  1. Awesome pics Rob. Cheers Steve.
  2. I was only at uni for 15 minutes thats why I parked so close. Oh well at least you havent gained on me
  3. If no one else owns up then yes it was me btw, ODE has been in Java for the last 2 years
  4. Primary use is a daily driver. My car will see everyday roads far more than any drag strip or track. However, I enjoy going to the drags so I want the rears to be as grippy as possible off the line. I plan to go on a few track days in the future so I suppose a spring rate that handles really well yet is comfortable enough to absorb minor pot holes, and not bounce over speed humps etc.
  5. AI was a piece of piss. MAL is a dirty, dirty 2c smack whore. God I hated MAL! ODE is pretty easy. All you have to remember is that its not a programming subject, its a software development subject. When doing the assignment, heaps of people put together some awesome programs but still failed coz they left out the design side. Designing software on paper is easy coz its really just a measure of common sense.
  6. I put the HA's on yesterday and I must say that I'm impressed. I have the car at a legal height, with the damper set 4 clicks from squishy, and she handles great. Traction off the line has not really been affected, which isnt a bad thing considering how much harder the springs are. SK you were spot on about the "pogo stick" effect on the super squishy setting so I'm definately going to get some softer springs. 200lbs for the rears and what do you recommend for the front?
  7. Simply not enough money for a good one. If you dont mind dirty carpet, scratched paint and a wound back odometer then you might be in the ball park.
  8. halz, I dunno if its a 3rd or 2nd year subject but you could look into CSEX2COM. No exam and really easy. They teach you how to shake hands
  9. Nursing/behavioural science is always full of chicks or basically any subject that is held in the George Singer Building. A mate last semester was in the same situation and did some arts subject (I'll find out the code) that required 1 2hr lecture and 1 2000 word essay. Also, the penalty for handing in late is 2% per day!! You could hand it in almost a month late and still pass... Its just not right... No wonder an Arts degree will only qualify people for the dole.
  10. Steve, When are the dyno sheets going to be sent?
  11. If you hear a "ssshhhh" sound when you undo the cap then it is fine. If you dont hear anything I would suspect a dodgy cap. A more obvious way to tell (only if its really stuffed) is to stand next to the fuel cap while the car is idling and detect the scent of petrol with your shnoz.
  12. This just proves that his post was a waste of time
  13. Might wanna also check your fuel cap. Mine started leaking and I lost 50km per tank thru evaporation. At least its simple to fix.
  14. Cheers SK Can you recommend any springs that will fit and are around 200lbs? Do whiteline make any?
  15. Yeah, I was kinda thinking the same myself. I dug up these settings: The only thing that’s troubling me now is the spring rate. I'm sure these spings are higher than 200lbs. The Tein website states that the damper rate can be adjusted from "stock" to "N1 race car". My next question is how does the spring rate effect the damper rates? Can a tougher spring be compensated with a softer damper rate? It seems obvious (to me) that setting the damper rate to the softer end of the scale would be the way to go?
  16. :werd: and your other pics!
  17. Hi all, I've picked me up a set of Tein HA coilovers and would like to get a few opinions on what damper and height settings I should use. I want the rears to be as grippy as possible because I enjoy going to the drag strip. All I expect from the front is to out perform the stockies in corners. Any help would be great.
  18. I have a pair of R33 GTSt front shocks. I'm in Melbourne tho.
  19. More than my posts would have you believe
  20. Dyno readings dont mean shit, as your dodgy mechanic example points out. Anyone chasing a power figure is missing the point IMO. On a Dyno Logic I recorded 153rwkw. The ONLY difference yesterday was the addition of a high flow cat and the fact it was recorded on a Dyno Dynamics. 40rwkw from a high flow cat? I dont think so. I'd like to know why a chipped ECU (believe it or not, a chip makes a fu(kin big difference) teamed with a stock turbo cannot make more than 180rwkw.
  21. Dyno readings dont mean shit. Anyone chasing a dyno figure is missing the point of a dyno.
  22. All mods are done by me in my drive way now I really havent had a need to take it anywhere else. It will go to Sam next time tho coz he owes me $50 You shouldve come down. 210 wouldve been close to 300 on this dyno :uh-huh:
  23. BMT's mustve been REALLY conservative!! Either that, or this one is optimistic. The only mod I've done since the BMT run is a high flow cat. 41rwkw from a cat? I dont think so!
  24. I had my car dynoed this morning and made 194.6rwkw. Mods are as follows: * 3" split dump/front pipe, high flow cat, 3" cat back * Bleed valve @ 13psi * Chipped stock ECU * Stock turbo * Stock coola
