  1. G'day Laine,and welcome to Skyline ownership!
  2. So far, only 3 lucky peeps have picked up their DVD's:as you can see,we've already got a favorable response!
  3. New list: Stevie SkyGTRline race_snooze FoX GM_GTR Frink SKYLVIA & Jester. "Tentative" expressions of interest by: sxygtst oscar32 & djhatton Retired injured(pulled a heartstring):R31_silo2... Ah,only jokes,Gus! The rest of you? Stevie's onto it;let's hear ya!
  4. Best wishes from me & E!
  5. Righto:I'll be at the usual spot, but not for too long,'cause a/I'm stuffed, and I gotta work tomorrow and b/it's f***ing freezing,so no point hanging around longer than needed! Should be arriving in the mighty Liberty around 9.15-9.30ish...
  6. Yes and yes! See ya then...
  7. P.S. You can also direct deposit the $$$'s into the following account: BSB: 032 778 Account 230292 Account Name: Valvebounce Motorsport and Performance Car Association Incorporated Make sure you let me know if you choose to pay this way!!
  8. Righty-o,then! Time to pull the proverbial finger out,and do this thing! We need an SAU team (or TEAMS) formed, paid up & ready to go...Here are the people that said they are "in" from earlier responses: R31_silo2 Stevie SkyGTRline race_snooze FoX GM_GTR Frink SKYLVIA & Jester. "Tentative" expressions of interest by: sxygtst oscar32 & djhatton Being that it's teams of 4,we've got at least two teams' worth of crew. As it'll come down,in the finals,to the fastest driver from each team(Frink...LOL),it wont really matter how we're teamed up. I need confirmation(PAYMENT,in lay-peoples terms)to confirm your spot. It's $35,so get cracking!
  9. Strangely enough,it was the same officer that booked Jerry's S15 that let me off;he even looked under the bonnet(pod filters, boost controller lines 2 x BOV's etc etc) and into my cabin(roll cage,P.FC hand controller, turbo timer etc etc) and only booked me for an undersized front plate, which was fair enough(it was tiny...). I guess no attitude towards the officer helped me(not saying Jerry did anything different). Age may've helped, too? Hush,Dave! Gotta keep such tricks "under wraps"!! Everyone pay attention to what Amaru & Scooby have to say on this subject;they're spot on. You modify ANYTHING and,if it's not done right, properly AND legally, you're liable. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. Most of you know my car;a few of you remember it with it's full Nismo exhaust on:it was SERIOUSLY loud. 94 decibels at IDLE,no cat'...and now it's legally quiet, meets noise AND emissions and is about to be engineered to say so. As too most of my car is already "written up" to say it's compliant. The few things yet to be written up(roll cage, battery relocation, oil cooler and so on...) will either be written up or removed. There's f**k all fun either standing by the side of the road having a Police officer doubting the condition of your car, going to see the RTA or,worst case scenario, killing yourself or someone else because one of the "backyard" modifications caused a big off...not "soap boxing" too hard,I hope, but man created the ultimate killing machine by inventing the car. Every time you get behind the steering wheel, know it's a priviledge(sp),NOT a God-given right. Not everyone can drive a car, fewer can properly control a car. Enjoy your Skyline(you just know it loves you right back) as much as you can,but when the authorities pull you over,I'd suggest 95% of the time it'll work out OK for all concerned. The Earth wont stop spinning if you get done for no cat'-you'll just be poorer for the effort! End of rant...
  10. Don't thank me yet;it's up to the fella to contact you if he likes what he sees...although;what's NOT to like?!?
  11. O.K.- They've arrived! All good -I guess this means I better get my butt out for our ritual gathering tomorrow night. Those I don't see, maybe next Tuesday night @ Jerra trivia night? Either way,$21 and you're all good to go! (and,no,I wont have change on me:bring the correct weight!) Fire up those DVD players,it's party time! :bananaman
  12. MMMmmm...Shin Inoue's R34 is a monster ,yes?!? As for "Smoky" Nagata-san's run,well...those that haven't seen it(or heard it) NEED this DVD in their collection!
  13. Just flew back from QLD(damn,my arms are tired...);have emailed this link to prospective buyer outside of SAU. Why am I posting this up here? So anyone who's umming and ahhing knows they'll need to get a move on before this guys gets onto it...
