  1. I'll be there around 6:15pm too .... I hope lots of you are coming - it's gonna be a BLAST!
  2. man that's harsh even for a joke .... nice effort for a first try .... it's a long and complicated process .... made much easier nowadays by the various programs out there - you dont have to do the hard work manually inputting html like I learnt to when I was at Uni!
  3. They can fully tell if your cat has had the stuffing knocked out of it too - the cat will be much cooler than the exhaust, whereas on normal cats it is far hotter than the rest of the exhaust.
  4. Yep, me too ....
  5. I just remembered too that the tinting on my MX6, which I had done in Darwin, had no logo on it ie. if you look closely, all windows, tinted or not, have the strength of tinting stamped/printed on them. The guy at Regency said since my MX6 tint had no blockout sticker advice my tint was illegal even if his tester said it was ok. So make sure wherever enyone goes for tinting that they put a sticker in the tint specifying blockout.
  6. nah it's 70% dude ... my MX6 went through Regency mid last year and they have a device they slip over the window and it gives a reading of blockout. When mine went in the reading said 32 ... ie 32% blockout, which is 2% over maximum. They made me pull of the tinting THERE AND THEN (wouldn't let me leave until it was off - they gave me a razor blade scraper to do it) .... but only the side 2 windows, the rear quarter window and rear screen can be up to 65% blockout, so they were ok.
  7. The tip is US$188 + shipping - prolly around $350 - $400 landed here (depending on shipping - it is quite heavy) .... then you've got the rest of the 2.5" piping, flanges and resonator .... quite a bit of money I'd expect. Thanks for the bump and recommendation zanda
  8. hehe nah that was Ricky .... nice time btw and very nice mph too!
  9. yo Joolz I would like a copy (can't be bothered downloading them) - I'll come and pick one up from your work .... eventually ROFL
  10. I have got a heap of vid runs from my digi cam ... will burn a few CDs off and keep them in my car - if anyone wants one give me a ring and we can catch up - otherwise c u at the cruise
  11. Sorry it took so long for those interested - here are some pics I took this morning: Exhaust Photos - also feel free to browse around my Briefcase cos there are plenty of Skyline pics/drag clips etc on there too!
  12. f/s - 'Intercooler' Have you GOT RICE????
  13. Very nice times there man! It certainly looked the goods. The whole car was twisting and rocking at the 1st/2nd gearchanges - I was sure something was bound to snap with all that force/grunt! What mods do you have? Did you import the car yourself or is it local realease? (not sure if they sold them here or not).
  14. You shoulda had your radio tuned in to the AIR station (I assume it was broadcasting?) .... that's what I always do when I race so I can hear real-time what's going on! (60', 1/4 time etc)
  15. Hippy - sorry we didnt catch up dude - I saw you rock up (you parked over with the Skyline group right?) and I called out over the p.a. but I dont think u heard me Maxx - sorry, I thought your car was Bugalugs' for a while there cos I couldn't see your front bumper from the commentators angle - nice front bumper there anyhow (intersting an R32 GTR style bumper on an R33) - I love that bar! Henry - nice time man!!! - you almost caught me .... thanks - the commentating was crap but we did what we could .... thanks to Ricky for his help too! Joel/Clint I agree too ... later in the year would be better - like October/November, where we're pretty much guaranteed no rain (wasn't the weather good to us today?!!!), and so we can all have time to get our lines in order Timmmayyy - nice time for the old 3lt n/a - did you like the plugs I was giving you all the time?
  16. Joel - I ran at the last 2 street meets and havent done any further mods so I figured there was no point running - I am a bit concerned about the wear and tear on things .... if I blow a gearbox or something the wife would kill me Rest assured that I will be at the next one (if and when) .... and I hope to have around 200rwkw to break into the 12s!
  17. Hehe I was one of the commentators - had a blast even though I didn't race. I think fastest time of the day was a 10.4X (correction) from Keir's R32, then a 11.11 from one of the RX3 drag cars - and he backed off too! Congrats to the freshly painted Green 180SX for burnout of the day - from the burnout spot to ways past the start line. Close second was Simon (I think) in Martin's Soarer which pulled some very nice burnouts too. Unfortuately I didn't see any Skyline run under my PB .... but I'm sure times would be slightly better on a better prepared track and a slightly warmer day. I think the Supercharged S2 Monaro did a best time of 12.7 which was pretty impressive, given most of the other LS1s ran about 14+ second passes (except Henry in 'Brute' who did some mid-13s as usual). All in all a great day!!! I hope we can organise another one, by which time my car will have some more done to it so it's worth me racing Good so see so many SAU guys out there!
  18. That is a bloody shocking date for a car event in Adelaide, and I'm fairly sure that the GSR-Evo club were even advertising our drag day on the NissanSilvia.com website for us! Never mind ....
  19. Hippy - will take some this weekend .... it's currently in David's garage. All I can say about it is that he noticed a definite power reduction when he changed it for a quieter 2.5" exhaust! Also it sounded VERY cool!
  20. (advertising on behalf of my brother-in-law) Link to advertisement Offers??
  21. - 3" cat-back exhaust - Japanese made - has word 'Bullet' imprinted on it (no idea about brand etc - came on the car from Japan) - front resonator - rear muffler 3" through then flares to 4.5" tip - stainless steel muffler (non-stainless piping) - standard bolt-on mount points - taken off car due to kids not liking the noise - good free-flowing exhaust! - located in Adelaide, will ship if necessary Offers Andrew (click)
  22. How about a 200SX/S15? .... Even though you whipped me in the rwkw test lets see how you go at the drag day! Time to beat 13.33sec
  23. hehe lets hope you can break the 14's voodoo (and get some traction to boot!)
  24. and a nice run it is too MattR
  25. Quote "ummmm here on SAU we never never ever drag race on the streets cause its not safe ... sometimes it seems like some people do because they have a very rare uncontrollable jolting foot condition ... " Hiep - I note your sarcasm and appreciate it in all it's goodness Mel - ewwwwwwwwwww you are nasty
