isnt the rivaly between holden and ford???? nissian/toyota could be the new ford........ that guy's just a bogan..........pitty him and be thankful you dont have his knowledge of cars

the system was being abused..........the law was there for car enthuiasts not for car importers to bring over Landcruisers, work vans etc. what they should have done was only apply the 15 yearold rule to SEVS approved cars that are '89' or younger (as the years roll on) that way it stops imports replacing austrailan vechials (even though SEVS is doing this) while keeping in with the original spirit of the law........................

import prices
The_Paladin replied to a topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
prehaps people who were in the market for a '89' R32 would now be looking at other Skyline models due to the law change................ as long as people dont get the illusion that the price of them is going to go up. the best that could happen is that they depriciate slower -
Stupid precision driving at it's best
The_Paladin replied to ossie_21's topic in General Automotive Discussion
it's definatly europe.................it does look like its from the getaway in stockholm, not sure i havent seen that vid but i had a look at the cover.......if it is that then there's a good chance its a Supra he's driving. those guys dont have balls.........it takes a small dick to put other people lives in danger like that. -
i think it's a good change.................if the government was using speed camera's soley to earn money like a lot of people are saying then this current move flies in the face of logic, it wouldnt make any sense................ speeding fines are less discrimintory towards performance car enthuasts too............this isnt a move to harm that group of enthusiasts. they need to be cracking down on bad driving practice more......................that's going unnoticed.

bank loan, how hard is it to get approved ?
The_Paladin replied to skylinedrifter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
see above it's possible that the rates would rise...........then you'd be screwed if you didnt have any leeway. -
would it be a daily driver or a weekend warrior?? i'm sure that would affect the choice

bank loan, how hard is it to get approved ?
The_Paladin replied to skylinedrifter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yeah that's true. there's alot of factors to consider, like if interest rates rose or if the financial situation changed dramatically. banks arn't much of being risk takers.........just money takers -
bank loan, how hard is it to get approved ?
The_Paladin replied to skylinedrifter's topic in General Automotive Discussion
it's only all good if you CAN pay it back.............regardless of what the bank thinks. they put limits there for a reason..........if you try and trick them it could bite you right on the arse good luck anyway -
bank loan, how hard is it to get approved ?

remember banks make money off these things by people defalting payment i'd put it off..........get a silvia or something. you could get fired tommorow, it's legally possible........i'm 20 and i'm seeing it happen to my mates in casual work, they're getting replaced by the 15 yearolds. a skyline requires a high income, there's no way around that. if you dont have a high income you wont get to far. you're 19 that also means speeding tickets (not that i'm commenting on your driving personally but it seems to happen to the bulk of 19 yearolds with skylines) and defects.......which cost $ to pay off and to fix your car up. take the money and move out of home. -

Preventive Measures for Theft
The_Paladin replied to Darren83's topic in General Automotive Discussion
the law's by the looks of things.............the side we should all be on. hell, why not put a contact mine under the drivers seat. what about the illusion of physical harm.......................like a sticker on the back that says "Member of Team Black & Decker Vigiallante Car Protection Squad" -
Preventive Measures for Theft
The_Paladin replied to Darren83's topic in General Automotive Discussion
i'm not sure if putting in an alarm designed to cause physical damage is legal.........that's classed as setting a trap for someone doing a B&E. if you do that in the home it's illegal. -
10 hurt as 'street race' car crashes
The_Paladin replied to 88silhouette's topic in General Automotive Discussion
that's how they (media) see everyone, as the same. with no difference between common hoons and car enthuasists. they have no commercial interests in telling the two apart. allthough there is a difference i agree. but that difference is legally hard to prove and that's where the problem is i dont know why people arch up so much, they're just VVankers, if having a whinge is what they get a kick out of then good on em, each to their own. they're not the government -
10 hurt as 'street race' car crashes
The_Paladin replied to 88silhouette's topic in General Automotive Discussion
this dosent help anyone..............it kinda helps prove the media's point of saying that car enthuasts shouldnt be let out at night....... that was really dodgy how the only car mentioned in the other crashes that have happened recently was the skyline.............prehaps they know nissian isnt going to go after them for slander cause not even they want the car in oz! -
TV and GPS in new import
The_Paladin replied to B's R33 GTS25T's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Toyota Soarer sites have some really usefull information about this because the V8 models come with TV/GPS as standard and this is one of the most FAQ's the bottom line most gave was that it is possible to convert the TV and GPS but the amount of money this takes makes it redundant................you could get an aftermarket system for a similar price. -
good point krawler HSV badges on crappy holdens is a pet hate of many holden fans.................they'd see the point in this argument. i'm aginst it because it is a bad form of deception and it degrades Skylines..................has anyone ever seen a '911' badge on a Boxster? no because it would be seen as a sad attempt at looking cool.......
-
or prehaps he did replace the badges and they were stolen..........
-
Where's the GTR badge on the back??? what sort of a question is that??? it's been flogged at the shops and now stars on the rear of a gtst!!!! (see QLD post) it was probbaly MINES_DATSUN's cousin or something. that's really not acceptable in residental areas............i reckon someone should forward those pics (cause you can see the plates) to the cops.
