"Girls are weak...chuck em in th......."
What'd I miss? Stace? Mona?
Anyway...
The two WOMEN who raced at the drag day on Sunday have taken well over $5500.00 in prizemoney between them at drag racing events over the last 18 months and that deserves restec-p of the highest order.
They are two of the most well-seasoned drag racers that SAU has the honour of calling members and should be regarded as such.
I don't think people give them enough credit - in particular regard to the skills they have developed.
For instance, Mona. How the HELL do you cut sub .020 lights every other time?!?! It's got me beaten.
Everyone have a good hard look at who the REAL racers are on this forum and in this club and then, if you're nice about it, draw from their experience. I'd like to.

I was trying to be generous, Andrew <_<
Yes Paul, I think it's time I updated it - Will do it now actually. Might make it something contentious like,
"Who needs AWD, Two Turbos and engine work to run 11.685???"
Fatz, the R31 went well most of the day but as for the 32's and 33's having 4 times the power???? You are seriously playing with your schlong.
Fark off to driftland and go spam a whore thread instead.
Merli, DOF @ WSID is a mongrel as everyone has a different idea of what should be seen in a WSID shot. Some of the pics were a little over-cooked though.
Apart from that, great.
Danish is good
Well done to everyone who participated on the day and to those who set a PB!
Huge congrats to Paul with the 10.3. Awesome stuff. Time to rebuild the transfer case and get the front wheels spinning too! Stace, into the 11's right next to me. Well done buddy.
Brad, I told you the tyres were the $hit, I said to flog the burnout hard and look what happens?!?!? 11.2 !!! Well done buddy - hope the car's back on the road sooner rather than later.
Thanks Adam for the organisation - day went smoother than any other meet at WSID I've ever attended.
Rotary times? No? No? Didn't think so Who should be sponsored by Kleenex now biatches!!!

UAS Spigot Bush looks just like the one that came out of my car. i.e. the Nissan one.
$25 is a bit rich in my opinion. You can have the one I bought from John for $15
That was a long time ago before I knew better.

Jim's clutches = good
I suggest changing (if you don't already use it) to Redline Shockproof Lightweight ($100 tops) in the box, changing the spigot bush ($10 tops) and that's about it.
Leave the rubber clutch line as it is. Send the flywheel to Jim when you have the clutch built. He'll machine it and balance the whole assembly together and send it back marked up and complete with a new thrust bearing.
Also, change your rear main engine seal.

In distance only!!! No-one here believes the same stress and wear occurs on a box in the applications you listed especially how you said it would.
What a crock. Please qualify this tripe - every reasonable person would agree that a violently abused, flat-changed, shock-loaded and generally smashed about drag racing gearbox suffers more and much sooner than a box in a similar vehicle used for circuit racing.
Come on?!!?
Adrian
Sounds to me like JETT should be lining up TWO06L :)
I'll give the burnout sermon in the pits in the morning and then line up all comers. BRING IT ON!!!
Adrian
Doing a burnout before their first use will increase the longevity of the tyre as it completes the curing of the rubber. Not a bad idea and recommended by most of the manufacturers.

Un-provoked ya reckon??? How do baseless accusations and smart-alec remarks equal un-provoked resposes???
Just to keep this post on-topic, I like the BU5TER.

Octane booster usually lists how many 'points' it boosts a particular volume of fuel.
Points as in 0.1, 0.2 etc...
98 octane with a booster capable of increasing say, 40L of fuel by 5 points would make it 98.5.

Providing he can find someone to fit it for him then tune it in time
Don't forget this though ladies and gents.
Street car vs. Street Car and Un-registered, workshop special race car vs. Un-registered, workshop special race.
Only way to have a fair comparison.
