  1. Wow! That sounds extremely responsive! Niiiiice!
  2. Totally agree, if the two girls in the Unique Evo were in the main game, well, there'd be something wrong if they weren't giving Jeff a real good run for his money in E Mod. Reading through the list I'm actually suprised how relatively uncompetetive it looks! Why did Shaw pull out? I wouldn't be too concerned for the Evo's and STi's Benny, from some of the figures I hear the things make when nicely tuned on E85 it's actually the Lambo and Porsche guys that should be worried! lol And I totally agree on Rossarden, I'd be running full peak coming over that crest without a chicane there as a buffer I hope everyone has good brakes!
  3. I'd just supplement the factory tank with a feed from a secondary gravity fed tank mounted somewhere suitable. It's not that hard Have a look at Coad's dry sump tank for inspiration
  4. Just pulling the pin (short term anyway) on the Boss V8 boat anchor and replacing it with a new gen 5.0 litre engine. That's from July 1. Agter that, I don't know.
  5. The only bad thing with E85 for a GTR for Tugga is range.
  6. I wonder how much these cars will look like the original in comparison to Nascar? My thoughts are if they look like Nascars, it's all over for them, but if an Aurion (for eg) looks like a real Aurion, then it'll be cool
  7. Yeah understand that he's extremely passionate about the R's after speaking with Serge a few times on the phone I was referring more to the large drop in grunt the car copped when it came of VP fuel onto 98 (having said that it would no doubt benefit from a really good tune). It would be a lot more fun to drive with some power, regardless of where you hope to place
  8. Yes, now that it's getting closer I too am feeling the pain of not being there. There is always next year!
  9. Maybe because we're not going?
  10. The indentations look a lot like spark plug electrode mate. I once left mine at a "reputable" tuner for dyno-ing after a forged rebuild and was not happy with the results, (less power everywhere with higher specs) and after lots of head scratching I pulled it out and found the pricks had melted plugs in it (dash 8's) and simply put new ones in it and gave it back to me.
  11. I'm actually a Gen X but hey, who's counting
  12. Thanks for the info Bobby
  13. I do love that car! Will be fantastyic now someone has put some effort into sorting the few niggles it had. Serge, are you electing to run E85 to try and regain some power?
  14. Yet another double post. WTF
  15. Trust me, the horrible silver mesh is GONE now Pic; Offset is +15; Yeah, that's Mark's 'Hi Octane" car, I'm part of the "team" I guess
  16. Unsure at this stage Richard. May be heading to Eastern Creek wednesday with Berry for some Superlap practice, but would like to see lakeside on Sunday. Haven't been on track there since December I think?
  17. Very nice work! But, what is a "Drift Squid"? I'm of Gen Y and a Squid likely means something else. Well, I hope it does
  18. Nice video! Out there again this sunday?
  19. Yet another ddouble post. Whats doing with the forum since the server swap?
  20. I'd aim for 42 hot mate. So start at around 38 cold and bleed them back straight after your first run. Others may have some input on this, I am by no means the expert re this particualr tyre, and have only experimented a little.
  21. Great thread Damo! You guys make me want a bigger garage!
  22. Thanks mate These genuine kits are so nicely made! I was astounded to see the quality compared to our home grown copy stuff. Without much camber in the rear, the wheel is actually nearly level with the gaurd, but as I've now got about 3 degrees on it, it moves the upper wheel in a little. I small spacer would be sufficient if it bothered me, as I'm not going to order new wheels, they're kind of expensive. I'm led to believe these are also the only offset that Rays make them in 19x10.5.
  23. I'll snap a pic of mine on flat ground in the garage this afternoon. I'll also grab a straight edge try and gauge some measurements re gaurd clearence with that. It's also worth noting I run close to 3 degrees of neg in the rear.
  24. I'm currently on a set of KU36, they're pretty good, for what they are. I've found them about 2 seconds slower on a minute lap track. One quarter of the price though.
  25. haha. I assume you're refering to me? A mate visited Japan, spotted them on tele, and just had to bring back a dozen or two Giant (Russell) is their biggest fan, he says they come in particularly "handy" when driving Brisbane to Darwin.
