Yepp, that's what I use.
The last time I polished the car was about 12 months ago, and it still looks great after a wash.
Hay one thing - has anyone used one of those electric buffer things that you can buy for $40-50 bucks???
Are they any good??
It would make the job sooooo much quicker.

The bad thing with short shifters is they tend to munch the syncho's and not all short shifter are actually shorter in length.
When they say short shifter, they are talking about the throw distance between gears, not the length of the shifter.
I cut down the shifter on the old Stanza (shut up, it was a cool car !!!) and it was great.
If I could wack an inch off the R33 length I'd be happy.

Matt - he has a 1995 model. I swear the 1995 ECU's have different maps. When I run mine up on a dyno I'll try the 1995 and the 1993 ECU's I have and compare.
I found a web site in Japan that quoted all the different firmware updates for the nissan ECU's, and just in the R33 GTS-t's there is about 7 different versions !!!! But they didn't say what the differences were
Rev210 - a bit off topic, but did you wrap your front/dump pipe in thermal wrap while it was still on the car, or was the pipe off when you did it??? I'm thinking about doing mine and I just hope I don't have to take the damn thing off to do it

I feel for ya Rev. It's not fun.
I had all four out under general about 14 years ago (when I was 18), and it wasn't the best.
But my worst experiance was when I had to get a tooth pulled and the tip of the root snapped off in my jaw. 3 hours of drilling later she decided to stop because she started to see my sinuses !!!
Had to see a specialist to get it fixed.
Apparently the roots of my teeth have a hook on the end of them

Straight back at him I say.
If you can find out where he lives and/or what the rego no. is on his private car then report HIM to the EPA :uh-huh: :uh-huh:
Like you said INASNT he was on a power trip that night
[ryan] - yeah they use proper 12v mini light globes
I had the same problem with mine when I got it. I found out that Dick Smith (or was that Jaycar??) sell them for about $1.20 each.
Perfect size and all :uh-huh:
One thing I couldn't find was the little blue sleeves that go over the bulbs to make them glow blue.
But a bit of lateral thinking and I used some of my girlfriends blue nail polish and gave the bulbs a quick coat
Worked a treat.

The reason why there are deep and shallow centre consoles is because of the airbag computer.
No airbag and single (drivers side) airbag cars have a deep centre console, and the cars with shallow centre consoles have the twin air bag computer located under them.
With the single airbag cars, the computer is actually in the steering wheel. You'll notice that the series 1 with air bag has a larger steering wheel to fit the computer in.
If you've got a shallow centre console and only one or no airbag at all, then for some reason you've got a centre console out of a twin airbag car.....
No worries.
I'm not sure about the R33 ones, I think the passengers side of the dash is big and bland and needs something there, or something to break it up. Maybe if the dash mat didn't go right down it would look better ??? Not sure..
But I think black would be much better than the grey.
BTW: that post on SDU is really old... Like mega old..
Doc has hit the nail on the head.
Get a second hand turbo (HKS 2535 would be nice ) for around the $2-2000 mark, then if your stock one is in good shape you might get $5-600 for it.
Sweeeetttttt.....
Paul,
Nice clip and nice car.. I love the ending - A definate HSV eater :)
Only thing he got wrong was saying that stock it had 185hp at the motor!! It's kw you fool..
R31Nizmoid - Cool, if Dr-Drift can work out how to re-map the R33 ones it'd be great. But I think the write once 84 pin chips are about $70, and the re-writables are about $250 or so !!!
Unless your ECU daughterboard got rid of the 84 pin chip all together and uses a cheaper chip - now that would be cool..

Yeah, it sounds like a bit of over kill. The only reason I could fit the big cooler in mine was because I've got a GTR front on mine.
Give you heaps more space up front.
Decide on what power goals you want, then find a cooler to suit them.
No use getting a 650x300x110 core if your only going to run a little more boost.

It's sad isn't it....
Once I finish my car, I'm tempted to get the whole lot engineered. When I say whole lot, it'll only be the suspension, exhaust, pod and box, bleed and tint.
Just so I can show them the certificate and not worry about defects...
My 1995 GTS-t doesn't have a rear wiper either
No fuses for it, no relay, no motor, nothing.
I think it must have been an option.
I think they look better without one anyway
When I was working out in Civic she used to hang around the traffic lights near the BP servo (between Civic and Braddon) a few days a week.
For hours she would just stand there.
And yeah, she's got a head like a bucket of smashed crabs !!!!
