98 - $2.30l in tassie Cheetah ? Elf - ? Fuel Control Australia - official CSR E85 (now Sucrogen) - $2.50l +postage to tassie
  14. i hear the SB spec is really good on fuel
  15. Gtst is a much better choice than a S car, doesn't bend like a banana, and is doesn't have a SR20 to fly to peices.
  16. The way I read the rules it's any E85, as long as the 85% of ethonal is from CSR. "CSR Ethonal blend" is the wording from memory. I'm hoping that's right, cause the Powermax is cheaper than the CSR (now Sucrogen), and uses CSR ethonal
  17. I can think of 30,000 a end reasons why no one ones them
  18. Is this Ric's Targa car? http://my105.com/classified.asp?id=16268
  19. Is that the one that ended up on it's side in the trees?
  20. according to one of the previos owners it's full of some good gear... dog box etc
  21. buy this instead http://my105.com/classified.asp?id=6723 word around Tassie is that he'll let it go closer to $40,000
  22. pulling them appart is too easy, almost as easy as loosing most of the bolts to put it back together
  23. Now got job security, so it's back into the car. I've ordered my air filters for the airbox (2x Merc 600SL), and a 044 to pump E85 goodness around. Damo wired in the ABS this weekend I got 3/4 of a alloy donut and started my intercooler piping on the It's almost ready to weld, I didn't take pics of the last section, but it just needs the ends tidied up, then off to the welder. Also got the seat mounted
  24. Can't you just draw up a dyno graph, and sell the manifatuer that's what you want?
  25. vetool under investigation I though you weren't allowed to drop back like that
