  1. interesting deals being offered from Nissan on the leaf at the moment. You can buy at $55k with 0% finance. Or $47k cash. Goes to show the value that they put on 0% finance vs their usual rates over 3 years. And FWIW banks don't come anywhere near dealer rates unless you have some existing/larger relationship already with the bank. BTW, great thread. There has been a real increase in lowballers with the ease of sitting down with websites and a mobile for a few hours a day. Maybe 1 person in a hundred was desperate enough to sell for that asking price....but even so it was worth the buyer's time making all those calls.
  2. that's not a waste of time....it's just a quick answer for the next person that has this problem and searches
  3. Hi guys, this was discussed and agreed late last year, I will get it sorted in the next week or two. We will stick with a subsection but I'll post up details of how to subscribe to whole sections which may help. So please start collecting threads to be moved into the Motorsport Builds section. Also, I'm happy to hear any other ideas to get this place jumping again. Hopefully we can breathe some life into this section for the new year
  4. me too. It doesn't seem to be about Stageas so it is locked. If you want to chat there are a variety of whore threads, or a whole wasteland
  5. yeah if that is complete (ie including console etc) it is a reasonable price. Could probably be done cheaper if you want to stuff around collecting all the bits seperately, but that could take a while
  6. Stu was one of the few survivors of a plane crash in Burma yesterday... I don't know of anyone who has spoken to him directly but the news report says both he and his girlfriend Anna are OK. http://www.abc.net.a...e-crash/4443714 Hopefully they are both well and going to be heading home safely soon.
  7. It's a bit harsh to assume....maybe that car was built before the r35 was released, and it might run a twin turbo 3.5l putting out over 400kw....
  8. the d2 group buy is the perfect upgrade....complete, cheap and you will never need to upgrade again
  9. great idea to get the tips from John Boston, he knows the car backwards as well.
  10. I would certainly start with a commecial engine flush product. But having said that, I have cleaned old motors out with diesel (fuel) before. Just not to any car I liked.
  11. I wouldn't worry too much, the DBA catalogue is pretty unclear on the 94 gtr rotors so they just made a simple mistake.
  12. I have been on the lookout for one of those, it was a factory option. I've previously seen threads claiming the wiring is already in the car ready to plug in, maybe see if you can search back and find them.
  13. that would be much less funny if it wasn't so damn true....the club has been around for 10 years now! I seem to remember a lot of burgandy series 1 r33s getting around.
  14. we can particularly if you remove your front driveshaft. mine is out atm from a dyno day the other day....fun for skids
  15. I did....thread approved
  16. BTW I have mad mspaint skills. (I faked that pic if you didn't guess)
  17. issues with seals? only if you drift in the wrong neighbourhood
  18. hahah yep, the motor nissan *should* have put in these heavy girls
  19. did the mini have vacuum boosted brakes? if so, starting the engine created vacuum that sucked fluid into the system enough to allow you to bleed it
  20. ahh sorry I don't know the specifics of the turbo, it is small and garret bb core. and there is the rb30 bottom end like Andrew mentioned.
  21. here's mine from the SAU day last weekend. it also made 130kw.....at 3,000.
  22. secondhand? I'd try a WTB thread here on SAU, and contact anyone who has posted up that they are parting out a 4wd skyline/stagea lately
  23. you know, it would be a lot easier to suggest some cars if your profile included your location for sure these are great value these days
  24. welcome back....I thought the nick was familiar
  25. definately the easiest fix is a second hand replacement (I assume the uni joint is the issue). 32, 33, 34 anything will fit. If you want to reco what you have, a decent driveshaft place cat remove and replace the uni, the factory one is not rebuildable. When I had my (tailshaft) uni replaced, they cut and welded on a new one which was rebuildable (held by circlips, not pressed in)
