  1. Wait, just worked out what's going on.
  2. Prime. Are you in the gong heaps or what?
  3. Yep, realise that. That's why my reply was over two separate lines. Was replying to two different people.
  4. A more than 1 hour drive from my place is not a good example, mate. Where in Albion Park sells it?
  5. Where from and how much?
  6. I won't post anything other than to highlight my favourite bits of your post.
  7. Can't get it. I would be using it right now if I had an access to a consistent supply. As for 9000rpm, we'll just have to wait and see. It wasn't struggling at 8200.
  8. That was the very first pull just to see what the AFR's were doing and that the settings in the boost controller for gate pressure and sensitivity were right. With more boost and without retarding the intake cam it pulls all the way to 8200rpm and then some and doesn't look like nosing over even then. I've just organised some race fuel and will be back on the dyno ASAP.
  9. I didn't take a photo or get a printout of the finished effort on the dyno but I snagged a shot of the very first pull at 14psi. The tuner was off it early and just checking things out but it was very promising. I sent this shot on my phone to Stuart at Bezerkly and "MORE BOOST" was his only reply.
  10. There's probably better options for your goals but if the price is that good it'll be a great turbo for your 25.
  11. Leeb it to Jeebus?
  12. What are they worth for the glove-friendly release version and wheel? Bearing in mind I plan on winning the one on your site.... lol
  13. True enough. The idea is that I either tinker with it myself and fix it or give it to my electronically minded mate to fix for zero dollars. Otherwise it will be sacked. Or I'll just persevere with it.
  14. P.S. LOL @ The climate control thinking it can get my stinking-hot shitbox anywhere near 18degC with the aircon gear sitting in a box next to the car in the garage.
  15. I'm prepared for that but as I know SFA about car audio shenanigans combined with the fact that there's always a chance that this is a known issue/cheap/easy fix, I thought I'd piss and moan about it here. I like this head unit (mainly cos I know how to use the thing) and I'd like to get it working.
  16. I know nothing about car audio. Here it is in a dark garage.
  17. All great information. Thanks. I suppose the most relevant part for race cars will be the general FIA approval. Should make for less dramas with CAMS/ANDRA in the interim, anyway.
  18. Adam, What is the story with legality on this mechanism? Not so concerned about road regs but more FIA stuff. I guess if it was allowed in V8 Supercar, GTC cars etc then it's going to be rated for this type of use and also for high g-force incidents but just wanted to be sure. Cheers, Adrian
  19. We were talking about this bit of gear at the workshop the other day and commenting that it was probably the best way to get tubby-guts drivers in and out of a race car. Great idea and a great product. Good job.
  20. My mechanic nearly shot me in the face when I rocked up at the workshop today with my freshly reinstalled head unit and I got the "It's a f**king race car" lecture....again....but I really can't abide the droning bullshit from the exhaust and need tunes when I'm driving. So the thing works perfectly except that the display is barely visible. It's there and if I look very closely I can make out all of the details on the screen but the entire display is very dull. It's like the backlight is dying and it shits me. The head unit is probably a ten year old model (DEH-P7200) but I like it, I don't have the funds to justify a new one and would like to know how to fix it if at all possible. This is it:
  21. I can't quite think of a much gayer goal than that. Please explain?!
  22. lol It was 90+ mph to half track with the stocker!
