Silversr33 you make some great points, specially about walking around with a gun. if i wanted to drive a T80 tank down the road i would get arrested, some of the 4WD's are not much different and are quite the same in principle. they'll be banned one day, they need a postmortem of an accident to say that the kid on the bike would have survived if the car was anything but a 4WD and for the parents to sue, go on ACA and start a successful campaign. then the governement will rush in panic ledgislation..........

i cant see any other reason to complain about p plates other than i might make a p-plater an easier cop target if you're too cool to stick em on your car you really dont have the maturity to drive

i spose those manufactures could buy out some of the tuning shops..........but that would get rid of the personal factor..........

nah i havent seen many people with p's here..........maybe it's different in Scotland. if it's in England then i'm sure the SNP would have opposed it........ i think it's a good idea in QLD. i got my p's about 3 days before i went over seas, i can legally drive in oz (and uk too, but i cant find someone who owns an auto) but the gap between me getting my licence and actually driving on my own is over 1 year. i would like p's cause i'd hope other drivers would give me that extra leeway or room for error.........fat chance most likely i got SFA on my L's.......

australians do get ripped off with car prices. specially 2nd hand ones. the prices of 2nd hand cars here in the UK is amazing compaired to OZ..........but that's partially due to the 'drive till the explode' habits of aussies........and we dont have mandatory road worthy tests every 2 years for cars over 4 years old like they do in the uk. that helps drive prices down......... still.................the government is just protecting aussie interests, which is rich cause companies like ford, holden are not owned by aussies anyway. profits end up overeseas each way.

i think they need to crack down a lot more on hoons..........what i reckon is dodgy is how they differentiate between hooning and normal traffic offences ie man/34/holden astra 140kph speeding man/21/skyline 140kph hooning

if it was a skyline the paper would have said 'Nissian Skyline' rather than 'Import' we all know that.............. i think they're stupid laws, i remember saying in a post about the new hoon laws that high speed chases would ensure. If the police got his plate number they should have stormed his house with a SERT team in the early hours of the morning and arrested him. not started up a chase............... he should be banned from driving for a loooooooooooong time..........

fair comment i think doridori shouldnt be banned at this stage.............as long as there's a sticky warning about him on the for sale section and any move made by him to be deleted...........but the more posts he makes the better, it gives SAU a better idea of his writing style etc so it will be easier to pick up for the next alias he signs into. i'm willing to bet he's got another account right now. at the very least it's good entertianment

it would be more dangerous.................you wouldnt need it in day to day driving, it's a bad habit...........you dont really need to go 0.01sec faster then the other guy at the lights. the first time i hopped into a car to drive i put the left foot on the brake out of habit from playing to much Datoyna USA. if you took up rally or something though thats a different story.......

i dont think %90 of the R32's around are worth the money, but i spose people are paying the prices. Great cars, but it has to be kept in mind their age. 12k for a 16 year old car is a lot of money. it's 2nd hand cars in general, they dont depriciate that much in australia. The Soarer on the other hand................that would easily rival/beat a R32 if you are into that sort of thing. the original price was a hell of a lot higher but you could get one of a similar age for a similar price.
