Opinion noted. My choice was based on Miss 205km/h and the temptation factor rather than the raw safety value of the vehicle. I wouldnt want any loved one to be in an accident in any car. This is only half correct. In addition there must be a reason why the P plater needs to drive it, i.e. Mum and dad both work so the P plater needs the car to pick up his little sister from school coz the parents cant make it. The only time the P plater can drive it is to pick up the sis from school. Even then I doubt VR would grant it. Exactly the point I was making with my retorical questions. I'm not saying advanced driving isnt a good thing, I'm saying it wouldve had no effect on Miss 205km/h. You plead with everyone not to increase penalties when you are contributing to the very problem. The reason why the laws get tougher is because of people like you! If you were following the law you wouldve never lost your licence. If all L/P platers followed the law 100% of the time the government wouldnt need to change the laws because there wouldnt be a problem with the existing ones!

On L plates you can give em a Ferrari 550 Marenello. As long as there is a fully licenced driver supervising (preferrably the owner). If we're talking P plates I'd go the 120Y. I doubt it has a top speed quicker than 120km/h and a 1/4 mile time of less than 30 sec. If you compare that to a WRX, which is capable of 200+ and a 1/4 of 14.x, I know what I'd be giving to my loved one. I base my choice on the fact that know what P platers are like, having previously been one of them. Dont worry. One day you'll look back, understand and agree How is that going to enforce safe driving? How is that going to stop people being di(kheads? If sensible people are acting sensibly, how does a tougher penalty on a stupid person affect them?

:werd: Altho the law in here in Victoria needs some serious attention.

I've got 18x8s (offset +38) all round with 235/40/18 on the front and 255/35/18 on the rear and everything is a perfect fit. I'm actually a little annoyed that I didnt go the 265s.

Yep. Exhaust mods are a turbos best friend The extra air flow will see the boost rise by a few psi forcing your mph to go up and ET to come down. Mine is a Jasma 3" and was on the car when it arrived from Japan. I added a 3" dump/front pipe and @ 10psi ran 13.8@101 with a 2.2 60ft. Since then I have added high flow cat and chip and I'm hunting low 13s... I just need to launch it properly.

I just thought I'd share my experiences. Last year Just Cars wanted $2068 for R33 GTSt, 23yo, gararged, minimal mods, rating 3. Famous wanted $1950 for the same. At the time I went with 3rd party coz it was $350 and I couldnt find $2k. Its up for renewal so rang Just Cars and said that I've moved and added a set of 18" wheels, and she said rating 2 will be $1289. I was like WTF!!! Thats great! I then rang Famous and they said go with Just Car
