  1. R34 - newer, better handling. I have seem a kremer engined 911 turbo and it was the fastest accelerating car EVER!!! very nice..., but $$$$
  2. I agree with Luke - anyone paying $200 for mirrors and fuel filler reducer are being robbed!!! I didn't haev to do my mirrors, and the engineer gave me a sticker for the fuel door! no restrictor needed!
  3. yeah, but the import wreakers will still be bringing parts in, and importing parts is still available. Trying to get the rule change overturned is like holding back the sea..... Good for those people who already have 89's here, can't help but keep prices at a good level.
  4. mate, you have it easy with the engineers cert! best I could get over here either Sydney or ACT was $450!!! would have cost me bugger all if I got it for $150...
  5. It's a ski boat, but would use about the same amount as a car (overall surface area). he is getting it done in two colours (green into purple) with a sparle in it. paint is the same as auto paint.
  6. HA ha ha ha ha!!! hoorah to all of us that took the chance a while ago and got one of the 89's To everyone else saying it was SO Sudden WTF!?!?!? it's been on the cards for ages now - if you didn't commit, then bad luck. I had a Sh*t fight with DOTARS when they changed the rule in 2003, as did many others, we bought everyone else the time upto now for you to import a 15yr old. I realise somepeople wanted the later model cars, but you gotta understand that DOTARS was intending to axe this scheme since 2003!
  7. if you do, let me know - I'll consider it as well (like the sideskirts best)
  8. I agree with Yorik - I'd be going the Type A in the poncams from TOMEI (256in, 252exh[or 256 exh as option] 9.15 lift) better response.
  9. I'll see if I can grab a digi camera. doesn't Nik or Stirlo have one that you can look at? Mine's orignal, but I'm out past QBN...
  10. he may have discovered a thin spot, or air bubble in your block. did he x-ray it? what testing was done? you don't want to go too close to the water jacket - best to keep the thickness if you can.
  11. I know the pair of side skirts were $2000, the 4 piece kit was about $5800 from memory - I'll try to find the original e-mail. I think this didn't include shipping either.
  12. There is a guy in Sydney who is the distributer, but the prices are up there.... I can't remember what his company was.
  13. grab a copy of HPI or ZOOM.....
  14. HOK is going to be a dearer than the factory style paint. A friend just bought $4500 of it for his boat!
  15. Agreed, better than the RB30 route! that is what I'd do if in your situation.
  16. think you are out of luck there - cheapest option I found, when I looked was to import direct from Japan or the USA. I'd agree, that the do-luck kits are the best! I wanted the T2 kit for my R32 GTR.....
  17. In a word - wrong, the 33 is the heavyweight of the trio (although it is not that much heavier!) I'd still go the 34, much more refined. HPI did quote that the order of quickness was 32, 34, 33 - but once you start to mod them it doesn't matter, they all use the same drivetain, but with improvements in the computer systems in subsequent models. Although I love my 32, I think the 34 is a great car, if I had the folding stuff I'd get a 34 I've never been too keen on the 33.
  18. don't have a push type sprung centre do you Dean?? I'm after a new clutch for my GTR.
  19. White R33 GTS-T parked in front of Baileys arcade about 9:30 last night. Gun grey R32 GTR heading N on northbourne ~ 1:15 today
  20. best if you get them to show you, or even give you some idea of what they have in mind for your exhaust system. I'm thinking of getting someone to make me some custom dumps, but to a specific design.
  21. I'd have thought $28k was fairly high?
  22. Anyone know who it was that was organising the PFC group buy last year? I read that it could not be done until the new year!??! Anyone interested? (it was through Nengun) Cheers
  23. I'm surprised your engineer wants the stock struts!?!?! he should be able to certify what you have got (I've got ZEAL coil overs in mine and they were fine!!!) He also certified the pods! talk to your engineer....
  24. Yeah - I think you are onto something there Duncan!! it's like, wow - I've got a GTR, lets see what it can do...
  25. You can do it yourself, but there is a bit involved - few things to remove to make it easier. the 'pineapples' eliminate much of the squish, but will transfer more shock. See if you can get a tyre shop to put it on a 4 post hoist - might make tracking the problem easier.
