  1. spotted last night on the WIN news update, a Purple/ black or dark grey R33 GTR or GTSt with a front mount (hard to tell as it wasn't in focus or close up). it pulled up behind a silver Merc.
  2. Hi driftKNG Can you confirm that the 044 only flows 200 litres per hour!?!?!? - as the stock GTR pump is rated at 195 / 215 litres per hour. Normal intank replacments from Nismo, HKS & Tomei etc are around the 280 litres per hour!?!?!? (but expect to pay ~ $500. I have seen the walbro flows ~ 225 / 255 litres per hour.... I'd be interested, but want something that is going to give around 280L/H. Cheers DAN00H
  3. What is the condition like - any cracks / rust etc? any gaskets supplied, have the mating surfaces been checked for trueness? Cheers
  4. OZR32GTR, just a note on the profiles of your tyres - if the rears are still 265 and the fronts are now 245, you will have different speed readings front and rear. This will cause torque to be sent to the front to compensate (as it is seen as rear wheel slip) sidewall measurements are a percentage of the overall width - 40% of 265 is 106mm of sidewall, whereas 40% of 245 is 98mm. Not a huge difference, but may be enough to upset your system.
  5. Spotted this morning while taking my GTR back to have the air cond fixed 1. Gunmetal R32 Gts T, CF vented bonnet, AM front bar - looked nice Walking to work after dropping my car off, R34 GTR (bayside blue, had a quick chat to the owner). Lovely car!
  6. 10psi currently, good enough for 230rwkw.
  7. try lowering your price, I know they are new - but they are available elswhere for under $1000 delivered.
  8. Mine used to light up in my GTR, until I straightened the steering wheel
  9. Why spend the money now??? What mods does your car have? to give you an example, my car made 230rwkw on 10psi. Stock ECU, AFM's, pump, injectors, turbos, I/C. Aftermarket pods, front pipes, 3inch exhaust. If I were you I would stick with the stock ECU UNTIL you are ready to upgrade the parts that require a different ECU (being injectors, AFM's, Turbos). That is what I am doing. I'll be getting the PFC once I upgrade a few parts.
  10. What a shame, I was watching with interest to see if we would get one of these unique cars in OZ... Good luck with it.
  11. I'm running Redline in engine and running gear, no probs, good stuff. Recommend. (get it from Rares in Phillip)
  12. the 89's have increased in cost now. I can show you what a decent 89 GTR is like if you are around (pm me) - (as I imagine many others here can!) It is worth getting a good one in Aust. if you have the extra $$$ to spend, but keep in mind that even an Aussie one might go bang after you have bought it. The extra $$$ you save by getting an earlier model means more for mods. I don't think you will get a good 89 for the mid teens now.
  13. yes, but he also asked for personal experiences. I used Geoff and found the service pretty good, about $250 for 'steam cleaning' and $500 for rear diff pinion that I didn't expect. Otherwise it was pretty good - car was BETTER than expected, with MORE parts
  14. I found Kambah to be good, others must have lived in the poorer places As it is Canberra's largest suburb, it is bound to have a few 'bad' pockets, but what area doesn't? if you are looking at a house, bring upwards of 300k for anything decent.
  15. why are you thinking of putting mulitple throttle bodies on the SR20? this will REDUCE it's bottom end performance. why not fit a turbo rotor? I'd steer clear of the RB, WAY too much work to engineer it to fit! (not to mention the weight balance - do you actually want to turn corners!?!?!). The turbo motor will give you better performance. In Oz we have a company that builds these cars with the Lexus 4.0 V8 and a 13B turbo. Do a search for 'bullet mx5' and you might turn something up. Good luck with it.
  16. I know of about 5 ppl in Canberra that would be in on a well priced group buy. give us some details on the sort that you are looking at and the prices and I'll send it around.
  17. Friday, saw a nice white R32 GTR at the Narrabunda golf club, while I pulled up in My Silver R32 GTR. looked good! I was out on Saturday night, but saw no-one! drove around for about 1 hr after dinner, then ended up heading home!
  18. Here, Here! I agree totally, yes it is sad for the families involved, but I am glad that no other 'innocent' party (oncoming car etc....) got killed because this persons actions. Flame me if you want for my comments, but if someone killed a family member of mine as a results of actions like this, I would be unstoppable in my response. Please, everyone learn that even Michael Schumacher crashes and he drives cars F*cking FAST for a living...
  19. the twin nozzle injectors are from Power Enterprise, not sure how they stack up though. I'm going for around 550cc - 600cc injectors on my GTR.
  20. shouldn't you be modding the 4wd fuse in the engine bay?
  21. remove the 4WD fuse in the engine bay (R32 GTR).
  22. Anyone know what the standard clamp pressure of the GTR clutch is?
  23. Anyone have a definative answer on what the drive train losses are for a GTR? Has anyone done an engine dyno, then later a chassis dyno test? Seems the 'mechanical loss' ranges from 1.25 - 1.45, is this in line with what people experience? Cheers
  24. avoid the 2540's, GT-RS & T517z (10's), as these will all be too laggy on your application. That is why i went with the GT2530's. pick either GT-SS or GT530's..... (the GT-SS is the newer design). Someone on the forums made 290awkw on 18psi with the GT-SS, and is aiming for 350awkw....
