Just got back from the workshop and I haven't stopped grinning like some sort of deranged psycho! Stuie and the boys at Bezerkly put in the big yards to get this finished and I can't thank them enough (although I reckon the cold ones helped )
The interest shown in this project has surprised me but I reckon it's because so many Skyline owners have 25's under the bonnet and want to see what can be achieved with a relatively small turbo/cams/basic setup. And despite the fancy oil pumps and stuff that are only there to keep it together when it's having it's arse spanked, there's not too much in the way of exotic parts being used here. Just a solid engine build and some switched on people.
Uploading some phone-quality video now but to be honest, it's a bit rubbish. It certainly sounds different than the last time I heard it run although the microphone on the phone doesn't do it justice.

That's a negative, Charlie. Making a timing pointer today and throwing some settings in the Autronic then it's fire-up. This afternoon if everything goes to plan and Stuart stays at the shop after 5pm for me.
Turbosmart EboostII. It has features to stop the drop-off that is occurring just in case it happens that it's not your current boost controller that's causing the problem (although it's quite likely that it is.)

IAC motor line and MAP line both run, cooler pipes refitted, filled with oil and water, primed, got oil pressure, stopped a water leak (tiny) and all ready to fire it up just as soon as the laptop makes it to the shop.
Woohoo!
Yeah, 250kW sounds about right. If your clutch is fine then leave it but you will find that these tyres will test it to the limit. If it's found wanting, buy a new one. Easy
I just googled NZ speed shops and they came up. It was a pretty dismal result though. You'd think that NZ doesn't have a speed parts industry.
A good single plate is more than enough for most applications. What is power level / engine setup?
I have asked the question of my supplier about shipping to NZ for you. Will let you know the answer.
It would make sense to slot a Jim Berry single in with the tyres to save on shipping. That's what I'd do.
That's $484NZD for the tyres and a massive amount in shipping. Surely there's a local speed shop who'll sell them to you for $300-ish. Even low $300's each will be cheaper. Plus Summit are out of stock until the end of the month so you'd be waiting quite a while.
