  1. Joel the twin was $2,750 fitted .... Chapman - yeah I know I might break a gearbox sooner or later - will just have to see how she goes.
  2. hey Craig how're things? Have you got new turbos yet? Hope u are coming on the cruise tomorrow ....
  3. dude you should have posted here earlier - I woulda bought the car off ya for $6,000 and you would still have made a profit!
  4. My 2c bad news Joel/Matt - as you would probably know I blew my clutch last week before/at the drags .... I thought I had an Exedy/Extreme Single Plate Organic clutch, but when they pulled it out it turns out it was a 6 puck cushion button (sounds similar to what you are getting/have got) .... and I blew it in under 20,000km with most of those kms only being 160rwkw. Yes I do drive the car for work so it gets a lot of shit all day with thousands of stops and go's (and 2 trips out to the drags - around 20 runs all up but no slipping until last week), but nevertheless it still went within 20,000km. I now am the proud owner of an Exedy Twin Plate clutch from Morpowa and it's bitey, but excellent - I can even get 4th gear chirps now .... just a word of warning to the wise anyhow. I can't wait to see all these new beasts prowling the street!
  5. VSpec, nah I meant you caught up with us at the end of the cruise - not got caught by the cops lol. Hope you can come along!
  6. thanks for the heads up .... luckily we are a responsible group of enthusiasts whose only interest is cruising safely and abiding by the law Are you the guy with the white GTR that caught the end of our Victor cruise the other week?
  7. I think the opposite is going to happen - I'll be so paranoid about stalling, I'll rev too hard and spin, spin, spin .... we'll see Sunday! Your beast is damn quick for a near stocker Matt - I think that Hybrid EBC is worth its weight in gold!!
  8. I've gotta say it .... that pic in your sig is awesome snake!! I drive past there all the time - if I see you car there I'll come in and say hi .... you'll see me coming - just think PCOTY
  9. Would I do something irresponsible like that?
  10. First thing, there is still a reasonably high percentage of speed camera pics that don't turn out (last I heard up to 33%), so unless things have changed recently, you may be lucky. Quite a few years ago, I got done on 2 separate occasions (once was at night and I saw the flash), and I never got a fine for either one! Secondly, assuming you do get a summons, when you go to court, beg and plead that you NEED your licence to get to work, and you may get a restricted 'P' plate licence for a year or 2 .... other than that, pull down your pants, grab your ankles and get ready for SAPOL/the courts to have some fun. I hope for your sake, the photo is a dud
  11. I ended up getting an Exedy twin plate 9krpm - turns out my busted clutch is a ceramic-button, not an organic as I thought. So, we had to step up to a twin plate which is not my ideal for driving all day for work, but I have too much power now for anything less. Got it back this arvo - feels very tight and hard, but isn't too heavy, so I'm happy. Stalled it twice on the way home - you guys are gonna laugh at me when I stall it on the cruise .... ah well.
  12. bleh work .... bad luck Dean!!! Next time mate (pity this will be the best cruise ever) - they are saying 26-28 degrees and slightly cloudy - ABSOLUTELY perfect bhooossshting weather!!!! I get my ride back with new cushion-button 6 puck clutch tomorrow, so hopefully I can bed it in/learn how to drive it by the weekend!
  13. PMs have been sent out to people who registered interest in the cruise this Sunday to Port Elliot for go-karting. If you want the details and I missed you, please PM me or something. Can everyone coming please reconfirm for sure on this post - so I can notify the owner of Port Elliot Pits. Cheers Andrew
  14. no question .... if you have the funds go a Power FC .... but you will need an EBC as well to control boost
  15. Herpe Brithday Tim - hope u had a great day!!
  16. Good to see you around mate - where did you disappear to doglet? Haven't seen you around for ages .... seen Brad lately? - he disappeared too
  17. Adelaide Jap Dismantlers at Holden Hill
  18. BUMP .... I know it has been on the backburner, but this event is STILL ON!!! .... anyone else coming? recap : big cruise down to Port Elliot, lunch somewhere down there or on the way, go-karting in some wicked karts, then cruise back. Might even go home via Victor if we have time/inclination .... a stop at the beachside donut van on the way home at Victor wouldn't go astray
  19. I'm sure I'll be there .... assuming I have a new clutch by then
  20. yeah Leo, my Exedy hyper single organic has shit itself .... slips whenever I am on boost now - wound down my boost to 9psi this morning and it still does it unless I accelerate VERY slowly. Oh well .... I just need to find a small step up clutch that is still 100% everyday street drivable, but is stronger. Matt Whatsisname I just found a ripper photo of your car on the strip - I think MAttR must have taken it. Check it out .... niiiiiiice! I will upload the rest of my photos hopefully tomorrow night! Chucked a couple of my fave photos up too for now. Enjoy!
  21. I did a total of 3 passes: #1 Time - 10:23am Temp - not recorded (but about 35 degrees) 60' - 1.977 ET - 13.407 MPH - 104.59 15psi bleed valve, clutch slipping like a bastard - was perfect off the line, but the top of 2nd, 3rd and 4th it slips like buggery #2 Time - 10:34am Temp - not recorded 60' - 1.974 ET - 13.459 MPH - 103.87 Same scenario as above #3 Time - 7:21pm Temp - 36.2'c 60' - 2.032 ET - 13.442 MPH - 107.24 Clutch slipped for the burnout so I didn't get to do one (motor revved, wheels wouldn't spin) - had some wheel spin on launch then far more slipping at the top of 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I dialled in 12.9 hoping to improve on the arvos times with slightly cooler weather and hopefully a better start, but didn't. Bowed out of the competition - beaten by .137 seconds by a bloody sigma (mind you a flat 12 second sigma - that the owner said has done high 10s before) All in all a hot but enjoyable day. My times were shit, my clutch is screwed and I sucked in the comp, but was still fun!!
  22. Yeah it sucks but what can you do?! This arvo my car started doing something unusual - I had my exhaust fixed this morning cos I bent it a bit on a kerb (long story) and now it seems to get a real shudder around 4,500rpm in almost every gear .... either that or my flywheel is slipping (is that even possible?) .... either way I don't like it. Will see how it goes tomorrow. Other than that the power is excellent currently so I am fairly happy. I just put 4 litres of tolulene in my tank with 20 litres of fuel .... that'll hopefully prevent any pinging in the hot weather
  23. yes it is totally street - a very nice package indeed!
  24. I'm gonna do some really early runs then chill till the eliminations. See how the weather goes - a will pack lots of ice!
  25. Dean: yep post the links, I would love to play Street Rod again!! Didn't get the PowerFC Mark couldn't track one down after all, so I still have the Unichip in - with the bleed valve cos my ProfecB EBC still won't work. Wish I had the Unichip boost module now - how did you go with the setup anyhow? Matt: you will EASILY nail me on ts man .... as always it's just a matter of you getting off the line. Will be a good chase to see if you can catch me in time Yeah I heard the GT 200 was making great numbers the other night then made an unusual noise .... obviously they got it fixed/sorted though. I saw Munro's Drift-6 on the rollers this arvo (spent a bit of time in the boot holding the damn thing down) .... 481rwkw is nothing to be sneezed at!!! (and it was AT LEAST 40 degrees at Tilbrooks at the time). I reckon John will get into the 9s with that beast! It sounds absolutely wicked!! I took some video too.
