  1. He's a bit of everything:I've seen Harley seats to Tarago interiors to Bus stuff to full Steet Machine interiors being put together at Phil's.Plus he's a good guy(no,he wont try to get you to pay cash for whitegoods...)!
  2. You've got a tint job on your sunroof?! There's the problem, right there! This piece of wisdom was imparted by one of Canberra's top window tinters to me a month or so ago. Shocked as I was,it made sense:think just how f**king hot that glass already gets, then increase it 5 fold and reduce it's ability to disperse heat? Hmmm..bang,indeed,sir! Unless the car is equiped with special glass(treated,laminated...I don't know:they're just "treated",OK!),they WILL eventually go "KER-POW!" if they're tinted,it seems. This probably hasn't helped you one iota, but it may shed some light(geddit?Shed some light?!Hahahahahaha...groan)on your problem...
  3. Someone just told me 295,000 dead...anyone feel a bit humbled yet?!

  5. Just on the topic of this cruise, please remember that this is all in aid of the Tsunami victims. Alot has been mentioned about money to be donated, and the authorities, and who's car isn't quite right to go,andwho c.b.f. attending,or who will be killer hungover from the night before....when it all comes down to it,there's 275,000 people dead at last count. There are people sleeping next to dead relatives and loved ones under corrugated iron. The water is like sewage in some places:and that's all they've got to drink. It could be years before they get back to some normality in their lives. Imagine 9/10ths of Canberra's ENTIRE population dead, and you're getting close. So,I say $10 or more each is a very worthwhile investment from a bunch of people that are out on a Sunday enjoying their vehicles. Makes the little things that p**s us off every day seem pretty minor, huh? I don't want to preach-I'm a non-believer,anyway-but for those that are in two minds about coming alongull your finger out and make the effort:at least you've got the option...

  7. Hahahahaha! LMFAOROFL!!!
  8. There's a particularly handy fella by the name of Phil that owns Capital Transport Upholstery in Hume:I've seen his work:really knows what he's doing! And Hume is reasonably convenient, location wise, for most of us,yes?!
  9. I can understand the issue of public liability:imagine if someone held you responsible for damage to cars and/or people:any of you prepared to lay the rest of your life paying off a bad judgement call? I can't,and wont, blame Glenn for getting nervous! I'm more pissed at the individual/s that must've known this would be required, and left it 'till the last minute(deliberately?) to spring it upon us.Niiiiice work, morons! But,as stated,we're not beaten yet! And can anyone give me the name,so I can query him/her after this cruise is done,of the person that did this? Serious doubt must arise as to their sense of timing and their understanding of their job description...
  10. NO-we are not beaten:leave this to me! Have talked to Glenn(Camma S15)-let's just say it's not over until the overly rotund female lets forth a shrill cry!!
  11. Thanx!
  12. Likewise;I'm there!
  13. Can anyone post a picture of an original fitment GENUINE steering wheel from an R32 GT-R,please?
  14. So...anyone got a solid release date for GT4 in Oz,then? My wife has been hanging out for Midnight Club 3 Dub edition(it's a Bling thing...)that was s'posed to be out end of January. We just went to buy it and were told it'll now be April...FARK! This seems to be a standard ploy:gee up all and sundry about an impending game's release date, then shrug the shoulders for months on end whilst the original date flys by and the crowd gets restless...Is this normal, now?'Cause it seems to happen to almost every "big" game that's due for release. If this is their idea on marketing, well,it's sucks!
  15. Gave the ride a bath this morning,tinted the mighty Liberty,drove around,ate too much:time for PS2 or Foxtel...I'm out!
  16. Oh,yeah: how about 8.30 at Jerra Pub for those keen to meet there? That'll get us to R. Point in great time!!
  17. OK-9 am sharp at Regatta point it is! Maybe we can hold off on photo's and too much hanging around until we go the 3 minutes to the Museum, huh? That way,we can get there in good time, set up,meet ppl,and have a look at all the other club's rides, too. Otherwise we may wind up standing around for just a smidge too long and have to do a rush job just to get a spot at the museum:remember the cruise starts at 10. Maybe those dead keen to catch up before hand can get to Regatta Point earlier than 9?
  18. Spotted a green Stagea with Queensland plates and a "Brisbane Street Machines" decal on the back window at 3.15 this arv' rolling through Fyshwick's Newcastle Street. Also caught a glimpse of what may've been that white R34 GT-T(Envisage,yes?)on the same piece of blacktop earlier in the day(I was at work,see...not nessesarily working,tho'...LOL)
  19. There's a top idea! Regatta Point carpark it is,then!(Oops;didn't want to sound like Hitler then-all OK with Reg' Point?) Timing? I'm all for earlier than later...
  20. Nah,not as yet...It's quiet..too quiet...Seriously,tho',I only emailed him Thusday night:gotta give 'em time to get a satisfactory(and POSITIVE)reply,LOL!
  21. As much as I like the Flags idea,I think we've just gotta go where the car parks will cope with the numbers showing up.Maybe we'll leave the flags until the next cruise...
  22. This'll sound dumb, but go and get yourself some of those models(cars...not the expensive other sort of models...)and put 'em somewhere you can see 'em-"positive dream reinforcement",I think it's called. I surrounded myself in GTR stuff when I was still in the dreaming stage of ownership and, well, you know what happened after that...
  23. Ah,sorry:she'll only see light of day on the Tsunami cruise next weekend,as I've got to remove all my suspension to have it rebuilt/serviced...
  24. I reckon Southsiders and those of us on the other side of the border(Jerra @ tricks and Queanbo,etc...)meet at Jerra' Pub as it's the easiest place for most to get to.As the cruise starts at 10,I say meet and leave J. pub by 9 to get there at 9.30,so we have plenty of time to organise and park and look around beforehand.Hell, this thing sounds so huge,I'd like to get there earlier just to soak it all up in good time.Anyone reckon 9 is early 'nuff,or 8.30?!By leaving at 9,we can meet the Northsiders(Belco,Gunghalinites and any strays that wobble in from the Barton-Oscar,etc?)at the big carpark in front of Rydges(nice suggestion,Terminal),say 9.20-9.25ish,or 8.50-8.55ish if we all decide to leave earlier...Main thing is we want to ALL roll in as SAU.It sounds like late comers may be struggling to get a car park with their respective clubs, and as the media are on this we should all be together for maximum exposure! And everyone remember their $10(+) for the donation!!! So,whadda ya reckon?!
