    Yah its the stock intake. You could get one from Nissan but it would be expensive. I'd be trying a few import wreckers. If you've got a pod, someone may find someone to swap it for the stock system. I've got a K&N panel filter in there and it's heaps better than a pod without heat sheilding. I know this because I used to have a K&N pod.

    You are a qualified engineer I beleive, which suggest that you have brains. If the maths are really that simple, and they seem to work logically, couldnt you just quote a physics text book and present it yourself? You could then try and explain that an "expert" is not required because they have gained and apply their knowledge based on Newton's laws which are in these books etc?

    You could try Makspeed 93185626 They made up an A piller gauge holder for me at half the price anyone else had them for. Some of the kits they had look pretty impressive.