  14. O.K.! Order will go in this arv'! People receiving much Skyline goodness are as follows: Leech SupaFly 4PKNUP Frink(already paid) SxyGTST GM_GTR MIVEC trashed OZR32GTR and Geordie! Coool: 10 DVD's on their way! I'll post once I get 'em here!
  15. Wont be there 2nite:got packing to do-see y'all next week,maybe!
  16. Theo? Where's Theo?!? Now, THAT'D make a top picture...
  17. Money on arrival is fine, gang. As stated earlier,I'll now put the order in next Tuesday(24th);probably see the DVD's on either Friday 27th or Monday 30th,I'd imagine(maybe sooner). If they're here on the Friday,I'll bring 'em out to our usual Friday night gathering,if not,Trivia night will be the go...OK?
  18. Quick opinion from within the Industry,Shell:quit while you're ahead. The only bikes that are impotable are already done so in bulk, and if you look hard enough will find a buy at the same amount or less than it'll cost yourself to bring one in personally...Plus the choice of rides is pretty average, depending on exactly what you're after...Sorry to be so negative, but that's the way I see your question! Cheers,Jayce.
  19. Speaking of dish,Gus... "Got DISH?!?"
  20. My bad;meant to add a spotted from a week ago...must be getting "old man's memory loss",LOL. Spotted Mick GTR's ride as I parked just in front of it in Woden a few Sunday's ago. Mick-damn,you look after your 33! It's gotta be one of the neatest GTR's rolling around. Just quietly,I think the two cars parked there must've looked pretty good...
  21. OK;let's now say final orders by Monday 23rd! Spread the word! And Mick is right-it's a good 'un! Sinister will concur with this, too!
  22. I'll assume you can get a genuine,or at least a pretty good burnt copy, from eBay or the like for less;if so-go for it. Or even your local markets-where I'm sure they sell genuine Rolexes for $50,too. That's your perogative. Besides,as first posted, this is offered to the A.C.T. SAU'ers;so maybe you need to organise an even more wonderful "group buy" elsewhere?!? Righto then;rant over... For those who want the real deal, read on. These are new, genuine Duke DVD's,straight from the supplier to me. Warranty and all, they'll take about 3-5 working days to get to me from when I place the order. I'm about to have 6 days away from Canberra(no,Gus;you can't have the keys to the GTR or the Forester...),and I was going to place an order on Tuesday morning so they're here when I get back. Seeing as it's only Leech and SupaFly Skyline that've put their hands up,I can do two things:order two copies come tomorrow arvo,or if it's OK with Leech and SupaFly Skyline, leave this posted offer running until I get back,THEN place the order. What say you, gents? I don't mind either way. Oh,yeah:Auto Salon Sydney was pretty cool today...
  23. Righto:just quickly(as I'm rushing out the door to get to AutoSalon),here's the deal:"Nissan Skyline GT-R" DVD from Duke Video, usually about $39 to $49(at most places...)-$21 to SAU'ers in A.C.T.-you'll have to pick 'em up from me;maybe trivia night or Friday night cruise? Here's the blurb from Duke themselves: "The original 'beast from the east', the Nissan Skyline GT-R is an icon for power, speed and advanced Japanese automotive technology. With straight-6 engines capable of being tuned to over 1000bhp, 4WD, intelligent torque-splitting differentials, rear wheel steering and enough electronics to keep a space station going, the R-32, R-33 and most recent R-34 models are mechanical 'tours de force'. But what do they go like and what speeds are they really capable of? Our new DVD traces the GT-R's technical development and tuning options, and then puts you in the hot seat for several memorable rides. How about a lap of the old Nurburgring with 'ringmeister' Dirk Schoysman at up to 190 mph with drifting at 160 mph? Or a ride on a GP track in the ultimate racing Skyline - the Falken Tyres R34? If that's not scared you, an Autobahn blast in a 600 bhp Prospec-NISMO R34 should do the trick! If you thought only ground-hugging 2-seater sportscars with names like Ferrari, Lamborghini or Porsche could be called 'supercars', think again!" I own it(naturally...);anyone who want to commit to one,I need numbers NO LATER than Monday 4pm!! Takes about 1 week to get 'em here! Any qustions, call me on 0414 484 171. I'm off to A/S! P.S.
