  1. Yes I am very interested in doing a $50 track day at Mallala - when it dries up that is. We should get a big pack of us out there - it would be awesome!!!!
  2. That was me Timmay ..... my foot 'slipped off the clutch' (and the other foot slipped lightly onto the brake) leaving the airport carpark and I got done for 'emit undue smoke and noise'. Small fine and they didn't defect my car (warned me about the pillar guages though) .... they even db tested my exhaust - 90db @ 4,000rpm well within legal limits. They asked me tons about my car and went over it pretty well .... they were very happy with my S&B pod and heat shield set-up - the specialist defect mechanic that they had with them said it was the best and safest one he'd seen. They asked me if I had any things like a BOV or turbo-timer and fortunately I don't Other than that is was an awesome cruise!! Well planned route and general organisation TN, Ben and others!!
  3. PM me too pls with start time/place Erica - I might make it after all
  4. hehe mmmmmm bubble bath
  5. nah that is the normal crappy street meet I think .... mmmmm 200 done up holdens and fords with slicks and no exhausts .... nice street meet not!
  6. nah Pawley it wasn't as good as that - I left Digs and Matty to go for a slash and some yobbos were smashing each other in the toilets, I helped break them up and sort them out - then was ushered by a bouncer outside .... I went for a bit of a walk to get some air, next thing I knew I was in a taxi on my way home. Don't remember too much about it actually - the details are very fuzzy. I am still quite seedy today .... poor old man that I am
  7. damn .... thanks guys for all your well wishes!!! Only just checked the forums now (since Thursday). Man, what a night .... I think I said this a few weeks ago after the last party at my place, but fark me never again. To say I'm under the weather is not at all fair to bad weather. Had a top night out; the karts were awesome (even if I am a bit sore from some of Matty's crash efforts), the 8-ball was great, the big screen Gran Turismo 3 and Mortal Kombat a blast, and the girls at 108 sensational (for dirty ****s, that is) .... oh and a big THANK YOU for getting that chick at 108 to strip me down to my boxers and put me in a clam-shell bath with her naked on top - I am still smiling from ear to ear Karma at Le Rox was bloody awesome later too - even if I did leave after only an hour or so due to some fisty-cuffs .... I grabbed a souvlaki and a cab and fell into bed around 4:30am .... not bad since our first beers at the Gepps Cross hotel were at about 4pm
  8. Nah Ivan, you can buy them pretty much anywhere .... there is a joint at Brahma Lodge that have heaps of them .... I am looking to get the same sort of thing when I have some spare cash ... but with an S15 shell
  9. I'm after some black leather and grey leather to retrim my seats .... if you can find any cows around at the right price, that is!
  10. and that wanker in the pruple 33 doing donuts in the gravel was spraying gravel all over our cars as we drove past .... NHJ!!!
  11. yeah, what Steve and Joel said I often give my blow-off valve a bit o a wipe and always get plenty of oil off it (and other lubricants by the smell of it). I don't understand why, I just know it's there
  12. I was told by a copper that they are illegal cos they are a 'fire risk' in the engine bay (as they do spit out a little oil and/or fuel), and when I pursued further asking if they ever knew of a case of one starting an engine bay fire they said no but .... and couldn't really give me a satisfactory response.
  13. should take 5-10 mins (maybe 15 mins tops) per car from go to whoa ....
  14. I'll upload mine sooner or later too .... I have dark pics and vids also, but am too lazy to upload them now. Will advise when they're up on my site.
  15. Joel, I experience the same thing often .... on 3 separate occasions I have been booting it down Folland Avenue just near my house (where there is a solid median strip between the 2 directional lanes) and cops have been going the other way and give me the WTF? look (when they hear my BOV), then they bolt up to the next roundabout and do a u-turn to come after me. Fortunately I stick the boot in and get the hell into my garage before they know where I went. One time I got inside and peeked out the bedroom window, only to see the cop car slowly going down my street looking for me. I'm not sure if it's the same cop each time, or whether they talk about me .... almost famous
  16. Try this out... Go to Google then type: weapons of mass destruction Do not press Search!! Click the "I'm feeling lucky" button. Read the error message.
  17. You might be lucky .... when I brought my old 1992 MX6 back from Darwin 2 years ago, all they did was check the vin, engine numbers etc. However they did notice my dark tint (which I had only put on in Darwin about 6 months before ) as soon as I drove in, they put a light checker on it and said it was too dark. They made me take it off there and then with a razor blade But other than that they didn't look at the car (it was standard though). Mind you it was a LOT less conspicious than your sounds, and as we all know, the fuzz (and all their friends), just loooourve picking on anything that is nice or out of the ordinary. Good luck!

    Cruise

It's a long drive to Adelaide from Vic Terrance .... a nice 7 hour drive in dry weather though!
  19. I will run this time too .... weather permitting! I say the longer into the spring we can leave it, the better chance of there not being rain to screw up proceedings!

    Cruise

    Always
  21. *reminder* an ECU is a computer .... failure is not an option, but a matter of time
  22. hmmm adding 1.6% (20kg) more weight might affect my time by around 0.2seconds - I might have to think more about this Nah I value my sound, so the insulation would be well worth it! My car is a daily driver (around 1,000km per week), so I am more interested in day-to-day comfort than I about about 0.2 of a second
  23. Does anyone know where I can get some sound insulation/deadening pads at the right price? I wanna do the inside of my door shells and the door trims, as well as the bootlid/shelf etc to keep good stereo noise in, and bad road noise out I don't want to use the spray or paint stuff cos it is too permanent. Anyone know someone in the biz? Mel?
  24. hrm tasteful as expected - what can you expect when you start drinking at 6pm then take photos at 3am?
  25. I thought that's what Erica might have meant - but I was wearing a black shirt - not white. Close though - he must be my Doppelganger - poor bastard! I REALLY hope Mel's pics don't see the light of day - the ones of me would be VERY scary!
