  1. double post....
  2. Resemblance much?
  3. Few boxes arrived today! One rad to replace a leaky one for the Whale, and another for me. A Nismo thermostat, and the motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer. I'll chuck the rad and thermostat in when I get the next chance, but I'm not going to fit the plenum spacer until I go for my next tune, in case it leans it out too much. Better safe than sorry. Next to the AFM! IMG_4318[1] by PNM35, on Flickr
  4. lol. Special location. RAAF base Richmond yeah? Love the mountains in the distance. Spent some time there but never saw it as good looking as that. Well done Matt, and Sean.
  5. Oh, so 100% true. If there is a was to #@!% it up, a yank will find a way.... Just imagine them all cleaning it with a wire brush...
  6. Well thats Me, and the OP are the same as G35s. Are yours NM35s different?
  7. Need to get the intercooler repainted with HKS... Cause built at M35 HKS Bro Garage. All the cool people are doing it...
  8. So I got asked what it sounds like. Well, since the turbo went in, its much quieter. I made this quick vid to give you an idea. http://www.flickr.co...N07/6959301326/ width="400" height="300" flashvars="intl_lang=en-us&photo_secret=8949aedd5c&photo_id=6959301326" bgcolor="#000000" allowFullScreen="true" I so suck at video embedding. Anyone?
  9. No Rosberg penalty? That's sort of surprising. Going to be interesting for him in the next few races....
  10. Iain, I know what you mean. I wouldn't have thought it made a difference either. However I have heard of plenty of stories of people who had cleaned it, moved it and had subsequent dramas (mostly G35s and the like). So I just took the safest route, which was not to move it at all. You have to use a bit more cleaner to do it that way, but I figure if it saves dramas, then its worth it. It's just my 2c.
  11. Yeah they are Eric, I'll pass it on. And just a old Canon point and shoot- bout $120 worth! Goes to show sometimes it doesn't matter what you got- its what in the pic that counts!
  12. Thanks guys, the Mrs was snapping away inbetween bumps! What happened before that was slightly butt clenching up the hill with the coaster bus. Lets just say performance gap between R32 GTR and R35 was displayed in front of me. Provided the lulz looking back on it. Go another of the R35 on a seemingly empty road- one of my favs.
  13. I don't think they would provide any significant drop to a Coupe. Coupes are .5 inch lower than sedans to begin with, so you might get another 0.5 maybe. Better suited to sedans and M35s. Thanks for your interest.
  14. Faxed mine in a few days ago - I know, felt very 90's in the process. Transferred monies too. Eagerly await joining the bestest club around!
  15. Just a few quick shots to get the ball rolling. One of the resident Volvo drivers club which just happen to have a meet the same day...
  16. Here are some quick pics from today. Sure Wagonboy will have some more up- saw him rocking the camera heaps again today! IMG_4265[1] by PNM35, on Flickr IMG_4263[1] by PNM35, on Flickr Wasn't holding him up..... much! IMG_4293[1] by PNM35, on Flickr
  17. Hi Dave, thanks! Uprev is an option on the second series cars, that is the ones with a vq35. Unfortunatly, it's not an option be the earlier model cars with the vq25det. you have to use piggybacks on these. Basically, the software itself is a download from their site. What you pay money for is the cable that has a licence report. The diagnostics software is open, however the tuning software is limited to one car. It's just like aftermarket computer tuning software, and easier to use than nistune, unigroup told me. I still retain the maps, and can tune if needed. The cars have factory wide bands, so you can see the afr without getting on the dyno or wide band. Hoping to get some moar power soon!
  18. Yeah, our best wishes for the rider too. My mrs was down the bank having a chat to him before the GP and others arrived. Seemed his head, arms and torso look right, but the legs were both shot, hope he's able to keep them. We stayed behind and helped out with traffic for a bit, thanks to everyone who gave a hand. Very lucky man. Met his mate, was a nice fella, said he liked he Stagea, and didn't see many in the uk! Great cruise overall, great turn out. Felt was it like to have a r35 bearing down on you! Had a good feed at a well chosen venue. Thanks to the admins for organising, and everyone for making a successful cruise! Let's see pics!
  19. Could not agree more with this. People go china spec on the only thing that holds the car to the road There are alternatives out there that have decent treadwear, and also have great grip- that was my point. RE040s were on a IS200. not exactly a ball of fire! But I don't think you would like to pay $1600 every 15,000 kms for the re040s on a daily.
  20. Nismoid was probably mistaken. So you said total cost is $1050 consisting of 662 for goods and 388 for shipping right? In which case you'll be fine. If you meant 1050 was for the tyres, and + 388 shipping on top - expect duty + aqis charges.
  21. Disagree. Nismoid is wrong. Acs does not take into account the cost of shipping internationally in the initial assessment. You will be fine. Have an itemised invoice, which tirerack do. Once the value of the actual goods go over 1000, then acs use the total amount including shipping and other costs involved to calculate the duty and any other charges. Make sense? All the details are on their website. I have imported in your circumstance, was not charged duty. I also am employed in the industry. http://www.customs.gov.au/webdata/resources/files/ValueofImportedGoodsApril2011WEB.pdf
  22. Tread wear 140- I had a set of stones re040s in that Spec, the shoulders were rooted in a dd car by 10k Kms. Last time I go that soft for a normal car.
  23. Ryan, you 100% there are no intake pipes off or anything? Vac pipes, IC pipes etc etc? Thought that might be an easy fix mate? Probably enough people there who could fix the issue there tomorrow! Dale, I'll take my snappy tom, but no doubt the hipsters will be rocking the SLRs, so plenty of photos I reckon. Sure you aren't too sick (cough cough) for the cranky chair tomorrow...?
  24. I'm just going straight there. Reminder for tomorrow! Richmond raaf 10 for 1030.
