  1. I think carbon is another 10kg lighter again.
  2. i have series 1 and series 2 doors in my posetion. And there is 10kg difference.
  3. I don't think cams are real fussy, when dad ran the invertationals, they made him cover the parsel shelf with cardboard (yer cause that shit an't flamimble). As far as i was told, it doesn't have to be 'sealed' just more if somthing goes bang it doesn';t have a direct path to hit you.
  4. now that was just mean...but the stats are there
  5. hmmm that's gay about the rookie winner. I definatly see it as Giant being scared, he fears the rb20 powah
  6. what big prize has gone? 32
  7. Well after a week or two i've got shitty, and am probably going to enter rookie rally. There are wispers of a sponser about, let the late nights on the car commence!
  8. i saw that in a option mag. from the little bit of english it runs a 1:01.xx, and is a RB20 with a 25 turbo. But I couldn't read a weight. From the pics it's been extensivly stripped and speed holed, and those bolt in jap cages are light as.
  9. how much does it weigh?
  10. what brand/model?
  11. not all of us can run dirty truck turbo's Ben: the series 1 doors are 10kg lighter each, i just got some for my car.
  12. did you have to modify things to fit the mca's? looks like Garwood might not be back to defend his wrest point crown at this point in time.
  13. or a spud plow off the back...boom boom
  14. ahhhh, i read in other places you said it was 1280kg, and i assumed 1280kg curb. i think keeping the fan and heaterbox is worth it for rallys, when your in the car for ages, and driving with the windows down can make the notes fly around.
  15. cams rally rules are gay. aasa you can run a hi flow.
  16. if you want good brakes for small brakes, ex wrc or indycar brakes are the go.
  17. 17x8 +28. the size restricted by the cadegory. it should sound awsome. Just thinking what the good engine will sound like at 9000+ if i can be bothered building it. the r33 is a far surperior car, and would be a good tarmac rally car if it was developed.
  18. I'm going of Benny Woosters numbers, he got his down to 1280 kg, with gtr kit, and pretty resnobale amount of weight savings, but his cage isn't hugly extensive. Short of carbon, titanium, and cro-mo cage, it won't be any lighter. you can't look at a group a car for weight numbers. Fristly they had a pretty basic cage compard to todays standards, and things like most of the suspention being custom milled from alloy, and use of lightweight materails everywhere. if you want to race for long stages/runs you have to add weight in to make it reliable, bigger radiator, oil cooler, bigger brakes.
  19. I didn't take any pics, but the muffler is 90mm through the guts
  20. Brad at Boost Automotive in Launceston tunes my GT-R, and out R33 Targa GT-R. I'm happy with the results, he's a Haltech dealer, but tunes everything. He's done a few Power FC's, and a Haltech for us.
  21. I'm not very impressed with trust exhausts's, we lost 30rwkw with a 80mm trust peII on the Targa car. Our tuner says it's got restrictive mufflers. i'll get some pics of the inside of mine tonight. Pretty sure mine is a custom build job, i got it's 2nd hand cheap ($880 delivered)
  22. it's only 10mm, making the adaptor out of 10mm plate alloy. Also the uuber expensive blitz one takes the injector 25mm out from the head, and from all accounts that was a good bit of gear.
  23. often diferent clubs have diferent rules about passing. For example my club only lets you pass on the right side, on a straight.
  24. it's no secret. I'm making an adapter plate up, but the plate is the easy bit, we learn't on damos, that you also need to modify the coolent bar that runs under the throttles, and the thermost housing. Not the end of the world though. Oh, it won't save much weight if any, the 26 setup is heavy as f**k. I'm pretty much doing it just cause i can, to get rid of a heap of piping, and side entry plenums are waaaay to expensive.
