i think the issue is with the car rather than insurance......... i'd be thinking that the best thing to do is drive an N/A untill you have a few years under your belt, because you'll be less likely to write the thing off. it's a sweet looking car, it is a bit $ though compaird to whats out there, only for an N/A. try and barter him down........ good luck

hey guys i've heard some people on the forums say that if you live overseas for a while (2 years i think), you can take your car back home. i'm not sure about this as i'm not very learned in import law, but i'm living in the UK at the moment and there's some sweet cars going a lot cheaper than what they would in aus. so it's worth checking out.............anyone had any experience in getting a car into the country that way?? can it still be a model that they sell in aus locally? cheers

sleepers...........wolf in sheepskin. i heard my mates who are a lot more knowledgeable about cars talk about what they think is the ultimate sleeper. apparently there is this type of toyota work van that can have the Soarer engin fitted to it, cant remember if its the V8 or twin turbo 6. but either way its an upgrade from the 4 it has in it!!!!! anyone know what this is?? lots of people say that they like sleepers, but there are very few around, most skylines have cosmetic mods.

agreed.............there seems to be a belief that stopping imports will increase the new car sales which, of course, isnt true. people who want a new aussie car have a different mindset to someone wanting a 15yo jap import.......its a different market. this kind of BS happens all the time, people abusing positions of power to infulence the markets. i bet johnny has a lot of holden shares or something.............. another interesting case of that happening was in france (i think, somewhere in the EU) a chick politition is campaigning for anti-piracy laws to protect the music industry. her husband is an exectuive for a record company..........go figure. it's alteriar motives. i bet a lot of the government are steakholders in the car market.....

i think that nissian is going to keep making cars for people who can afford them new, in the GTR's case, rich people. and i think that rich people have s%$t taste in cars. so we're going to see a lot of s%*t cars. logic!
