  1. Raj try VEK Tools in Smithfield - they always have a good selection in stock. Bunnings stock Kinchrome and Sidchrome too. If you are after a more comprehensive selection though, go with VEK. They are online. There is another VEK Tools in McGraths Hill if that is closer for you. If you are up for a drive there is Hawkesbury Toolworx in Nth Richmond - this one is a bit of a hidden gem, it is a small, but comprehensive, family owned tool shop.
  2. This is great Eric. I knew Brett and worked around the corner from his shop in Brookvale when the car was being built. He spent a lot on the engine. I remember at the time they were hand crafting an entire exhaust for it that ran twin pipes all the way. Did it still have this exhaust when you got the engine? Brett loved that car, and this type of information is exactly why I started the thread. A known workshop owned and built gtr with history. At around the same time he was developing the gtr, they also had a white wide-body kitted Kakimoto built r33 gts25t do you know anything about that car. Also be interested to know what happened to Brett and Joviant?
  3. Orcon Tool and Equipment 2 tonne low lift jack pretty good too, and really affordable.
  4. Do you know of any cool tools?
  5. It was a no expense spared build at the time by a well known Jp workshop. It featured in magazines and videos. It was well know in Australia at the time and then it disappeared. Similar to a Jun Gtr, Top secret gtr, veilside gtr, or mines gtr. It was a workshop owned and built car.
  6. Thanks for that observation. How many workshop jacks are we talking about? My Omega doesn't leak and is a far better product in my opinion than the Bluepoint/Snap-on. I have both, as mentioned earlier.
  7. How did they fund it?
  8. The donation options start at $30 to show support; $60 to be first to see and walk the track; options continue as you increase donation amount, the next one was 6 x 20 min laps of track and so on. You have to search a bit after following Duncan's link. I donated $60 and according to tally was the 18th donator. There are a couple of caveats, but they are explained on gogetfunding Casar page. Seems like someone is finally making an effort to get a track built. If you are still concerned, the payment is made via Paypal link and use your credit card to make the payment through this as its the safest option. It appears to be legitimate.
  9. Motor racing legend Dick Johnson's race team got shorted millions follow the collapse of sponsor Westpoint. Westpoint collapsed owing mum and dad investors millions. Busted being dodgy with their funding. Anyhow, if you could convince him to come on Board after scrutinising the deal and appoint him to the Board. Then you'd get a fountain of funding.
  10. Where are the funds to be deposited? How do we know who controls the bank account? Don't mind losing the cash at this price, but I do mind if the funds are going to some Richard Cranium Scammer pulling a development project swifty.
  11. Seems destined to be a future barn find R32 GTR. Or if stolen, a future dodgy panel shop find.
  12. That explains it. Mine is about the same vintage, but was used in shop.
  13. Has it been serviced?
  14. Mine leaks too. Back seal on piston. Bought a 3 tonne Omega at around the same time - no leaks.
  15. http://m.adelaidenow.com.au/news/firefighter-jailed-for-black-saturday/story-e6frea6u-1226340999521 Less chance of success then Terry
  16. Yes they do... It's called swell
  17. Ironic that those who fight them start them. I think they call that job protectionism
  18. I did. It doesn't. In any event, I'm not sure what a maroon GTR has to do with the special company purple hue the car was painted. The plates were a reference pre searchy by two years at least. Those plates would have moved onto another car by now.
  19. What year does your search commence from? Also, there appears from Duncan's link to be an imposter. Are you able to post up search result.Car was definitely purple.
  20. This is true of businesses generally. However, they did move with the times/scene, as Danny was an actual artist and went to Sydney uni and held a degree in fine arts. His designs and kits were his own and he did kit and paint some awesome R34 GTRs, this may date Cyber within the last 15 years? They were still operating as recently as 3 years ago. The car that put them on the map was the Cyber Predator kitted prelude and Honda CRX. Cover of the first issue Fast Fours and Rotaries.
  21. Also, this thread may now form a history of what is a significant skyline in Australia.
  22. I would think that the "they" are no different to the "I". In other words, people that are interested in Skylines (enthusiasts). Plus, given the rather lengthy "spotted" Skylines threads... not too far from this topic. That car was a pretty well known car. The videos it was on are the equivalents of the Motive DVDs of today. Reason for locating is see whether owner interested in selling.
