  3. having owned a bike - I would say go the mods on the car - no point splitting your money between two points and ending up compromising both.... you get both responsible and irresponsible people in cars AND on bikes, so why go spouting crap about either? just do your best to avoid them......
  4. yeah - as squizz said, you DON'T need to remove anything, just move some of your pipes aside, I found the boost controller hoses to be most in the way (I also re-reouted some other stuff at the time) - mine is dead easy to reach now
  5. yeah - I'm not keen on the pods, they don't seem to complement the rest of the kit. However the skirts and the CF boot look great

  9. why not just make a nice carbon fibre or fibreglass housing? (or get someone to make one for you? I wouldn't want to lose the main aircon vents.
  10. yeah, for 2.5 k my mates cars handles much better than stock, but that still doesn't make up for the weight penalty that the ford carries.

  12. Ha ha ha - not knocking the GTR's, but look at how many have had fatal engine damage recently from a fang on the race track.... (remember, I own a GTR....)
  13. bet you didn't know that the skyline shares the same floorplan structure/design as the silvia.... HPI did a big feature on the linage of the GTR a while back. I own a GTR with modded handling and it is much sharper than my Father-in-laws XR6, that said, for a big heavy car it handles well and I like to drive it. It is not as 'involving' as the GTR, and it feels like I'm sitting on the old Massey ferguson from the driving position, but it has good squirt and makes a great family car. I'd get the XR6T especially if leasing.

  16. why don't you just get an exhaust shop to put in a couple of straight through mufflers? my system has 2 x 3in mufflers and it is legal - cost $150 per muffler and didn't hurt the exhaust flow. one goes at the rear (where you normally see the cannon type mufflers) and the other under the car just in front of the L/H driveshaft.
  17. Is anyone able to translate some HKS GT2530 turbo brocures? I have too of them, 1 relates to the heavy duty actuators and the second relates to the actual turbos. I have the brocures scanned in as PDF ( I am unable to run them through google translator). OR does anone have the english ones? Cheers
  18. yeah, it was asnap to install I was tossing up between the AVC-R and the SBC iD III and decided to han out the extra cash. I'm sure the AVC-R will work with dedicated hoses
  19. when I installed my Blitz SBC iD III I used new hoses as well. it showed me which ones to block off works a treat!!
  20. hi mate, I bought mine through Autobarn! only cost me bout $200 and it has just about everything you listed above (no microwave sensor). very easy to install. I did mine, as I have seen some slap happy wiring jobs (no-one takes more care with yor car than yourself!) and I didn't want anyone else to know where and how it is wired up
  21. no way you are going to get one at the end of the year for 20K, especially seeing as the 15yr rule has changed....
  22. Chris is well know for his work on setting up sespension on cars. I drive past every day and he has a large variety of cars.
  23. Can't say it is to my tastes... for the money that the QLD mob charged for the drive in, drive out conversion - I'd rather a nice R33 GTR! (I'll have to look at the article again to see what the $$$ was, but I know it was pretty hefty!)
