I've had my car off the road 8 months for a shop trying to get a N/A R34 turned into a turbo one by way of replacing.. apparently f**king everything and still maybe "not possible" Epic. So who knows, maybe I'll sell you mine for $5 and just wish you luck with it.

Just got off the phone to mechanic that must remain unnamed... found out it may "Just not be possible" to fix my car in the fashion desired, after 8 months (need to update sig!) Never knew it was so hard to put a turbo engine into a NA R34 and get it all to work, wouldnt think so after reading here /minor rant

Modified Skyline 0-100 Times
Kinkstaah replied to gwilkinson34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Reading this thread (Digging up threads = searching, har har!) I ended up feeling slightly curious. If the R35 has 290 awkw and weighs 1740kg, and can get 3.5's you would think surely a 300rwkw GTT/GTST would be well under high 4's given they have the same power and weigh a couple of hundred k's lighter provided they don't lose traction I am curious to read what Joeyjoejoe/hamish's car actually gets as he said it pulls 285rwkw and doesnt lose any traction in first... Obviously its not only power and weight and traction that matter, would it simply be the extra (obviously a lot extra) low down and mid range torque to produce figures like 3.5 in a R35? Shorter gear ratio? What do 300-400awkw R32-33-34's get to 100kmh provided traction is no problem? Suppose it would depend massively on how responsive their relative setups are. 100% suspension based? Bit of both? Curious minds want to know, and prefer to dig up old threads then generate new ones. -
Highflow is not really a bad idea if you want to (try) to avoid being raped by the EPA. Same also applies to ECU's. That said if you aren't in vic, or your car is track only then get whatever you want Or you could get a GTR. Most would say that the best money spent on upgrading a GTT or GTST is by selling it and buying a GTR

What's Wrong With The R33?

I personally prefer the R33 GTR over the 32 by leaps and bounds. Personal taste tho -
I Need Advice On Modifying An R34 Gtt
Kinkstaah replied to hmd993's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I recently got a similar response from Trent re: Highflow injectors. Creatd do them for $85 an injector. (Recommended by Trent) Again, the vibe I got was they can be hit or miss. I don't know if the ones from Creatd are hit or miss, mind you. Failing that, are there any other injectors that look stock to the ones in a RB25DET Neo? -
Was about to say this too, Squire's loft in Docklands is a steal for a $30-50 steak. If you want to go a little less try the lamb for $27 or something you absolutely won't regret it.

Even these games become rather tedious. I am referring to FPS shooters like Q3 (UT99/UT3 more so) where things like movement are extremely important, the action is fast paced and requires precision and skills in a lot of different areas to do well in. "realism" games hamper this. Can you dodge jump off a wall and hit someone with a headshot right across the map while moving at 200mph and have the game not impede your *actual* accuracy? No. Hell, you cant even move and fire straight. You cant even move fast. Hell you cant even fire accurately when sitting completely still. Do you need strategy to move around maps and time powerup respawns and control the game? No. This however, results in utter destruction of newbies to these games, so the better it is for hardcore players the more daunting it is for newcomers - Which filter through to watered down games that they can do some damage or get some kills in. Cue CS and/or everything that followed it. Good for the masses, good for "teamplay" (as individual skill is throttled so badly, its so very required to gain any kind of advantage vs the other team), but suffers once you hit the ceiling, badly. Quakelive manages this pretty well with its skill rating system, but perhaps too little too late, this kind of skill matching system really needed to exist back when these games were the norm. No-one likes going 0 kills and 148 deaths in a 15 minute game. Lol. Truth.

Hate to ask a really obvious question here (yes, I searched). How far can stock airbox + awesome panel filter actually go? Numbers suggested seem to be around the 250rwkw mark - Can they go further? Is there a general accepted value? Asking for my own selfish reasons ofc - R34 RB25DET Neo if that makes any difference whatsoever. Would be nice to find out to help decide where to go re:highflow.

Cool, my car will be at RE for this one, and the dyno night previously... If a lovely SAU'er could just destroy it for me so I can claim it on insurance it would be appreciated!

Play this game on Insanity, it increases the fun of it tenfold for a multitude of reasons. Dramatic game music usually means you're actually in a pickle badly. Makes you have to really think to use abilities, etc. Played as infiltrator (continued from ME1) Dumped Ashley and went with Tali after Horizon Decided to not kill half the geth Let Cerberus have the Collector base Killed Samara and kept Morrinth Managed to save everyone on the team (sent Legion in the pipes, Leader of both teams was Garrus, sent Mordin back with the crew, chose Miranda and Tali for the final fight)

Hardcore gaming died when "Realism" FPS games (anything past counterstrike) became the norm. Seriously, way to handicap and put an artificial skill ceiling in gaming, ugh, ugh. Add console games for extra ugh.

R34 Gtr Vspec 2 Nur Vs R33 Gtst
Kinkstaah replied to ZW33's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
hell, as the owner of a R34 GTT I weighed up the options of going hiflow, getting everything done to the max, shooting for 270-300RWKW and when I did the calculations and cost I've realised the best way to get this done and be happy about it in the future is to buy a nice R33 GTR -
Everything is wrong with my car, lol. It's been off the road 7 months now. [Rant]Not 7 months as in "I cant afford to get it on the road" or "I don't know what to do with it" or "It's an upcoming DIY project" but 7 months of excuses from well-known mechanics, whom I must have given the most absolute shitter job to do.[/Rant] Should it ever be finished, or should I ever simply give up and buy another car.. I now know what this button does! $5 says it won't work for me though.

Thats kind of the point. Are there places/courses/whatnot that actually provide language learning in this fashion. I.E - Speaking with an instructor intensively in order to become fluent. The japanese school mentioned above is probably more what "I" (note, not me) is looking for, 20 hours a week for a year, for example. One would presume that that's a small classroom environment.
-
F*** me. I had played with that button countless amount of times wondering WTF it does, and played with the buttons on the wheel, wanting to use them, figured it was broken, or the button was for something else even though it did 'nothing'. When I get the car back this is going to be THE first thing I try, lol.
-
So, car has been at the mechanic for 7 months now.

Rosetta Stone is also a good one. Worth the money. I paid money for it and was happy with what I got out of it. Mind you this wasnt Japanese. As my gf has differing opinions on the worth of non-face-to-face language learning, what would be the best place to enroll to learn the language from start to finish. And by that, I mean literally nothing, to 100% fluent.... while being in-person style lessons is there any institutions that can offer something like that?

My 4 door has passenger side airbag, ABS. GTT should have Traction control also. N/A one doesn't. My one doesn't as it's a n/a with a GTT Engine in it. Mine is a late 2000 Series II - I do not know if this affects anything any

+1 for Chun Po, wandered in there by chance and was very surpised. Unlike other awesome asian restaraunts which have great food but shittastic decor and service, this place seems to be quite nice in every area. Will definitely go back.
