  1. Spotted:a pearl white GTST R33 with large 5 spoke Vault rims,REALLY dark tint,a "different" bodykit including wheel arch flares, blue undertray neons(sorry, but NOT my thing)and a very misplaced GTR badge on the boot.Seen twice:stationary near Ali Bab's in the city, then swinging a U turn powerslide with excessive use of the rev limiter(ummmmm, dude?SHIFT UP a gear!)at the northern end of Lonsdale Street...I'm still in two minds:on one hand,I love hearing an RB winding up,but I'm leaning more towards the "TWAT: Driving Skool of the Fully Sik" condemnation of said actions and demeaning of a certain badge.Being on the GTST isn't the problem;I like GTST's.Being on anything other than it's intended vehicle is NOT cool...and driving stupidly in front of young, impressionable bogans aint hot, either!
  2. Fight the F*#@ERS to the death! Let us know how you go with this one,A. I imagine it would be like having a new house built, paying for it then having the builder knock on your door 8 years later saying "oh,yeah...forgot to mention:you still owe me $12,000 I didn't mention earlier..." ummmm:NO! Both require the same action:beat 'em to a pulp AFTER legally kicking their arse!
  3. Maybe you could also talk to Ed @ Integra Automotive:he just fixed a leaking injector on Amaru's GTR...almost exactly the same problem!
  4. Or you can try Capital Injector Cleaning on 0418 241 153(Geoff-a "slightly animated" fella that knows his stuff...)

    Cruise Time??

I'm out for 20th of Feb:the little beastie will be up on stands with no suspension fitted...
  6. And there's one known Nur right here in Australia...
  7. A seriously belated "Congratulations!" from E. and me! We knew you could do it:now it's time to draw up a timeline of achievables:buy 1st house, more suits, but 2nd,3rd and 4th houses, update your Rolex collection, start fashion house label as side project, new boat, buy 10th house(Milsons Point is nice this time of year...)and finally, chop in that beaten SLK Merc' for a real car:R34 GTR Nur Spec'!!!! Oh YEAH!!!
  8. It should feel good, not expecting a tap on the shoulder when you take it out....errr.... Anyway, congrats on getting the mighty VR4 legally on the road!
  9. I've just found a leak/weep in one of my front shocks-but I'll be putting off getting them fixed until after the cruise!
  10. Yes,we had the dark memory of Mark the not-drunk-tonight to bail us out on some tough questions, then we all collectively snatched defeat from the jaws of victory... For the record,a,fifth place was a damned fine effort for such a SMALL number of team members...where were you all?! I've read the excuses, and they're pretty limp, really! For a bunch of technically minded(Skylines and VCR ownership=technical s*#t...)-learn to program your VCR's and drag your sorry hides out the door for a Tuesday night! And the toughest question on the night was answered by the Mitsubishi driver...come on,people:don't let a good thing die! Jerra Pub,Trivia night, next Tuesday-BE THERE!!!
  11. I'm there...err...here...ummm.See you at the pub!
  12. Thanks for the props! It's nice to be appreciated!
  13. Wrong-V Specs DO have the finning on the differential housing. It has been done many a time that these diff's make their way onto non V Specs as either an "upgrade"(the "extra cooling" offered by the fins is usually offset by the twit who jacks the rear of the car up with a centre jack and snap most of these fins off...).Standard GTR's DON'T have the finned diff' cover.Aside from that... ...THIS is spot on! Thanks KBNR32! Also the V Spec and V Sec II has the second, smaller, rear boot spoiler, the lip on the bonnet and an extra lower lip on the front 'bar(or splitter,as some call it). All this info' was stuff I delved into at great length when I was working out which model and specification of GTR I would put into my garage.Guess what I brought?!
  14. :thankyou: and that, ladies and gentlemen,is yet another reason to own a GTR...
  15. Mirroring Sinista and Tridentt150v's comments:thanks to all who made the effort to meet up and thrash out the initail ideas for "the gathering". A good, fun crew and a good time was had:those that missed out?Well,ya missed out! But we'll endevour to keep you up to speed as this thing gets momentum...
  16. G'day Nath'! Welcome aboard! Don't be too concerned about the lack of a 'Line:good things come to those who beg, borrow and weasel their way into the drivers' seat! Nice to see our numbers increasing! We'll catch you soon:I'll be the one in the pearl white 32!
  17. Drunk driver? No sympathy from me,then...
  18. G'day Stolly:yep saw you wave-just managed to wave back b4 you were gone! Nice ride,BTW. That was me(pearl white 32),Sinista(silver 32) and Tridentt150v(black R33) just leaving when you saw us...
  19. Ah,cool! Niiiiice example of how a 34 should be! I guess that means you were "spotted"!
  20. Hahahaha! It's a drought,Jon:NOTHING is growing! Everthing you're preparing will prolly die,so come for a drive! LOL! Seriously tho',it's a good oppertunity to catch up with other 'Liners, and look at the drive this way:you can listen to those CD's you'd forgotten about since you'd been playing your fav's around town,or you can call it an economy run to check out your highway cruising mileage,or you can sing/scream at the top of your lungs without hurting innocent eardrums,or....ah,you get the idea! Those that don't come:that's OK-but we'll be expecting a BIG rollout from SAU A.C.T. once this event is sorted out fully! R. and me and whoever else will let you know details as we know more!
  21. I'm suprised that the media bandwagon hasn't jumped right back onto the whole "killer Skyline" thing or the "reckless P plater" thing to bring us more coverage of the crash...It seems that everyone knows everyone,or someone who does,in Canberra-it's a suprise that we haven't found out which car/driver it was.Whilst I wouldn't wish ill of anyone injured in any car crash,if the small bit of media we've heard holds any truth about the alcohol level of the driver,well...
  22. Thanks SKYLVIA! Haven't met you as yet, have I? Looks like you're new to SAU,too! Ah well, then:welcome! Last night was a good one:nothing too wild, and you all that weren't there should've seen the cake! -34...
  23. I didn't realise there was a seperate engine manual...now you've got me interested! Any chance you could burn a copy and get it to Richard to pass on to me?! I've got the "normal" w/shop manual on disc and printed form, but not the engine specific one...happy to $$$ you up for a disc,or I can owe you alcohol ! Richard:all sorted on the CD front, then?
  24. This thread is GOLD ! If someone ever calls my standard GTR a ricer,I'm pointing 'em here,LOL!!
  25. There's a trackday at Wakefield that I'm keen to have a look at....wont be circulating,as sump baffle and oil cooler aren't fitted as yet...
