spotted a blue R33 of some kind on Maxwell St - South Penrith around the 4:00pm - 5:00pm time, it looked like it had the limited edition 40th An. colour. Didnt get a good look as i saw it at the last minute, didnt have an aftermarket exhaust so i didnt hear it. Looked very nice, i also saw heaps of soarers.

Pintaras didnt have 6 cylinders in them, they had a 4cyl ( ca20 ). 25 spline diff similar to the one in the VL commodore. The R31 Skylines had a 6cyl ( rb30 - RB20 for imports ) with a 28 spline diff.

the S2 had an increase in torque from 343Nm @ 4000 RPM of the S1 to around 360NM some info on the interior and exterior. R34 S1 & S2

depends whether its an r31 rb20 or r32 rb20. Spark plugs

The r32 in the first pics look terrible. I think they dont look a to bad if done properly, except these ones are slightly different. They go right to the bottom of the car.

Spotted : a blue r32 gtr on batt st, South Penrith. Plates MIDN9T. Also saw a black r33 in the Croydon 7-11 service station a few days back. And a maroon r33 gtst outside Penrith RSL club, 400r front bar, 3 spoke rims, silver mesh in the front bar.

One thing, RB engines dont run on diesel. It is made by chemically reacting vegetable oils, animal fats with alcohol and recycled cooking grease/oil. Some bio-diesel is made from domestically produced soybean oil. It can be made from both new and used vegie oil and animal fats. The fat is chemically reacted with an alcahol ( usually methanol ) to make whats called fatty acid methyl esters. Glycerol is made as a coproduct. The oils and fats are filtered and preprocessed first to remove water and and contaminants. They are then mixed with the methanol and a catalyst ( sodium or potassium hydroxide ). The molecules are are broken apart and then reformed into esters and glycerol which are seperated from each other and purified I dont think you can run an engine straight of bio-diesel. It comes in blends. B2 is (98% diesel and 2% bio-diesel) B5 is (95% diesel and 5% bio-diesel) there are also blends which have 20% bio-diesel (B20) At the service station ( it still has a fair while before it fully spreads throughout australia ) it would cost around 1.5 times more than straight diesel. It also has an energy content which is 10% lower than straight diesel. The more you add the less power, torque your engine produces. Bio-diesel also reduces wear and a mild solvent will clean your fuel system.

I saw a white r33 gtst on Bermingham Rd and a Silvia with a 180SX front, Onevia or something like that. Bayside Blue colour, chrome rims,full bodykit at Penrith Aquagolf.

arggh how dare you i dont know why people think the r31 is ugly?? i think it was the better looking out of Falcon, Commodore and Magna of the same era. The falcons didnt look very nice, big motors that didnt make alot of power - made alright torque though, stupid 3 speed autos. Suspension is soft, can be fixed though. Its getting harder to find a VL in good condition, i like the look of a stock calais, non of the hsv sticker rubbish. They quality is no where near as good as a skyline. Get the GXE or Silhouette model if your after a manual, the silhouette has almost all the options the TI has. There might be some diff whine. The r31s are very reliable. My mum's r31 was bought in 1992, hardly anything has gone wrong with it over that period of time. We still have it, paint is now all faded needs a few parts replaced as its nearing 200k. They are a good solid car.. i get a few laughs from my friends when i brag about it against their new falcons and commodores, but i love it Go with the R31!!

You can fit the r31 import lights ( tail lights + projector headlights ) on the australian built ones. Some panels will also go on aswell. But if you ment panels from the r32, r33 series they dont fit, they are a completely different shape to the r31.

keep seeing a bright orange r32 gtst in a workshop in Kingswood ( penrith area ) near the Cemetary. That place usually has a few nice cars in it, old mustangs, i think a ford xr6 turbo - lots of sponsor stickers.

didnt someone take apart their dash a while back? Theres a white box thing in behind the vents/dash, i think that makes that noise.
