  1. light weight 17s are better than 18s for motorsport

  6. Yeah, later model BNR32 has an improved crank for driving the oil pump. It is advisable to add a crank collar to earlier model cranks, or replace the crank.

  11. My drivers side hinges have also seen better days. I will call Nissan on Monday and let you know what the damage is. Hopefully you wont see one of my kidneys up for sale in the "For Sale" section.
  12. Yeah, nothing like a deterrant or two in the back yard to slow them down
  13. If the car's primary purpose is as a street car, you are better off sticking with a standard water pump. The N1 water pump appears to be better suited to engines running at high RPM, and it seems does not cool as well as the standard pump when sitting in traffic/ running at low RPM. As for the oil pump, you might want to read the millions of threads about RB26 oil pumps in the forced induction section. Good luck with that, you can easily spend hours trying to get your head around it all.
  14. Like Hanaldo says, they may cost a mint (some things are quite cheap however), but you can buy pretty much get anything new from NIssan. I am restoring my BNR32, and even though it is 20+ years old, I can only think of one item that Nissan could not supply new. The parts that you can still get new is amazing. I just bought the emblems which go on the door speakers as an example !!
  15. Have you asked Nissan how much as new one costs?? If so, how much??
