  1. good to see alot of old cars here. and a few funky ones new beetles fail tho....big time
  2. so some good stuff on here.....and the usual E-peen comparison rubbish. i feel like im in a PS3 Vs Xbox thread all over again. Rotors are great at what they do, and if they were bad they wouldn't have kept them alive so long. i know a 13B will be the engine of choice for my silly little VW bug......even in standard untouched form, a hell of alot faster than any beetle motor for the money....and other than a sardine canned WRX engine..the only thing that fits
  3. lol, nice. thats pretty cheap, esp for something with a yard for a dog. Maureen and i pay 265...which i thought was good
  4. lol, sounds like it had had a hard life all good ash, clint didnt go either.
  5. yeah no worries at all. fuel light came on this morning on the way to work. and only got 58 litres into it when i filled it.....lol
  6. twas a quiet outing last night. good to meet you Joe and Melissa?...i think. im glad chris showed up, as no one else did
  7. not feeling well, but will come out anyways
  8. yeah that does suck....seriously lucky the car wasnt there. not to sound like a downer....but what is gonna happen if they are caught?? from my previous experience with criminal activity directed towards me, all they got was a slap on the wrist, $500 fine and a dont do it again......
  9. rinse repeat.
  10. how old are your 595's?? ive noticed on other peoples cars that they do stop gripping as well with time. regardless of how much tread is on them, they just seem to break down eventually. its the silica in them I've been told mine are only as few months old. and very good atm but i drive my car every day, my tires never get a change to get old and slippery.
  11. im keen for carseldine, just for the drive
  12. got everything done on the Beetle this morning, and picked up a dog kennel from Palmwoods yesterday.....(interesting drive). But i havent got to checking my rear brakes. i've never been a fan of any form of Bendix pads. they've always been dusty, noisy, or plain just dont work well. they now have the self bedding pads (not sure how long theyve been around for). ralf got a set for the front of his car. theyre not in yet so dunno how they are. i might try those Project Mu jobs then, as my car does alot of daily driving. as for rotors, yeah Bob it sucks if you need to buy em. but the new ones should def last for a while. the breaks on mine feel fantastic, so i dont think i'll need new rotors any time soon...hopefully
  13. really? its been moved to OCt 1?...Lame the VW drag racing in Warwick is on that weekend
  14. Ash- ive been waiting for months....cant even remember. but they know your a member, so you get discounts etc anyways. just gotta wait for your shirt and sticker etc. rear pads for me this weekend it seems. along with speedo cable, wiper switch and various other tid bits on Maureens Beetle. on another note....i had a blow out on the highway yesterday at 100 in one of our work cars. that was fun. *oh. and yes GT5 is alot of fun. much more so with the G27
  15. seen something like this on the iFail. still gonna jump ship to the android world next time i need a new phone.
  16. welcome another clint into the crowd?? lol then there will be 2 Ash's and 2 Clint's. not confusing at all......lol. by all means come join us some time man

  21. even the GTT isnt far off. i have a pair here that are destined for my better halfs VW. have been thinking about bolting them into my 33 (34 seats are a tad bigger), but they do require a small amount of works.
