  2. hi, quick question. . internally what the difference between (rb) manual ecus and auto ecus? why im asking is that i see plenty of nistune, or otherwise chipped,manual ecus for sale on ebay/gumtree/sau but very few auto ones. . is there a way of grabbing one of the manual ecus and adding parts(?) from an auto to make it run?thoughts?
  3. thanks for sharing your story with us iron mike, you have echeod what others have said about the car scene in Japan. . .better hold onto your gtr and you might be able to sell it back to the japs in years to come and make a tidy profit!
  4. assuming you are using the standard manifold then no you cant use the side feed 25 injectors on the top feed 20 intake manifold. . .if you want larger bolt in injectors then use GTR.injectors
  5. ^^ exactly. . ive replaced main bearings on a rb20det silvertop with the crank still in place so i didnt disturb the front seal. . . took me half an hour and cost me $120 in bearings
  6. may not have to swap out the alternator. . could be a faulty/ non functioning voltage regulator
  7. forgot to add. .electrician told me some of the pins on the wiring loom(going into the ecu) was a bit dirty , when you moved the ecu with the engine running it would sometimes drop a cylinder or just stall, maybe if you sniff around there you might find your problem
  8. dont see what the fuss is about. . people still can still use the WA fs section. . i tend to buy a lot of my stuff ex east either off sau members or off ebay. . freight isnt to bad, would buy locally but a lot of things im after dont come up fs very often

  11. hmm. . could be a few things causing this. . 20 year old wiring syndrome? suggest you go thru and check all your plugs and wiring in the relevant areas
  12. looks like the gearbox extension housing seal is leaking oil. .(easy fixed) if thats the case then keep an eye on the level or you will kill the box if it runs out
  13. if the original 32 pump is okay then id be using that. . what number is on your master cylinder BM 50?
  14. any number of reasons (including the above) for cylinders to randomly drop. . . when mine did it -turned out the stock ecu was as crook as a chook
  15. advise taking engine out. . is the dent anywhere near the oil pickup? if so check that while things are apart

  19. probably was the easiest solution for you as the transmission ecu wouldve had to be wired in as it does more than control overdrive
  20. there is aftermarket steering wheels with a boss kit that will still enable you to run the HICAS if you wanted to

  22. thanks terry. . the gtst and gtr ones are listed as the same. . i tried a cpc 560/90PB but the mongrel leaked coolant from under the cap. . . the other one i tried allowed the coolant to go into (whilst engine was running) the expansion tank but wouldnt return it to the radiator when it had cooled down. . . btw its a (adrad) factory style radiator
  23. hi..have been sold the wrong radiator cap twice now and getting a bit pissed about it, can anybody give me the correct part # for either a cpc cap or nissan genuine please?
  24. you are keen thats for sure. . it would be a lot of work to do it but its a lot of$$$ for minimal gain. .
