The JUN Akira Supra also did it on salt flats with heaps of specially designed aero parts. 335 is unreal! Adrian

No. He ran an 11 or two then gave up Really, it just lost something (and gained something) in the translation, Stace. Only 0.2 seconds behind me? Shit a brick! New low mounts AND coconut sunscreen?!?!?! I am FINISHED! hehehe... Adrian
-
You can stop loving yourself in here please Brett Seriously though Stace, I'm not taking the piss or being negative. I'm a DIRT groupie and you know it Adrian
-
No no no no no.... That was meant to read: "So you're going for the records for low mounts? Aussie then world? WTF??!?!!!?!?!?! i.e. Big plans coming up for the car!!! Holy shit I had no idea of your intentions - good luck etc etc etc...." I'm not taking the piss, Stace. Really. Adrian

I'm sure wreckedhead wont mind me posting this here. I think people need to remember who's out there having a go and trying new things and who isn't. Dude, I meant what I said last night when I called you. I am TOTALLY stoked for you and SERIOUSLY impressed that your car ran the time it did. Since seeing and hearing the car in the flesh from that first street meet you came to, I had no doubt at all of what it was capable of. Saying that though, you didn't tell me that it was someone else driving the car when it ran the time. I really dont mind who ran the car down the strip as long as you got the time out of it you wanted, but come on mate, you could've mentioned it to me on the phone or even posted it in the forum. It took the rumour mill to start some shit and then people start talking shit and they pull your awesome achievement down because of it. I'll say again how awesome it is that your car ran a ten and i am soooo happy that someone else I know has a car that tough. I know how keen you must be to get out there and run that time for yourself now that you know for sure it is possible. I'm sure the car has a lot more left in it too. At the end of the day dude, I posted that thread on SAU to give you props for an awesome achievment but because I didn't know to say you weren't driving, I look like a bit of a goose. People are ALWAYS gonna look for something to pull people down over and this is just the reason they need to do that. I mean, people have been telling me what a wanker I am for running gas instead of changing the std turbo but the people doing the most talking haven't run an 11 have they?!?!!? I'm so far from pissed off with you. I couldn't be happier. But it really would've been a bit better for everyone if i'd known you weren't driving so I could give you the props and kudos you deserve without these guys picking the run to bits. I can't wait to see your car caged and slicked up. Don't forget that you'll have to get your ANDRA super street licence now, if not your UDL as the car runs tens. Remember mate, you're the one out there running the times so f*ck everyone else who isn't. All the best. Adrian

News Flash lol....it wasn't wreckedhead driving it at all.... bummer.... Awesome car, awesome time, can't go in this list though. Adrian
-
Not happy. I thought you drove it to the 10. This shows the potential of your car and that's great but it's a bit rude suggesting that you drove it. Adrian
-
1.59 second 60'. Need I say more. Adrian
-
And I think that with a 60' time of 1.59 and a lowly terminal speed of 127, he's driving the car to it's full potential and you're kidding yourself. Adrian

After a very long wait, Alex has piloted wreckedhead's 'JETT' to a 10.8 tonight at WSID. Having some problems with the activation of the gas saw an early 11.1. But all this changed when the 50 shot kicked in and the 127mph terminal speed and 1.59 sec 60' time joined forces to produce the 10.8 he's waited for for so long. With a relatively low mph, it's the 60' that does the talking here but wheelspin especially in the front is said to still be a big problem so slicks are the next order of the day and (I hope) a bigger shot of gas! I'm assured that the timeslip will be scanned when he gets home from the strip and posted for us to drool over. Well done wreckedhead, seriously impressed that it's finally here. Adrian

HOLY SHIT DUDE!!! Nice work! Adrian

The 2.5 in THAT car sure as hell better be an all new motor as the USDM STi is already 2.5l and doesn't have a 0-100k figure like that?!?!?! If anyone wants info on the 2.5L conversion, I suggest they read Fast Fours, join rexnet.com.au and speak to Damo who at last count, had imported 50+ 2.5L short motors from the USDM STi into Aus. Adrian

So you're going for the records for low mounts? Aussie then world? WTF??!?!!!?!?!?! Adrian

Help please! WSID altitude above sea level?

I don't think so. Dunno what forum you think you're on but Kenny's trying for quick times on radials. It is also pretty obvious that you're unaware of the experience level of the driver in question. I say let him go and watch the times fall. I dropped almost a whole SECOND by changing NOTHING but my level of experience. Not everyone's a seasoned racer straight off the bat. Adrian -
If anyone has any sense at all, I think that the Potts review will work to can un-trustworthy insurers with little or no backing whatsoever. This should do two things: 1/ Make us all feel better about insuring with companies like famous and; 2/ Stop dodgy operators from giving a bad name to a top notch company like famous. I honestly couldn't be happier with the service I have received from famous. They crap all over the phone-monkeys at J*** C*** that I used to deal with! Adrian

That sounds like Buster the mountain man playing naked in the snow! Damn those dreams!!! Adrian

Why you wouldn't get a skyline!

It seems as if Famous' prices are rock solid but they don't bullsh1t you. They tend to give you a competitive price, some good advice and then let you make up your own mind. I am renewing with them this week. Adrian -

Mate, speak to Robyn, ask her the question, let us all know how you go. Adrian -
Questions - My dyno results ok? How to improve?
2rismo replied to Bill's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Not entirely sure what each individual abbreviation means but as I understand it, Shoot Out Mode locks certain variables such as ramp rate and drive train inertia settings and calculates the power level based on a benchmark 'standard day'. It does however list the atmospheric and ramp conditions to aid comparison with charts produced elsewhere. I guess some of the abbrev's would be ramp rates, air temps, barometric pressure etc etc... Mate, just remember not to call them at 9am EST. They wont be there yet Make sure you ask for Robyn as she's very used to dealing with Skyline owners and SAU club members. They pay their claims. I wouldn't worry. Adrian -
HAHAHAAA!!! *cough* ahem! Photochop me!!! Adrian

Did you call Famous Classic Car Insurance in WA and ask to speak with Robyn? If you're a member of SAU-NSW it has its advantages. You might be surprised, you might not. www.famousinsurance.com.au Adrian -
FARK! That's awesome. Well done. Adrian
