  1. how come no one mentioned the deatchworks pump, theres a 300LP/H one thats under $200, if you decide to go for more power later you wont have to buy another pump, When i got my power fc tuned at the same stage , they had to replace *Coil packs *Dump inadequate * Fuel pump * plugs *Clutch
  2. just out of curiousity, how important is the 02 sensor, will it make the car run rough, idle rough or will it just use alot of fuel?
  3. My Power fc lights up the VCT at just over idle and in neutral, does that sound right?

  6. does anyone have a picture or idea how to run the coolant thru the wastegate properly? i noticed a coolant hose running thru under the throttle body, could this be separtated into two outlets and used for the wastgate, then where would you join it back in?
  7. ah ok, well hopefully it will be on full boost before 4000rpm, i noticed micks gtx3071 took until 3800rpm ( correct me if wrong) which i thought was a bit late, cause mafia's came on full at 3200 which is big difference,housings may have been different. The claimed 10% increase in flow doesnt seem to be true in that case, atleast on those boost settings and rev ranges, maybe with an external gate and E85 the hotside isnt as bad, and the compressor is able to get closer to its max efficiency then. oh well ill see what happens with mine and then re-assess any improvements. cheers.
  8. hmm, well my car is untuned and unfinished but i have the gtx3076 0.82, external gate , cams etc , should i be sourcing the normal compressor wheel and put it on so i have more of a compressor match to the turbine side? cause id like the best result possible with response. or should i just see what happens with it?
  9. Where is the evidence to prove a GTX3076 is a "poorly performing turbo" ? Is there any strong evidence here or just guess work, if it has performed poorly is it because of the turbo or someones lack lustre setup? according to the flow maps it is just as good or even better than a GT3076. And for upto 350Kw surely it is a Very Good performing turbo.
  10. where would you tap into the coolant for the Tial, would you put a T piece in the turbo coolant line or somwhere else?
  11. why not just go a GT3076 with 0.63 rear? Gt2871 belongs on a 2L silvia, waste of money on a r33
  12. lol, well personally i think the Tial looks the goods, i have a 44mm Tial and its a large unit, looks pretty hardcore compared to turbo smart. I havnt seen it work yet though and a newbee with this
  13. Can someone explain how you'd do the 50/50 ethanol mix, does this mean mixing fuel at home from a drum or would you have 2pumps at the servo, one for 98 and one for ethanol? What kind of gains would you get from 50% mix if your making say 300kw with 98?
  14. Not sure bout turbosmart but the Tial allows coolant to run thru the top, does anyone run coolant thru or not worth it? Ive been told all the Tials are just cheaply made in china? is this right or are they made in US?

Those 2871R's arnt that brilliant, especially in rb25housings, well on the rb25 anyway i had one and it was not easy to tune , i had the stock actuator on there and the tuner had problems getting it to hold boost at the top end, that was the 56trim version i made 214kw on a rb25 with power fc and usual mods using an avcr to hold 18psi, 170psi in each cylinder compression 200kw must be an awesome result for a rb20 with this turbo.

  17. lol , yeah thats to machine your own flywheel , so would be about $700 or less for the whole 300rwkw organic clutch plus machined flywheel of your own, dam im advertising for them hey, they should give me a discount cause ill be getting this deal in next couple of weeks ...
  18. i got quoted $644 and 44 for machined flywheel from NPC and that for a 300rwkw plus organic clutch so you cant go past that. but maybe just maybe the muppet in the chopper has a better solution hahahahaha
  19. i agree to this , the engine seems more powerful even without boosting compared to my old highflow i had, and that is significant , and its odd but i think true... and with cams i find it even more noticable..
  20. why would it be lean on cruise? i think your right with any boost it is leaning out, that must be why the light started flashing on mine, or maybe the tune.
  21. no, thats with a power fc tuned for a small highflow, and stock afm and stock intake pipe

I recently fitted a gtx3076 and very similar to your mods etc and i found similar problems i have a 4inch steel intake with the airflow and filter as far away as possible in the corner, mine was stalling just every now and then not all the time, so im thinking it is to do with the intake pipe but also crappy hose clamps and old hoses. Also i noticed i could give it a bit of boost , the engine light came on twice at 5psi on bout 2500-3000rpm so then i never boosted it again, cause it needs a tune.

  24. the exhaust cam is $300 brand new from kudos, and the intake is useless on a gtst, so time to mount on the wall.
  25. im bit confused, are these springs supposed to be on a tein coilover and you have seperated them from the coilover??? or are they to go with a standard shockie and just lower the car? if they are suited to go on as part of a coilover then id be interested in them, and what stiffness are they? i have some tein coilovers that could do with a bit softer springs.
