I am fully with Steve .... I haven't been defected yet, but a mate that owns a certain sweet canary yellow 20B Cosmo (he's about 35 y.o. btw) was driving home from shopping and a copper followed him about 5km then finally pulled him over and stated he 'didn't even need a reason' - when questioned why.
The Cosmo got defected for too low, and too loud exhaust, even though the copper didn't test either noise level or measure clearance whatsoever. Worst thing is that the BOV, Nos, etc will have to be pulled off to get through Regency, yet the cop was too stupid to realise these VERY obvious items were even on the car.
Like most (if not all) of our cars, this is a premium example of a pampered car with the latest and greatest safety devices and is meticously maintained. Unlike the vast majority of male teenage Elizabethans driving their V8 VNs that they picked up for $3k and run around with no brakes and bald tyres, but don't get looked at twice by the fuzz
