  1. I am fully with Steve .... I haven't been defected yet, but a mate that owns a certain sweet canary yellow 20B Cosmo (he's about 35 y.o. btw) was driving home from shopping and a copper followed him about 5km then finally pulled him over and stated he 'didn't even need a reason' - when questioned why. The Cosmo got defected for too low, and too loud exhaust, even though the copper didn't test either noise level or measure clearance whatsoever. Worst thing is that the BOV, Nos, etc will have to be pulled off to get through Regency, yet the cop was too stupid to realise these VERY obvious items were even on the car. Like most (if not all) of our cars, this is a premium example of a pampered car with the latest and greatest safety devices and is meticously maintained. Unlike the vast majority of male teenage Elizabethans driving their V8 VNs that they picked up for $3k and run around with no brakes and bald tyres, but don't get looked at twice by the fuzz
  2. thanks Matt .... you're right the pics don't do them justice. Well I'm off to Port Douglas now for the week, so have fun everyone and stay safe!!!
  3. thanks for your comments .... Matt - was darn glad to see your beastie last night too /drool Heip, no they are direct bolt-on - it took about 15 minutes to change them over (did it myself this arvo)
  4. Look what I got as a Christmas pressie My New Lights Does everyone like them?
  5. bleh this Saturday SUCKS ASS!!!!! Oh well, have fun anyhow!
  6. I'd be in for sure .... but in the new year - I'm busy 'til then (but I'll have a beer for each of you while I'm in Port Douglas ).
  7. seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeef Joolz
  8. I agree with all of the above .... strap some slicks (and/or nitrous as some of the LS1s) on our cars and we have a different bll game. I'd give any of those LS1s a run on the street on pure street tyres and I know what almost all the results would be.
  9. hehe I knew that would get a quick bite Tuna I was talking SA mate. As you confirmed - only 1 even in the ballpark. And I've beaten him at AIR anyhow - got it on video to prove it (yes I know it wasn't his best run). Either way it will be awesome to see some of these guys run if they come here for muster. Also, I saw a great sticker on a 180SX the other day: "Only potting mix and kitty litter comes in 5 litres" ... hmm now what comes in 5.7l? tee hee
  10. yes, we need to get a group buy happening for oil coolers
  11. wtf???? Craig does a 12.41 .... haven't seen many LS1s beat that or come even close to it yet (in fact only the Supercharged monaro that I know of) .... not at the LS1 day we had at AIR a little while back anyhow - as I remember most were struggling to get into the 13s
  12. damn sorry to hear about your S15 John .... that sucks ass .... oh well at least mine survived ..... lucky I only did the 3 sessions though I reckon - it certainly is HELL on cars!
  13. hehe sif an R32 GTR could beat me
  14. hehe nice to see you're quicker than me now Henry Sorry I won't be at the 3rd Jan meet, but will definitely be at the Nationals. Speaking of which, does anyone know how/where to enter?
  15. damn, isn't that always the way?! Would have been nice to see 3 x pewter S15s out there (and for photos). Damn damn damn. Oh well - roll on the Nats so I can have a properly prepared track for a change. It's a real shame they don't prepare the track properly for the Wed nights, as it means lots of people (like myself and Brute) don't want to run anymore.
  16. yeah a combination of the weather, my ProfecB not working and the wife, led to me bailing. Can't wait for the Nats though - a properly prepared track will make all the difference. Anyone got some 16" Nittos they want to part with at a good price? I got a new ProfecB yesterday, so will get that in so I can wind up the booosht
  17. that sounds like the ex-JMS 33 .... I believe it has 400+ rwkw - did it have a carbon fibre bonnet? .... I don't think it has a big wing though
  18. I think a cruise should be organised for this Saturday night .... who's up for it? (and more importantly who wants to organise it - I don't)
  19. Fortunately PCOTY is still alive and kicking after Mallala .... sorry to hear about your beast Dan - that sucks. I take it you got a new supercharger belt and then this happens .... what a damn shame.
  20. Glad to hear everything is progressing nicely now John! Can't wait for a ride in Drift-6 .... it's really going to be something else /me giggles like a little girl in excited anticipation
  21. We should do a group buy .... I have been following the progress of this one on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...gory=43807&rd=1 - I will be interested to see how much it goes for. It sounds like he has a business - so maybe we can approach him to do a group buy? Anyone else interested in an oil cooler? As the ad says it helps slow down the degradation of your oil - hence makes it work better for longer.
  22. I think we should aim for an April day .... when the weather starts getting a bit cooler, but it is still unlikely to rain. And maybe I can sort out my suspension and save up for a set of new 540s by then - then maybe I can keep up with you Dan
  23. yes, had I had 540s on the front and rear like Dan, maybe I coulda got some of my power to the ground It was great sideways fun all the same .... love the 4 wheel dorifto
  24. yes, yes it was .... was very unhappy with my LM702s and found out why when we got home - after a couple of laps they went molten .... they have melted and set several times over by the looks of it - lots of thick patches that had been very runny at some point. Was a fun day anyhow - and I only spun it once. I well and truly proved the point that my car needs new suspension too
  25. I am 90% sure I am running
