im not sure if those engine flushes are a good idea, what if you have some carbon on the rings and you end up cleaning it off? you might end up with lower compression and even smoke.. unlikely but i wouldnt risk it. Regular changes would be good enough to clean the motor, afterall theres alot of detergents in the oil itself. nothing wrong with dropping the auto fluid, take the pan off and buy a filter and new oil and put it in, I think changing the transmission oil every 80K would be a good thing, make sure you get the right fluid and capacity id avoid mechanics working on your car if you can too, what will most likely happen is that some young punk apprentice will get given the keys and he feel the need to give it lots of revs, do the job quick , then out the door for a full boost cold thrashing round the block, haha, then give you a nice bill and oh your keys!!

cant the boost controller make it hit 20psi earlier?? my apexi would make the boost come on fast and hold it, that was with a internal highflow, yours is external so surely that could be improved, or is that because of the 0.63? maybe its just the large scale used on that print out.

If you have low compression that wont be helping, along with a stock computer which is always rich and retarded, maybe timing is out too, plugs maybe old, a stock dump might be an issue too, i have a 3inch dump you could have $80,

I think even a good 200kw or 250kw on a stock is more than enough for a p plater to get there kicks, you could kill yourself on the streets with that.... Why would you build a motor?? Have some fun with bolt ons and learn what it can do, a highflow turbo bolted on is enough to lose it sideways with stock setup..

$80???????????? come on!! this is a good upgrade over a crap stock dump cost me alot more $300 i think, cant remember now.. its virtually being given away!!!!!!!!

Have some stock coilpacks r33 series 2 in Good condition, these worked fine upto 200kw, so if your staying under this then they work fine, at 214kw with 18psi they were starting to miss fire your welcome to come try them before you buy. looking for $100 ONO

Have a stock r33 air flow meter, came off series 2 ( PINK LABEL) It is in perfect condition and not need anymore as i have a z32 fitted now. looking for $100, would be a great back up or replacement.

is it possible for it to have its own cat? or is that practical/possible?

looks like it dips down at 3800rpm , then comes good at 4500 then dips again at 5400rpm Is that related to how much effort the tuner has put in?? like ignition timing and fuel maps?

is this internal gated? no cams? boost controller? Gees i really hope mine doesnt take that long to make 200kw's

Have a 3inch XForce dump to suit stock rb25 turbo, its mild steel with some surface rust, it bolts upto the turbo and and cat, looking for $100 located south brissy, might swap for a decent oil catch can.

ive been having this same problem and have 3 1/2inch dump and system, ive just put a 3inch oval muffler on back and its suprisingly quiet, is a xforce muffler, decent size, the inside of it fish tails so must force the gas into the packing. I am also interested to know what resonator or muffler to put in middle, the noise level is acceptable now and only really drones a bit at 2000rpm and in higher gears where its loading up slightly. Ive noticed that an XR6 turbo's exhaust splits the pipe into two going into the cat, is this a good way off quietening it down and allowing good flow? you could have a cat that splits into a y section and then dual muffler at the rear or a massive muffler that has two pipes through it instead of just a single entry and exit, probably might burst the budget though.

i would of never suspected this at all, looks like another thing to replace... Does it matter what resonator you get or will a certain brand give it a better RB note????? Looking at a MagnaFlow resonator from Rocket industries , $132 , the body is 6inch long and 6inch round, 3 1/2 inch Would that be a good thing or not?

i dont think the turbo drain will catch fire, it is connected to the core which has coolant running thru it, so use the paper based one, its the dump that you dont use a paper one, its a soft alloy of metal i believe, should be able to get copper washers from a bolts shop, even a place like diesel spares would stock that stuff, the kudos package looks like what you need and at good price and good to deal with too.

So i got a rear muffler 3inch Xforce put on and its quite acceptable noise wise now but the exhaust guy thinks theres a restrictor inside the hotdog resonator too, he showed me a resonator that he had and it was basically blocked on the inside with some insertion and spiraled wire around it, he says this because he expected the car to sound alot more throaty, its suprisingly quiet, so is this a common thing for hotdog resonators to have silencers in them on a Jap exhaust??????????

Just be careful you dont go to a cowboy, ive been to tuners in brisbane and i can tell you some of these big names are totally a rip off, they will happily take your money though. Go see Gavin Woods, he does the job properly the first time and wont just take your money like your a money ticket.

The stock manifold is good for 300kw apparently, one thing you should do is get it faced, cause it will most likely be warped. Also you could ceramic coat it i like did, might make a difference i hope. another thing, replace all of the bolts, even the non broken ones with high quality bolts, no cheap stuff

its lowered alot yeah, what brand middle muffler, i dont wanna buy some crap muffler, alot of people have different idea of whats loud and whats not, but ive seen and heard alot of skylines around and they have some nice RB sound to them without being too bad, i could barely drive it to the exhaust shops, still got a headache Might need to raise the car i think, discovered my dump is practically touching the underbody, another job..
