  1. ^^^^ That is contrary to our experience with them. we ran them for two Targa Tasmanias, once on a '02 STi and the other time on a 34 GTR, and they were a great tyre, unmatchable in the wet in my opinion. Their outright dry performance has been surpased now though. We also found they worked best at lower pressures, liking to start around 24 cold and setting them at 30 hot.
  2. I hope the young blokes do well! And I'm not puttin the mocka on anyone by tipping them!
  3. HAHA...... hahahahahahahahhaahhahhahahahahaha
  4. I'll be watching Rookie with lots of interest! Matt's a great steerer from what I've heard, the Evo boys can obviously punt the thing along, so it's going to be great! I'm really looking forward to seeing Matt's blue car post transformation into a racer
  5. Ditto that Terry. 35 and in Qld.

    Check Your Nuts

I find I need to replace my alloy nuts annually, in that time they've probably been on/off up to 50 or 60 times. I've found exactly the same as you when I've failed to do that. You must always torque alloy nuts, never rattle gun, I elect to go with 80ft/lb. I also lightly lubricate the threads every third time with "Never Sieze". I buy mine from Racer Industries, Aussie made ones at about $10- each from memory, much cheaper than the Jap Titanium ones that admittedly, do last longer.
  7. I have a factory R32 GTS-t side mount intercooler to swap? edit: It's in VGC
  8. I'll be down Thursday AM
  9. Contact Giant and see whom he'd recommend mate. And I'm tempted to say put a standard box in it at that power level.
  10. There's always a "know it all"?!?! Champ, it's common knowledge that a 34 side mount cooler requires alteration to (professionally) fit into 32's. Namely moving the outlet and welding up the original. Not everyone want to use zip ties and donkey dick hose. And FYI Champ, rules here state prices are required, and if you opened your eyes you'd have seen they're all ob Ebay with no reserve.
  11. What's your budget? A doctor friend of mine has a blue 840 he's owned from new and he's starting to make noises about moving it on. Could be your car? He had an 850 prior to it and he said "I'd rather have a wart on my dick than an 850".
  12. Well noted. I'm (well!) over 25 and last enquired a few years ago, but an Oz delivered S15 is insurable through any of the mainstream insurers. Just Cars will f_ck on anything they quote you on
  13. Unsure Fatz........ and Russell, accom isn't expensive out there? we have share accom.
  14. Anyone attending the test days on wednesday and thursday? I'm working out when to fly down.
  15. An Aussie delivered S15 is the winner. I think the 15's are more fun to drive, but what really tips it over the edge for me is the insurance benefits in having an Oz deliver car.
  16. All on Ebay with NO RESERVE, but I'm listing them here to give you guys first option 1. R34 GTT side mount cooler, unmodified, very nice condition, comes with some brackets/hose etc..... I'd like $150- http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Skyline-R34-...836046064280995 2. R32 GTS-t factory side mount cooler. I think it's worth a fifty http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Skyline-R32-...=item335c51205c 3. R34 GTT factory side mount, professionally MODIFIED to suit fitment into an R32 GTS-t. Good mod! 18. Yeah, considering the atmosphere, that's a good time imo.
  19. Posts like these leave me sad and give me the feeling you'd already moved on On the upside, I can't wait for you guys to whip Snowy with under 3 litres of naturally aspirated pus. lol
  20. Talking to Troy from MPC last week, they're not going! Only one of their customers (Jeff) is going this year. I was suprised.
  21. Glad to see everyone getting pumpededed I too am catching the fever, just booked flights to come down and lend moral support and try and watch a few stages! You guys better be prepared for a stage streaker!!!! I'm arriving the 30th and am out on the 3rd after the epic pissup "D
  22. Shhhhhhh.
  23. Only "rear engines 6 cylinder cars" are excluded from the event, so to that read 911's. So Moslers/Lambos/and all the rest of the GT stuff are elligible as far as I know.
  24. I think they'd be pushing shit up hill to get any wing on stilts passed any pedestrian safety regs mate. The thing has a pop up bonnet (which Giant and I found in our first rally with the shit box ) to bounce them over the roof and cushion them from engine strike, not much good if you survive the front only to be chopped in half down the back Hey, am I onto something or what
