Sunday Cruise 25th January. *Please Register your interest*

bleh - I'd put some clear tailights on my car so you could get used to seeing my rear end .... yeah 29th Feb is a while away, but I am hoping next Sat or Sunday is an AIR street meet, then Nats on the 14th Feb, then karting 2 weeks after that. -
thanks .... glad you liked them Paul!
-
no worries Matt - I can undestand your reluctance - but you knew John wasn't going to be there to chase you .... it's all good! I guess the reason for my good launches are: 1 - viscous lsd 2 - lower weight (but this is hindered by excessive wheel spin) 3 - good wheel/hub/diff/axle/weight distribution engineering 4 - awesome driving skills on behalf of myself (j/k)

That is awesome Dan! .... how much fun would that be?! Maybe us nitro guys need to look into getting some of those plastic tyres for some drifting ourselves

no worries guys .... I was happy to lead Dean's damn cruise lol .... turns out it was a top day weather-wise, nice easy route, not too much traffic (except the last part, which was the best road ), no-one speeding (or caught anyway), no defects or trouble. I hate it when someones foot slips off the clutch at Lofty too :burnout: Nice to meet the new guys. As dorky as it sounds we WILL have big daggy name tags for the next cruise so it's easier to meet the new guys. I thought I had brought the labels along for this cruise but forgot them anyhow. If everyone has to wear them then everyone is equally dorky! So, the next cruise .... I suggest go-karting at Port Elliot (since we drove past it yesterday) - how about Sunday 29th Feb? edit: date was wrong -

.... I guess I could kinda be an old schooler, as I turned up on the scene around the birth of SAU - not unlike yourself Pity Rob sold his 33, Andy sold his 33GTR and Pawley has disappeared from the cruising scene .... so many memories .... -
hehe my 1.82 was on my lowly Ducaro Rev Specs (of which I've still got 2 brand newies in the garage) but my best ever ET was on 540S and it was only a 1.912 60'. I only got to do 2 proper runs with the 540S and was dramtically improving every time. I only launched at 3,200 rpm to get my 12.74 so was barely on boost at the start. I reckon if I can get some real sticky tyres (read = nittos) then I can drop it at maybe 4,000+ rpm and get a far better launch and subequent quicker time and higher terminal speed. I hope you're coming on the cruise tomorrow Matt (whatsisname)!!!

I notice some of the old schoolers like whatisname, Bugalugs, grepin and freebaggin are missing from the list. It's UNAUSTRALIAN not to cruise on the Australia Day long weekend!!! -
Paul - yeah I had the hair extensions and tit job specially done for you .... nah had a big night last night with the boys in town so sent the missus home in the beast after dinner. Timmay - thanks I am stoked with them too. Brings new life to the old girl. I guess most of you will get to see them tomorrow .... you can see for yourselves
-
Nice time John! Yeah I am wondering if Nittos would help my times too. Might have to look into that for the Nats.
-
Damn is Steve over 300rwkw? I need to race him .... you'd better be going in the Nats Steve!!! Would be a nice sight me lined up against a few Skyrines in qualifying

yes, Dean, wtf is going on? ... cmon we are all busting to know where and when p.s. does anyone know what time is what at the ute muster? I was thinking of going and checking out the ferals (SAU company excluded John, Martin and Henry ). Anyone know the schedule? -
I agree Terry, the nights have been nice and cool lately - perfect for bhoosting! And I got my CAI setup done now so I can get some nice cool breeze into my pod instead of stinking hot engine air.
-
Saw a lusty driving a very clean dark blue S14 today with custom plates .... very nice indeed!!
-
nice times guys .... all you need now is to crack 12.74 and you'll be in the game :) j/k .... I very much hope you guys will be running at the 4,6 and Rotor Nationals 14th Feb!!! I will be and I don't want to be the only street driven jackass out there.

No I've never used one Steve - I was just told that by a couple of different people. Not so much that they don't do a good job, but that other brands are cheaper and have better features. No offense meant mate
-
I have heard not to bother with a Power FC EBC if you go that path - apparently they are expensive POS's. Better to go a Greddy ProfecA or B. The Power FC is certainly the weapon of choice IMHO. And I recommend Tilbrooks very highly!!!

I get my fuel almost always from BP or Mobil .... no idea where it came from, but the problem has been building up for some time with the fuel pump getting a bit noisier lately, as I find out it was sucking more and more crap off the bottom and clogging the intake. Leo - fuel filter goes after the pump mate - the pump is rooted so I'll have to buy a new one - $400 for the same item twice in 2 months isn't funny. Cheeky - sorry to hear u had the same thing .... Mark said most fuel places don't have filters on the breathers at all - and all kinds of shit gets in there. He said he'd never seen it on a car with only 45,000km before - but I think it also has to do with the fact the oem fuel pump has a different syphon method of pumping the fuel to the Bosch. Hence the dirt and crap coulda been in my tank from whenever (maybe from b4 I bought the car?) and only now did the Bosch suck it up. Either way it sucks ass - my car is off the road till at least Monday. Oh well. Was good to see John today at Tilbrooks - how did the ute end up? was still having some minor probs when I left. Bloody cars -
I think Mick at Tilbrooks do some too - they certainly do plenum fabrication etc, so I can't see why not.

no one has shotgunned yet Joolz, so the seat is yours if u want it. Assuming of course my car goes by then I got a dirty rotten load of fuel this week which has clogged up my fuel pump and made it shit itself. So my car goes in to Tilbrooks on Monday to have the fuel tank taken out (which involves dropping the driveshaft, diff and cradle), then pressure cleaned, then new fuel pump put in (bought the current buggered one only 2 months ago - it is a Bosch 040) and hopefully then it works. Still troubleshooting my ProfecB which doesn't work properly, Mark said Denzo and the boys might be nice enough to lend me a black ProfecB soleniod to see if my solenoid is buggered - got any old ones laying about Terry? Hoping to run at the Sunday street meet in a few weeks, then of course I'm gonna run in the 4,6 and rotary Nationals 17th Feb - I hope many of you are too!!!! -
Yes, I love how the road toll has come right down now they have so many speed cameras/defect stations/double demerit points/defect blitz on imports. The government is doing a fantastic job with the whole situation - introduce more speed cameras - that will fix the problem. /sarcasm How about they instigate a proper road safety campaign where they force every single driver to do a defensive driving course so they actually learn to drive. I spend all day on the road, and by far the biggest offenders of pulling out in front of people/following too closely/not indicating/not giving way or stopping at signs, is older people - suprisingly not 'young hoons in their import/high performance cars'. Yes speed can be a factor, but the root of the problem is way deeper than introducing more cameras IMHO. Of course the government already knows this - they just want more revenue. Instead of 'speed cameras save lives' signs after cameras, they need to put 'speed cameras raise government revenue' lol. And fyi I haven't been done for speeding since I have owned my 200SX, in fact my last fine was in Darwin nearly 4 years ago. /end rant
