  1. right what's going on? i'm guessing that the rear of the car has sustaned damage? but i cant read japanese
  2. yeah you're not really buying australian at all. the money goes overseas. holdens are far from the best, they are not advanced etc. but there's one thing that they are and that's cheap. they're not top range cars like a lot of enthuasts think they are. all the euro stuff is like BMW, Merc's, Jag's etc they're at the forfront of technology. holden should stop trying to claim is the best and start claiming it's the best for the price, which is debatable.
  3. S15. local, less chance of being dodgy and better resale. the R33's value will only drop as the R34's become more available
  4. ha, libary computers blocked it because it had the word sex in it. tough luck if you're looking up sexual health or discrimiation or something like that.
  5. it might be a idea to remove their posts so it makes it a futile attempt at advertising. If their post is still up they're still advertising their product or service. not that i'm bitching, the mods to a great job
  6. gaijin, if you didnt know what it means pretty much translates to outsider? someone who isnt Japanese. something like that.
  7. Mines_Datsun moved to America?????
  8. I've seen one advertised on carsales a while ago, silver 240 with a V8. the idea is there. Such a great idea good luck with the sale.
  9. Qld, Brisbane i think.........unless there's a Sunnybank somewhere else too
  10. auto...........i'm only going to go to manual for performance reasons. auto's are way better for daily driving
  11. cops have a lot more responsobility as well......... here in the uk about a month ago. a cop (wanst just a low level one either, he had a half decent rank) got done doing around 170kph in his police car. he's in deep shite with his job and it made all the papers etc, front page for some. he said he was testing the top speed of the car as he just got asigned to it, so he claimed it was for police work. if anyone else got caught doing 170 it wouldnt make the front page and you wouldnt risk loosing your career over it and you wouldnt have lots of people writing to the papers having a go at you.
  12. the argument that high powered cars shouldnt be banned for p-platers because small cars etc can reach 160kph is like saying that guns shouldnt be banned because you can kill someone with a baseball bat if you tried. the logic is flawed. great posts scottman and browny. p platers are just learners. that's how i see myself.
  13. could push for a R34GT-T.........you'd get more life out of it and the resale would be good. it would have to be a good sale on the R32 and a good price on the 34 though...........
  14. napi-san challange........
  15. that report could be interpreted to read that 4WD's would be the ideal choice for young drivers as they have the highest mass of all the road going cars.............. i dont think there should be power restrictions though. just tougher penalties and more driver training. if you act like a farkwit on the road you should loose your licence and people who reaply for a licence should have to take the P's test again...........
  16. see it as an oppertunity.....................you could bring in an R34 and not pay compliance................................
  17. Odd's are that if it's modded it's been thrashed................. who mods a car to drive the speed limit?? (i'm suggesting that the speed limit is broken on the track not the public roads)
  18. British people have a fetish about mini's
  19. Using a Ford Cotsworth engine is quite popular with the mini enthusasts here in the UK.
  20. i reckon people are getting smart about the whole import situation............ originally driving an import was a fairly unique thing, but the last time i was in OZ there were lots of skylines about (i saw 4 at an intersection late at night, little traffic about, not a cruise they were facing different directions) so they're not anything different. they have a rep for getting flogged so mechanic bills are high and they're a target by cops, theives, holden bogans at the lights and vandalists. for many they're simply not worth the effort when there's a lot more discreet motors about with similar performance but less trouble attached........ if you include the price of repairs and defect notices they're not that cheap............
  21. i advise you to relax man, get a bad rep
  22. not ban............just banish www.nissansilvia.com
  23. Aussie cars dont depreciate that much compaired to the ones overseas..............the 'drive em till they explode' culture prevents that. once the new car warrenties run out on them all and they need to be serviced they're price will fall quite a bit.........
  24. yep, i read about this game on EA's site......... Cant wait for the Gold Coast mod!!!!
