  1. no worries mate .... yeah mine don't go back to 0 perfectly either (no auto meter ones do) but the readings when they are on are good.
  2. I have auto meter gauges and they work perfectly - oil temp and boost readings are spot on.
  3. saw Maxx bootin it along Lower North East Road heading towards town late yesterday arvo .... and yes my lights are dorrriiiffftt lights - not rice .... it's only rice if you don't have the power/ET's to back it up
  4. as expected Cheeky and grim .....
  5. hehe yeah that was me .... I was hoping you would hear the air horns - I didn't have time to stop in and say hi .... top loking ride you have the mate - very sleek!! Are those mags Rays?
  6. true .... even the crappy little 195rwkw lunatics were sliding all over the track at about 150km/h too
  7. yeah Joel .... pretty much every time I've been tye have made me empty my overflow bottle. Last Wed they even advised me to tape up the overflow slot at the top of bottle in case it filled up and overflowed. As you can see they are HELLA paranoid about water on the track!!
  8. They are picky on helmets, but not too bad on the engine bay .... they are more interested that your coolant overflow bottle won't overflow than anything else (it has to be empty).
  9. there is no such thing Doglet .... everyone is out there for a good time. If you want few spectators then head out 5pm on a Wednesday night meet - we were first in line last week and until about 7pm there were only about 20 cars and a similar amount of spectators. No-one cares what you do, it is all good fun!
  10. yeah Joel a big burnout is an absolute MUST!!! Mind you, my 60' times were very ordinary on Wednesday night - lowest was a 2.03 and highest was a 2.4 - damn twin plate clutch is a real challenge to drive, but when it hooks up it is fantastic! (Note - on my old Ducaro RevSpecs {normal street tyres not a drag tyre in ANY sense} I did a mid 1.8 60' in one of my earlier outings). A great tip Martin gave me at the drags was to NOT drive in the water on the burnout pad, but drive around it and do a burnout after it. Reasoning is that the water sprays under the guard and comes off onto the wheels on launch. Also the front wheels then carry water onto the line which flicks onto your rears on the launch. Worked well for me - took my 60' down a tenth straight away Wednesday night!
  11. whatever we do, I hope it isn't on Easter weekened April 9,10,11,12 (holidaying in Port Lincoln) or April 23, 24, 25 (away in Melbourne watching the Crows kick Richmond's butt at Telstra Dome, then Essendon vs Collingwood Anzac Day game at the MCG [in a corporate box, no less] )
  12. Like I have always said Matt - all you need is a wicked burnout (and some more practise) and you will be knocking at the 11s! Maybe we need to have a group burnout practise/tutorial at a late night venue one weekend?!!
  13. Matt, give me a buzz whenever you want - I'll chuck the pics and vids on a CD for you. They are too big to upload
  14. yep, great idea! Organise away
  15. haha yeah I got heaps of pics and vids of car racing .... didn't get any more shots of the chickies today - was too busy watching the races for a change Dean - yeah those chicks in the tarton skirts (like school uniforms) were awesome - they were Matty's favourites too Matt - bring the camera and software around and I'll get them off for you. If you have alreay got them off but they are too big to post, let me know and I'll get a copy of Paint Shop Pro to you so u can resize them. Leo - yep deep down I am a Holden fan .... you grow up with them u gotta have some sort of affiliation from when you were a kid. Joolz - yeah mate I reckon that photo all in red looks interesting too! Rob - thanks ... I thought you guys would like it!
  16. yeah mate he did, but it was his first time out there and he did really well. Believe you me .... when you finally get your ass out there, I will be surprised if you can crack a 13 the first outing. It really is a lot harder than it looks and I highly respect guys like John, Keir etc do it under intense pressure and expectation from the crowd. At least when I go out there everyone expects me to screw it up, so I can't let anyone down
  17. ... will post more tomorrow night - what has everyone else got to offer?
  18. Cmon boys, this is your big chance to show off your girly pics from the 500. I'll start the ball rolling (fyi, some of these are taken by myself, some by my wife, some by Chops and some by MattR)
  19. you know I'm in
  20. muahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaha rofl hahahahahahahaha seeeef Dean .... bleh you'd be lucky to do a 13.5 Yeah I did a best for the night of 12.93, with a 60' of 2.051 and mph of 109.93. The new clutch is very bitey and harsh, but I'm getting used to it. All of my 7 runs for the night were at 109-110mph but my 60' times let me down (did one as high as 2.4). Like Matt I was spinng through every gear as the track was poorly prepared as usual. It is very disoncerting when at about 150km/h at peak power in 4th gear the back end starts letting go and waving around some. It did that basically every run .... I never backed off, but surely the lost traction at the top of each gear was costing me valuable 10ths of seconds. Was a fun night anyhow. There was a white R33 there, but he was slow as crap (high 14s all night from memory), and it certainly wasn't a GTR. He didn't blow anything up to my knowledge. Frankz (blue Subaru wrecks) did a driveshaft on one run. A red GTS Skyline (R31 I think - and it had a BIG ARSE turbo) was the culprit of dropping the oil I think. The meet was restricted to one lane for the rest of night after that - and I was 3rd in line to have a run against Ben in his new Blue S15 too
  21. nah the R34 GTR (blue, the same as John's old one) is in the Adelaide Rally, which are doing a parade lap tomorrow and you can go and have a look at it near the horse racing HQ just behing pit entry where we are sitting.
  22. can you get a Veilside front bar for a 2001 200SX/S15? I emailed you about a week ago but got no response ....
  23. yes I have seen that hot little blonde around and she is very nice indeed!! Hey Dean, last night at the drags Martin said you were 'proper rice' hehehe .... a GTR badge on a GTS-t is as bad as u can get!!
