JAMESW............it's rice if you're not a member of SAU but if you are then you have the performance to back it up.......... I said this in a different post a while ago..........but i read a car mag over here that had a Puegot 106 as the cover car........completley done up. but no performance enhancing mods...... the owner said "whats the point of driving fast if you have the style sorted.....people cant see you if you drive fast" that sums it up

Nah what i ment before is that a 1.4L 4cyc mazda engine isnt that much tech/metal. for 40K (mx5) think about what you actually get for that.......then look at what else you can get for those dollars. the tech involved in making a convertable dosent cost as much as they charge......... thats because people still pay the huge prices for them! they dont have to lower the prices......

Mods with no performance enhancement.........or a lack of ballance between performance mods and cosmetic mods............. for instance.........HKS sticker = RICE. HKS sticker on a car with a HKS turbo in it = not rice! i'm sure someone is going to argue with me on that one.

I saw something in Fast and Modified (UK car comedy mag) which really cracked me up it was the new VW beatle soft top ad.........but some dude changed the normal slogan to read "Now you can hear everyone call you a toss" i think convertables are really overpriced...............think of what an MX5 (which is a great car) actually is. how much metal it uses, engine etc............it's a hell of a lot of money for a tiny engine/car.

I played a game called Thrill Drive 2 the other day at the arcade.........pretty adverage, what was interesting though, is that it gave me bugger all time to select a car from a few (about 4 sec for 8 cars). i chose a cop car cause it had pretty colours............... when it went to the start line i noticed it was a R34!!! woo hoo! who know's of any arcade games where you can drive Skylines?? Battle Gear 3 is one which gives you a choice of 3 gen's of GTR's 32,33,34. any others?

could you sell it to an overseas customer? NZ?

i think they should scrap the V8's and get the amature race/cruise community of the gold coast to replace them.............. the pit stop can be any macca's carpark and bonus points are awarded to neon's and all maner of rice. bonus points for chrome should be awarded on a 'per meter squared' basis. also, however many people you have in your car acts as a points multiplyer. ie, 2 people in the car means 2X points, 4 people means 4X points.............. hell i'll buy a ticket to watch that................at least they'll still drive like nutter in the rain

I've got no problem at all with auto cars so i can realistically see myself in a soarer one day.........i've been on the forums. what puts me off is how many 'how to fix common soarer' DIY's there are on every soarer site............ i get the feeling that once age catches upto them they are a bugger to fix cause of all the electric's in them............. i dont know that from expereice though.....................anyone's thoughts on this??

It should be rice..............what's the point of making it real??? it's a movie!!! the idea is to make it look real for as little $ as possible...........to maximise profit. i read a book on the cars from that film. they apparently had 4 of them. 6 of the S2000 all identical..........so when they wrote them off doing the stunts (bridge jump) they didnt have to repair them............. actually they said the stunt driver for the bridge jump nearly blacked out from the impact of the landing.

And you dont have to worry about loosing traction too! They're a bit better than the GTS model shoes..........

if some stupid idea like this one gets off the ground what a great excuse for the law enforcement to raise the demerit point loss or price of the fines as to futher detur speeders. which makes sense considering with that type of insurance you'd have to break the law to get value out of it

As long as it's kept off the roads..............amature nob jockeys drifting is a great thing! the odds of wiping out your car is good and it's a great way to keep tool's out of cars. drifting needs to become official then official rules and definitions of what a drift actually is, can be established............

now what about converting to LPG??
