  1. Why not just post up a thread in the QLD -> Events Section.........?
  2. cmon, gordo has to pay his child support payments for our lovechild, somebody move in so he can aford to pay me!
  3. When my old S1 R33 had this done, cost me $1000, but tensioner was stuffed, yes stuffed, did not spin at all, i still have it and got the N1 pump for $50 so thought why not, BUT I also had a tune and a full serivce and some other bits and peices done too.
  4. Oh no doubt it is rice, but it is not like we are putting gtr badges on it or anything, just a great look, well that is all I am after. I think people who make thier gtst look like a gtr is because they want people to think it is a gtr, whereas there is no way we could make people believe that they made a gtr wagon, oh hang on a sec they did, but they called it a Stagea But as you said, the price leaves more than a deirable effect on other possible mods, turbo, suspension, brakes, rb26dett, etc etc etc. Still, god damn I love the look of it.
  5. Hey deno, made the change to the darkside too eh I got a 4wd stagea and going to skidpan/LVMA in a couple of weeks so should do a bit better than last time on the LVMA. Dunno how well it'll go on the skidpan though.......
  6. Yes, I saved ~$200 on tyres last year, and saved ~$500 all up in costs from Mercury Motorsports in the last year too. Plus had free breakfast at the Byron cruise, free parking up the top of the hill at the Byron cruise, entry into the upcomming LVMA/Skidpan day. When I joined I was not an exec but put my hand up for doing something for the club, so really with the member support it means any member could stand for an exec position and have a greater say in how the club is run. I am just really passionate about skylines and think that the investment I have made is very little compared to the returns I have seen.

  8. Nice, if you had that much money to burn, I guess, no offense Prank, but that is a lot of money in my opinion. Nice look though.
  9. ian, yeah series 2 seem to have a much more aggressive look to them, I just dont like the lights in the grill personally. 97r33gtst-typeM - Only problem then is when Mr Plod does the whole, "Bend over and let me look at your mods..." thing you cant just say, "Well it'll take me 2 seconds to remove them with a philips head screw driver officer, how about I just remove them right now, save you writing out a defect ticket?" Chances are the coppa will give you a ticket anyway, also with painted on it looks flat, whereas with bolt on's you can get them to match the bodywork so the eyelids fit to the contour of the shape of the bonnet. I'm going to start playing around with cardboard cutouts this weekend probably and see just how fiddly it would be to cut/bend these up. Probably send to Bass Junky for mass production if required, but I dont see a huge interest in them.
  10. Thanks Chris, well there's three of us, well five I know of, I reckon we should have a stagea get together, like a bbq somewhere on a saturday maybe....?
  11. Yeap, hmmmm might fix up those pics too, sorry, moved some stuff around on my webserver, they should be fixed now. Mercury Motorsport - http://www.mercurymotorsport.com.au/ 1300 558 650 - [email protected] Ask for Trent.
  12. I have a Stagea whit an RB25DET and it used to be auto and it has a powerfc in it. I didnt do the conversion, Mercury Motorsports in Brisbane did it and tuned it all before I purchased it. So if you want a powerfc in a RB25DET (auto to manual conversion) give Mercury a ring and they should be able to help you out.
  13. Saw Oz's beast, sitting in his home yard
  14. Pick me Pick me! As part of the SAu QLD club we run a couple of dyno days at mercury a year. I will probably be on a lot of other cruises, like the MSC's and other general club cruises. I dont think I'll be on many general forum cruises as I dont actually have the car, my fiance has it atm and she live on the northside, I see it on the weekends though
  15. Terminal, yeah they are nice, I'm just going for a but more of an agressive look, still they are nice. Did you buy them seperatly or did it come with them?
  16. Saw a Dark Blue Series 1 in Beenleigh this arvo, had silver 5 spoke rims. I waved but was in a white patrol so got a wierd look
  17. I have contacted the previous owner cause he had the stock suspension replaced with king springs and coilovers, waiting for him to call me back, I am in brisbane too Once I hear I'll let you know.
  18. Well what do you thinnk? Before: After: Fear my mspaint skillz Thinking about getting two bits of sheetmetal and bending it up to fit, so what do you think, looks crap or good?
  19. Yeah I had that thread bookmarked but with this new change to invision it doesnt work, but Jay has a great howto for doing this, which also explains that it should not be done for long periods of time. I personally would love to be able to do this when I take my beast out on some skidpans, but is not worth the potential damage it might do.
  20. Very nice, tidy too! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!
  21. How about an EF wagon *cough* I mean a Silgea.......... Yucky poo I reckon!
  22. Seriously I dont think I'll be interested, not at this point in time. But if SydneyKid wouldnt mind sending me the design I wouldnt mind having a go at bashing one out for myself, as I have access to a metal workshop and heaps of scrap metal, it'd give me something to tinker with, I would not plan to start making these en masse or making them for anyone else for that matter. So how about it, may I get a copy of the design and measurments please?
  23. Yeah well I have not had a look at it, only going by what the mechanic told me, which was that the core was leaking pretty badly and would have to be replaced. I will be seeing the car this weekend, any way of looking at it without removing the dash......? Main thing is that the car is drivable with the bypass, just no heat through the air con system, meh.
  24. Using the search is easy enough to type, but why not start this thread as a sticky and have it in who people use and what experiances they have had? I personally recommend Troy at Zoom Auto Imports and Cresta (sp?) both in the capalaba area.
  25. Email sent, FIGHT THE POWER DAVE!
