  1. Ricer! (I love em!!!)
  2. WOOOHOOOO!!!! Mate, that is a truly outstanding effort and very well deserved/earned. Congratulations and don't forget to let us know how you get on in competition. What are some of the vehicles in your class?
  3. Which HKS kit did you buy?
  4. LOL! If it's tongue in cheek, just make sure the cheek it's in is your own!!
  5. Did anyone say 'boobies' yet?
  6. Seems you're thinking is spot on, champ!
  7. Christ! People just don't get sarcasm even when it's jumping up and down in front of them. But now you've kicked it off, the car this thread is about 'should' run some serious numbers but neither the tuner nor the owner are on here claiming 9's! Have a smile and a Coke and cheer the hell up!
  8. RB20's aren't capable of that power. Well, no-one's arguing any more!
  9. Someone's a gay, squealing gimp then! LOL!
  10. Back on topic you say... Hmmmm... This has an LS1 in it!
  11. Quite the opposite, champ. I see you have misread/misinterpreted what I meant. No matter. My point was that it's silly to make assumptions and guesstimates without knowing or at least having a pretty bloody good idea at what the other variables are.
  12. Lipstick on a pig, champ. Even trying to get an accurate look at the capabilities without all of the aspects you failed mention in your post is silly. Imagine it's running a 'heavy' non-oxygenated fuel for a moment, something that burns nice and slow that you can lean out quite a bit and that the base fuel pressure is 75psi. What are the 1000cc injectors worth in horsepower terms then?
  13. Zackly. It's all relative. Got a graph plotting boost vs. RPM?
  14. Never met him myself but he reports to General Automotive.
  15. Need to know the inside diameter of the holes in RB25DET (Ser1) cam covers that the 90-degree fittings sit in. NOT the I.D. of the fittings themselves but the I.D. of the holes the standard fittings sit it. Someone who knows how to use a micrometer would be nice Cheers, Adrian
  16. ... What a facetious argument.
  17. A man after my own heart! lol
  18. It all comes down to the fuel being used, the fuel pressure setting and the air:fuel ratio. It is impossible to make blanket statements like the one above. Think about it for a minute. What power would those injectors support at 60psi base fuel pressure but running Methanol? How about oxygenated leaded race fuel? PULP? It might be a good general guide to say that 1000cc injectors could support 1000 engine horsepower at 45psi base pressure and 12.5:1 but to make claims about any particular setup's capabilities without knowing the fuel type used, the pressure, the air:fuel's and the injector size is foolhardy at best. Here we know that it was running 1000cc injectors, I've had a 'stab' that it's running Sunoco MaxNOS (as it's the new hotness;)) but we don't know the fuel pressure the reg was set to or the AFR's tuned to. Let's say 13:1 and 65-70psi should be enough. Possible but more likely that the 1002hp is a great indication of flywheel horsepower. The terminal speed on the timeslip (if this car ever makes a full noise pass down the quarter) and the race weight of the car will give a better, more 'real-world' comparison and idea of the power the thing is making. ***EDIT*** I had to laugh at the genius of an engineer above too!
  19. My piss-ant little 265kW (355hp) has run faster (MPH) than plenty of so-called 500rwhp cars
  20. I would tend to agree that the car is capable of making 950-1050hp too. Not doubting that. Would love to see it on the strip though.
  21. But mostly just skids, right? This is why when I need an engine built, I go to.....drum roll......an engine builder. Just the same as when I need a tooth pulled I go to the dentist.
