Wrecking 96 R33 Gtst Manual
Hanaldo replied to 4doorRB26's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey mate, Have you got the rear view mirror (not the wing mirrors lol) and sun visors? If you do, how much you want for em posted to WA?? -
I dunno about that lol, I see masses of R32's everyday gettin around my area. Very close to the same amount of 33's I see. They are all common but I still think 34's are the least common, especially coupes. Do see a fair few 34 sedans.
-
When I first got my car tuned while it still had the stock turbo my tuner tuned it to 14psi. Said it is what he runs on all standard GTT's that come through his workshop, has never had an issue with any of them. Just told me to be strict with when I service my car and make sure I keep everything healthy. I ran that for about 6-7 months before I upgraded the turbo, never had any problems. Though having looked through these forums, quite a few people have had issues over 12psi.

Is This Possible Or Has It Been Done?
Hanaldo replied to BL35ED's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeh I would swap back if I were you mate. I bought my 650cc PWR injectors second hand for $500, they plugged straight in no messing around. I do understand why you were tempted to go to side feed injectors though, plug and play injectors for R34's are either ludicrously expensive or ridiculously hard to find! I found some in the end though, I think it would be the better option... If you are comfortable using Siemens injectors then they are an easy/cheap option, my tuner just told me to stay away from them. -
Whyyy?
-
Should just get him to check man. Better to know what you are running, will get a more efficient tune and will help when you inevitably sell this one
-
Yeh I would just go with X-Speed then man. Not much point messing around with swapping ECU's and all that. Ideally I would wanna stay with Andy but if you are only getting the one tune and you are comfortable with them, X-Speed are the more logical choice. Also depending on if anyone here has anything to say about the F-Con... They could be complete rubbish *EDIT* I thought you had already booked in for a tune with X-Speed? Didn't you already get the injectors and everything installed?
-
Lol I suppose I'm thinking from the view of someone who keeps their cars for more than one tune If it is going to cost 1.5k and you only get it tuned once in the time you own it then obviously that is the best option. But if you keep it and do more modifications to it and it is going to cost 1.5k every single time... Better to pay 2.5k now and only $500 later. Assuming that the 1.5k is X-Speeds going rate for a retune.
-
Seems to be the going rate here. A few of my mates have PFC, they pay ~$500 for a tune at places like All Star Garage and Hyperdrive and they all come out very good? James my opinion remains the same... Swap back to PFC. You know and trust Andrew, he's tuned your cars before. I'd try to stay with him as a tuner. Phone him up and ask him how much it would cost to swap to a PFC and get it tuned? While you're at it, ask him if he has HIS dyno fully operational yet :P

My understanding is: Lift = How far the valve is lifted off it's seat when the cam lobe is in it's highest position. Increases power without really changing the shape of the power curve, unless you increase duration (though this usually has to happen, depending on the type of lifters used? Correct me if I am wrong). Duration = The angle that the valve stays off it's seat. So how long the valve is open. The higher the duration, the higher the rpm-range that the engine makes power. Overlap = When both the intake and exhaust valves are open. The longer the overlap, the more top-end power you make at the expense of low-end and idle quality. Timing = The degrees the valves open and close before TDC and BDC. Not 100% sure if that is all right but that is how I understood it

Standard R34 Neo Turbo, Injectors And Afm
Hanaldo replied to Hanaldo's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Still available. Looking for $65 for the injectors and $40 for the afm. Will do injectors and AFM together for $80, otherwise make me an offer for either of them. -
Nah mate, they fit straight in no problems at all. Currently running like a dream, though very lean at idle so it sounds like I have cams... Not like I'm complaining

Forged Rb 26 How Much Should I Be Able To Make Safetly ?
Hanaldo replied to danny14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Did you say anything about it to Alistair? I would talk to Alistair, see why he stopped there. If you have an exhaust restriction then it was possibly building up a lot of heat and making less power when he tried to put more into it. Or if he simply had no idea what had been done to your engine then he may have stopped for safety. That power curve doesn't look right to me, what causes that? I've seen a similar graph where it was caused by valve float, and another one where the suspected cause was a leaking wastegate. Surprised nobody has commented on it yet... -
Yesss! Or maybe.... PENDULUM!! And possibly... Art vs Science!! Fkn awesome, can't wait And who would miss the chance to throw a bottle or two at Kesha
-
Why didn't you buy ages ago, tickets have been out for so long! And they were still available last week even lol. For $150 I certainly wasn't going to miss out!
-
I bought tickets last week lol, unlucky
-
Neither did I but there you go
-
Check out www.westcoastcruisers.com.au. They usually have a few events coming up.
-
Exactly! I would love to have high performance cars revving off all day long next to me
-
Yeh that's what was going on the last time I spoke to him, looks like it's going to be awhile before he can fit me in Running only on Saturdays makes it rather busy. Might have to go see Sean... Damn neighbours with their old ears and intolerance for noise

My car isn't an auto, but I've driven auto cars before... Is this actually ever a problem? I've never had it happen to me. Surely you have a feel for what your car is doing, dropping back a gear isn't going to be a problem if you're not on WOT? If it drops back mid corner then just lift off the throttle. I dunno about you but I'm never going around corners so fast in the wet that if I dropped it back a gear I would be limiter bashing...
-
Another +1 for Andrew, top bloke and great tuner. Sean is also a great tuner though, I would take my car there if I had to. P.S, Let us know if Andrew has his dyno going yet! I've been asking him to get my car in for a retune since November so I feel like I'm annoying him

What happened to the 34/33 GTR Jason?? Gotta say I agree with all the guys here that have got better efficiency after going turbo. I used to get about 300-350kms to a full tank when my car was NA, but now I have the new engine in with 300rwhp and a shocking tune I am still getting 400-450kms a tank. Hitting boost frequently as well... It does struggle with hwy kms though, I get 450 driving around town but only about 350-380 cruising on the freeway. Damn diff ratio

Hasn't he gone to Ford??? Well last I heard he was leaving WA Suspensions anyway... Was awhile ago though In any case, I believe Matty is still at WA Susp? Either of those guys will be able to give you good advice anyway man
