  1. Just quickly-you wouldn't happen to own a white R34 GT-T like your avatar photo, wouldya? Coz I spotted a neat car as per described, and parked next to it,at the Shell servo' in Fyshwick this afternoon...and there was a gunmetal grey R33 GTS(T?) parked the other side of the servo, too.
  2. I'll second Leech's sentiments: vlsrbetter;come up with something decent to say,or don't bother...Postwhoring? I'd say so... Oh,I owned a modified VL turbo,and my good mate still has a serious one,too:they're NOT better...than a GTR,at least!!
  3. Just thought I'd throw this in:I'm here in Sydney, getting TOTALLY :Owned: by the crap weather that's coming in...which would be no big deal,'cept I'm tring to get a trackday at Eastern Creek happeneing...FARKIT!! And I'm on one of those $2 for 20 minutes of Internet thingos....and I'm probably due to run out of....LOL!!!
  4. Both cars rock, but for their respective worlds. The WRX was born from the rally scene, the GTR from Group A and JGTC racing.Once's a rally car dumbed down for the road, the other a race car, once again watered down for the masses. As already said, spend money on anything, and it'll be faster.Jeez, spend a coupla hundred thou' on a new 360 Modena, and it'd whoop ass...it's all relative!I guess it depends on where you do your driving, and why you want to power it up.The Wrexxy you're looking at is drool worthy:check SPEED mag' 017 issue:same model car, here in Aus'.Put a stock Rex against a stock R34 GTR,or an STi against a V-Spec(or even an S20-SC up against a N1 Spec)and I'd put the money on the Rex,JUST,around a city in the cut'n'thrust daily driving.ANY other situation, the GTR will do as it's makers intended and simply dissappear into the sunset.I've driven earlier models of each(MY98,00)and the R32 around town, out on the open roads and around Wakefield Park(sadly, haven't driven Phillip Island or the Creek...yet).I sprung for the better car for me and my driving:Nissan's finest.I'd imagine the same outcome if I were to drive the cars you're looking at.If you're looking at adding "NAWS" to an already heavily modified car,I'd assume you're an acceleration freak that likes dragging...save all your money and get a built RX-3 that'll run 9's or better all day,LOL!If you want one of the best driver's cars the world has ever bothered to hand a trophy to,the GTR gets the nod.Am I biased?Slightly, but I love all well executed vehicles.ANd an S20-SC is [/i]very desireable. It's just not the car that the Nissan is.I think you'd better ask yourself again, and NOT try to convince the wife, which car is for you and your driving needs...I don't think it's down to the dollars spent!
  5. Spotted...Sinista,Resta-GT(Erica,in Soobie-speak)and yours truely having a capital "P" phat time at the Hellenic Club. Getting drunk, were we? No! Having a win on the pokies? Nup! We were getting downright impressed with just how damned awesome Joel Turner and the Modern Day Poets really are! If you weren't there, you missed a brilliant night! I don't care if you don't like hip hop/beatboxing-this crew has talent like you wouldn't understand.Oh,yeah:spotted a black R33 GTS outside Jerra' Pub as we dropped Richard off:he with a mischevious glint in his eye!
  6. Oh,you just know I will !! I think it could be time for me and Commrade Vodka and Senor Tequilla get reaquainted... :alcoholic
  7. Or you can try : http://www.neltronics.com.au/other_products.htm ;these guys are in W.A. A good mate has got one of the plate covers(bottom of page)-has had it on for 4 years and saved himself heaps of $$$'s in dumbass revenue. He has have had the Police behind him on numerous occassions, and only once was the cover noted(yes,he was asked to remove it-it got put back on that night). They ARE illegal, before you ask.Either Zoom or HPi did a review of these, and hairspray,an official "plate-blocker" spray and one other equally dodgy item:the plate cover was the only one that scored above 5% efficiency(I think it was around 93-95%!)at blocking side on image taking(not just "flash")-the whole image disappears! Your call:it's your dollars/points.And,no,I wont post pics-from "dead-on",you and everyone will see his # plate!!
  8. Ah,you're a gentleman and a scholar!(ie:your cheque is in the mail...) LOL!
  9. Isn't the 13th of Feb',2005,a Sunday,Richard?! Oh,I sent Glenn(CammaS15) a large PM with some ideas...
  10. PLEASe keep all of us informed of the outcome! When do you plan on going to court?
  11. Now make sure you all that ARE coming let E. know:she's adamant that fiday eve' is the cutoff...Of course, this is for the finger food side of things:feel free to come and carry on regardless:as is the Jerra Tuesday night thing!
  12. Ah,go on:live a little! You can thank Veilside_R33 for the pink inspiration!
  13. Here's an invite that goes out to all in SAU:Jerra pub,7 p.m. ,like always, next Tuesday(the 25th...):see you all there, hopefully,as it's my birthday!Erica wants to put on some finger food,so she needs RSVP's by Friday arv':email her at [email protected] or call her on 0414 706 994.And,after round-tabling the idea at a few Tuesday night get-togethers:it's a "pink" night!Preferably a pink shirt for the fellas, but anything goes-you've just gotta be wearing something pink-and be able and willing to prove it!! Looking forward to seeing you all there!
  14. Righto, you two:ease up NOW. I'm no moderator, but this is big time amongst other things.
  15. Ah,THAT'S better! I agree with Veilside-time to "go low". Inline, you say? Another good choice! And the photo location? It seems so...familiar,somehow. It has a magnetising pull to it,especially when I'm driving my Nissan GTR...LOL!! Top place to photograph any Nissan!!
  16. Congrats,W. & D. on the photos! The car came up trumps!I know firsthand how good it feels to get a photo of you ride published. Any fears showing it with the turbo bellmouth on like that?I'm thinking of the dust factor, that's all.I've seen a filter that can be placed between the bellmouth and the compressor, but it kinda wrecks the effect....
  17. I've had the same watch for 9 months, and whilst I don't wear it every day,it hasn't skipped a beat. It's a nice slim design, and I'd mirror what Daniel said-the print on the band starts to wear off reasonably easily.I took to mine to clean it off,and it actually looks better for the effort! I'd recommend 'em!
  18. PM sent...some days ago!Just remembered to mention it!
  19. There may be some truth to the rumour...but I'm not saying anything more!
  20. HOLY CRAP! I take it there's a dyno sheet to back you up? That can't be a RB20.. Whadda ya got? Or are you waiting to spring a suprise on someone?
  21. Ditto Sinista32's post-Terry @ Instant Windscreens, all the way. Tell him you heard about him from SAU,and that I put you on to him! Jayce.
  22. Does that mean we're honourably offended?! LOL! I'm in,100%. If me being an older SAU'er(reduced insurance premiums, slammed wheelchairs on Volk rims and so on...),and we're in need of a guiding hand,I'm only too happy to help! I'd really like to see this thing go big to help the Tsunami donation! The positive press generated by NOT seeing a performance car wrapped around an inanimate object will merely be a nice by-product of helping people that have had NOTHING for three weeks, and are likely to have barely any more for months or years... Bring it on! Who's up to the challenge? Where do I get started to help out?
  23. A while ago,the guys from Sub Zero in QLD had a head kicking GTS-T...can't remember power figures exactly, but it was a tough unit...I'll zip through my Zoom mag's to see if I can dredge it up,even if it's only a reference point...
  24. I'm keen! c'mon,SAU'ers!Pull ya finger out! None of this CBF stuff:we've all got homes to go to-not like south east Asia at the mo'...feelin' guilty yet?! Let's do this! Even just show up,donate $10+,then call it a day-it's a worthwhile cause!
